Hi Guys,
I was wondering about is there a way to OTA update our device WITHOUT UN-Rooting it ?!
i saw many videos on YouTube on how to update without losing your root but it was for other devices like ( S2 , S3 .... etc )
Bro just root ur device by cydia impactor. After than u can update ur phone by ota updates

no, cwm6 doesn't root your phone, cwm is a more usable replacement for the standart *recovery*. you can root your phone even with the standart revocery (of course if your phone has a "rooting update package" or something similar that is flashable from recovery).

Q) And after cwm installation is my warranty void?????

Q) if we install the custom rom and it doesn't work properly so how to install the stock rom..??????

I prefer superoneclick for rooting and unrooting......it will be unrooted if you have rooted with any way..............

okk..i hv rooted and working fine....
i installed cwm6....
ihv downloaded custom rom
x-zoom v3 so....
i wanted to know are there any problems occurred after installing that custom rom....
and if some problem occured

according to me...dont install that X-zoom its all wastage of RAM nothing use..just install holo launcher and you get that Xzoom theme......

Im new here and also using android phone, Here's the situation ive tried yesterday to root my phone which is Galaxy GT-I8552 android version 4.1.2 baseband version I8552DXAMG2 and kernel version 3.4.0-1163727 .. When ive tried to root my phone the instruction is to downgrade the kernel then i rooted it. so right now i cant turn back from the default kernel. Can you help me with this. sorry newbie here..

actually there's no error but my phone is a bit laggy. i guess it happens when i tried to downgrade my kernel for rooting.. newbie

actually i just to upgrade my kernel. i cant play some games like nba2k14 because it gets lag super.

You can flash stock firmware and then follow rooting method by cwm or use kingo root app. These process are far easy and without any lag.
Yes you should flash fresh stock firmware.

just flash the old one and then update it using playstore
I have the same phone. I rooted it successfully using Kingo App. Download and install Kingo App from kingoapp(dot)com. Enable usb debugging mode going to setting→developer options→usb debugging(set it to on). Run kingo app and then connect your phone to your pc using usb cable. The usb drivers will be automatically installed or kingo app will download and install it(over the internet). Then wait for some time until it says "rooted successfully".:thumbup:

yeah have the same company,as u know they wont upload the software u could root the phone from www.kingoandroidroot.com or kingoandroidroot on google search
Iv now got root with vroot app but can't find a ROM or recovery and there is not a lot on the way about this mob

hi,is ur tecmobile updated from the server if not the mobile will have the updated software on the internal drive :cyclops: u cud use the es file explorer from google play if not i cud sent the recovery but not the rom due to the company wont upload the rom
this solution might help ur problem p.s be sure that u backed up every single file on titanium backup its on google play for free and fro only rooted user

When i click twrp/cwm i see follwing messages see in attachment and i continue , phone get reboot and take in to recovery mode now i dont know what to do??

Try installing su binary using normal method as twrp/cwm is recommended for htc devices.:thumbup:

Ya i get it about that ..but main problem here is that i am not able to get g7 stock ..but g8 stock roll out for some countries.. for unroot i need same firmware but its not available so i have to unroot by super su setting but super su saying to update ,while updating by normal its says fail... so how may i update it??

I dont get updates by ota nor by kies i am nt able to install coz of modified my system.. and i dont get my current firmware stock as well in sam mobile or smsung updates to install and unroot it. I have to do it manually .and super su also not opening while opening it saying to update and not able to update as well .
Phone screen get blue and restart and i checked super su it get opened .. i dnt knw what happened but it get opened now.. now i have to unroot it by clicking permanent unroot in super su
Forget about ota update bcoz rooted device never get ota update so I guess theres only one way to unroot your device
That is -Flash it using odin with the same firmware on which your rooted device is running now. Flasing earlier version of firmware will brick your device:thumbup::thumbup:

After the latest kitkat update S222 , Notification screen is showing User 0 in the notification screen. Also in every notification its showing U0 in the right hand side. How to fix this ?? Someone please help..

I am not planning to root yet.. but you can with Vroot and rootdashi z-4 . Many users successfully rooted their device. Give it a try !
