If you want space, then root the phone and use an app called link2sd to move apps to SD card and free space. If you want free RAM space to make it more smoother, don't open too many apps in one go and stop any unnessesary processes and use a task killer e.g. Clean Master. If you want ultimate smoothness flash a custom ROM!

Custom rom like????
And my friend want the maximun smoothness.
If i can make it smoothness only with root and move all apps to sd then can you tell me a link to the link of root file for 2.3.6 and the link for unroot file.
The root or unroot became from recovery menu of the mobile correct?

Your all questions will be answerd by reading some Guides
Go to our General Section and Read some Guides related to Increase Internal memory ...and all..
Then Head to our Development section for Custom Roms
Choose as You taste Suits
Comparing Roms are not allowed in XDA ...
Thanks

Head towards these For Increasing internal memory
And For Root and UnRoot

No this increase internal memory of this mobile is really hard procedure and risky.
I want an EASY and very really workable way.
If simply root(NOT custom roms or anything else) it and move all the apps into 8gb sd card can i see any chance at the speed of the phone?
Can you tell me if this app can move apps to sd card to a samsung gt-s5839i even with stock unrooted android 2.3.6 doesn't allow me to do it?

See which ever Guide i had Provided is already tested and workable so do it on your own risk
And without rooting nothing is possible
About speed, yes your speed will be decrease little bit
And about App link2sd is most preferable .

So you thing if i ONLY ROOT the mobile and simply move most apps into the sd card the phone will work stable and fast correct?

No the speed will not remain as it is it will decrease little bit.. because of moving apps forcefully .

The speed when i power on the phone?
Correct?
When the phone it was powered on and it was scanned the sd card then the mobile it doesn't be so slow as it is now that internal memory it was fulled except 20-25mb correct?

In detail > do u mean what programs i tried to use? if it is apps are (a2sp pro - link2sd - app2sd -gl to sd - and much more programs )
i just can not move apps or games to my external sd card
when i used (app2sd) program it gives me this msg : the device does not have a real primary external storage or the primary external storage is emulated .
My device is (samsung galaxy S3 - odin rooted )
any solution? thx in advance
I think your /sdcard is internal memory. The /mnt/extsdcard is external memory. If you removed your external sdcard do all your files and stuff disappear or are they still there?
If you are rooted I think you can change where everything gets mounted or maybe change it in your boot.img.
Also, it's not for nothing. Consider this an educational journey into the rich world of rooted phones.

First thx and about stuff disappear , no i can still see them whenever i use usb cable or any
its my first android so am new to expressions (your boot.img)
its ok just wanted to have more memory cuz my empty memory is 700 mb :S right now
and am using the factory rom ( maybe i have to setup rom so it can work?)
about education am afraid to educate on my s3 maybe i have to buy a cheap one until i learn how to use
thx again bro
Since you are rooted you can install a custom rom that has no bloatware. You'll get more space because it will only have the apps that you want

[Q] real racing 3 install on stock P769 ?

Hey I was wondering how I can get real racing 3 to installed on a stock P769? I keep getting the "insufficient memory available" message.
It requires 1.7gb but the phone only has 1.6gb free new out of the box stock. I have a 8gb sd card in the phone but I can't get it to transfer until its installed i think. I don't wanna root the phone until a easier "one click" method becomes available.Any advice would be greatly appreciated if i can get this awesome game installed on this phone.
BTW: so far this phone seems very good overall to me , but I will have to wait to see how it is long term to give a final opinion.:good:

I'm pretty sure you can't until you root and swap internal and external memory. On the brightside we should be getting JellyBean any day now(hopefully) and with that, as long as you don't mind unlocking bootloader, comes easier rooting. So hang in there.

Oh really? I assumed there was a way that is the only problem with the phone i have so far is it should have had 8gb of factory ram at least in my opinion.

Doesn't stock Jelly Bean have apps 2 sd preconfigured? So you wouldn't need to root or unlock your bootloader in order to install this then.

Thats a good question.
No, JB has the option to transfer app to sd, but it isnt like app2sd cause it doesnt bring data, and then games like asphalt and real racing (with big data) would be difficult to install anyway.

so even if we do get the JB update we would still have to root the phone if we wanted to play big data games like real racing 3?
probably Yes, you would gain some free space but not so much
If you install CM10, will that give us more space on internal memory? I heard that P760 has 2.3GB available in total. Couldn't some dev find a easy to operate way to re-allocate the internal memory?

I can confirm that Real Racing 3 is working on my P768, you do need to root though. As long as you read slowly and follow all instructions to the letter, cmhendra's guide is very consise so you can't mess up. (The pre-modded files are handy - no hex editing needed) After you've rooted, you just need to use any scripter app to run the storage swap script on boot.
I'm using an 8GB class 10 card as my main storage and the game runs great!

Xt1528 - possible to install Google Play apps to sdcard?

Is it possible to install apps to your sd card?
At this point I'm unable to download larger apps (2gb+) due to the smallish internal memory of the phone. An example App is Icewind Dale, I'm able to get the apk and install it, but it will not download obb data to the sd card at all.
Thank you for any help!

Try link2sd. I can change the default install location but mine's rooted. Move as many of your other apps to SD as you can.

What I've observed is that some apps can be moved to SD and some can't. Being rooted and having link2sd helps, and link2sd will let you set the default install path to SD (with root). But some things like Chrome can't be moved. I think it has to do with hard-coded paths in some apps and not others. And then there's the Android 5+ nonsense about not using SD to promote the cloud. Might be worth looking into Ubuntu instead of Android. Sadly, Google is a company making decisions they think will maximize profit. Ubuntu doesn't have a vested interest.
2 gigs for one app, no way would I want such a thing unless I had a terabyte of internal memory. That's bloatware.

Unable to move Apps to SD Card on Stock ROM

I'm unable to move my apps installed on Honor 5X - L22 (indian) model - Using Class 4 Memory card - 4Gb, is that an issue using low Class SD Card does not allow apps to be moved ??
Tried using Apps to move Apps but unable to detect them to move ? Are those locked ? Yet patches will fix this issue on this Stock ROM - Not Rooted.

Right i'm able to move indvidual apps through apps. But still unable to make it at smooth.
Settings-> Manage Apps. Click on the app you want to move and click 'Move to sd Card'. Once moved to sd card, the button description will change to 'Move to Phone'. If the app is a system app, it may have this button disabled. If your not root, then I would suggest you root your phone to give you more permissions (these buttons may be disabled on non-root devices). Your sd card is fine, it maybe slow, but it should still work. There are apps on the market which can move apps to sd card but they may require root.

What exactly does rooting mean?
And why do people brick their phone when trying it?!
Arobase40 said:
Root is the process of elevating your your rights on your system just as Administrator with Windows or root with Linux.
This has mostly nothing to do with bricking a phone but with flashing custom ROMs with some flashalcoholic guys...
It's the same story as with alcohol or with drugs, you know its bad and not good for your health but there is that insane curiosity, and with some guys they will continue even though they have had bad experiences...
Instead, with root when done and use correctly is a very powerful and wonderful tool !

In order to flash a custom ROM you have to first have root in the first place. Root gives you the permission to do things on your phone when normally you wouldn't beable to do so (Like flash a custom ROM {which means modified OS}).
You should search the forums and get good at searching the forums and google. Internet peeps don't like people who ask questions that have already been answered. Just a piece of friendly advice yo.

HELP! Linking internal RAM to external (microSD) RAM

I've recently acquired a D618. The previous owner already updated to Lollipop 5.0.2. I'm just wondering how I'll be able to install apps to the microSD card, because it fills up the internal RAM that quickly. Any help will be appreciated.
First of all, it's not called RAM.
You can move apps to the SD after they are installed.
Go to Settings > Apps , find the app you want to move, press it and then press "Move to SD".
Not all apps are movable.
Also, do you have root?

Not for moving apps from Settings, but rooting gives you more options and the ability to move all apps.

If you gain root access you can try to partition a sd-card and use link2sd to really move apps to external storage. Do some research about link2sd. If you're stuck, let me know.
