I came across this mount today. looks pretty nice. I was thinking about picking one up because the mount that I have now really sucks. Just thought I would share the link.
edit:
looks like you can get it from amazon from a price range of $16 - $25 (here)
Mine is in the way as well, should get it this Monday. I hope that ball size is same as garmin.

Might order one from Amazon tomorrow, it is only $18 through them.
I'd love to know if the ball is the same size as the Garmin ball - I've got lots of other holders & other stuff that use that size. Please let us know if it is when yours arrives.
Thanks -

Good news, the ball is the same size as my Arkon, do not have garmin now, but I bet it's the same.
Thread on the back is a bit different from arkon one so I use exogear coupling box with arkon base.

Sweet, Thanks for the post. I ordered one, ordered from amazon for $18, shipped from San Diego, I received mine the next-day via USPS to SoCal. Score
Some people have complained its "cheap plastic", and while it does feel a little "thin" it does what is is intended to do plus its awesome. I mounted to an existing Garmin dash disc. Arm is solid and holds device steady.
I want to watch movie on note while driving with my wife...any good one you can recommend that can hold note?

If he uses his arms while driving to hold his NOTE to watch a movie, he won't have a hand free to hold his beer.

I use a Bracketron unit. I've had it for a few years now. They make them with different mounting options. From windshield to vent to the cupholder version I use. They are like 30 at BB or can be had much less online. They are fully adjustable for size, tilt and swivel. I'm going to take a picture to give you an idea.

Got my Mountek CD slot mount today. Installed in my Audi Q5. Looks great, it only went in about 80-90% of the slot but it feels really secure and tight. Best solution for mounting I've seen so far.

im using this one www . proclipusa . com/brodit-device-holder/proclip-other-holders/regular-adjustable-holder-with-tilt-swivel-for-wider-devices-with-or-without-a-skin-875214A-13978.aspx
...doesnt work with reiko premium hybrid case.. actaly works if i remove rubber part
ps: remove spaces in the link
I have a Proclipusa [Brodit] mount in my Toyota Prius and it's great. I've been using Proclip mounts forever and highly recommend them. They're expensive, but they're precise and I think there is enough room in the back for an extended battery as it just has rails on the side that hold the phone with a big space behind it.
I'd take pictures, but I use my phone to take pictures.
It's a two piece mount. One part fits your phone perfectly, while the other part fits your car perfectly and mate together for a perfect fit.

No they wont, and you can have a CD in the player and still listen to it, you just cant eject it or load one obviously. Ive been looking at these for awhile and still flip flopping back and forth. To get he best idea of how they work just watch an installation video on it and you'll see it's quite simple and seems to be a very solid mounting method.
I prefer windshield mounts, as I can look at them while still keeping an eye on the road. Looking down at my dash I might as well be holding the phone..
Arkon is my preferred brand, their suction cup is very large and holds up well, I've had an Arkon Universal 14" for several years and it works great for my car with a long windshield, I bent the 14" arm so it comes off the windshield, touches the dash, then has the phone pointed at me, so no bouncing or vibration. They have a larger mount, but the Universal I have (slightly different than the current one, so might check specs) worked fine for my Nexus One and works fine for my Note.
I use the Samsung OEM mount, it's super solid, charges and has a 3.5mm Audio-out jack to run into your car's AUX-In.
I have two, one is vent mounted, the other is window mounted above my speedometer.
Car Air Vent Mount Holder For Samsung Galaxy Note i9220
The above works just fine on my i717.

I actually like the phone naked, Buy I did pick up the Samsung Leather Case
(about the size of a checkbook) that fits it nicely while in my pocket.
Yeah, I'm a naked phone user myself.

I've had good luck with my Arkon mount. It even fits on my custom Nuvi-based mount for my car http://images47.fotki.com/v422/photos/7/7305/1460783/IMG_2462-vi.jpg
I'm soon to receive a tablet mount from them as well that I'm hoping to incorporate somewhere close to my dash.
Here's a start for you: http://arkon.com/Galaxy-S-II/index.html
This is the one that I got for my phone, works great with my cases (Ballistix and Seidio Active): http://arkon.com/Galaxy-S-II/megagrip-galaxy-s-2-flexible-windshield-car-mount.html
The camera is a little covered though, so I had taken a dremel and cut out a square piece to allow for it to show through. Sanded it off and it looks great, doesn't affect the performance of the mount at all.
EDIT: Supposedly the RAM mounts are very good as well, but are somewhat pricy. http://www.rammount.com/
I use the RAM mount on my motorcycle and it works well, so it should work great in a car too. It will also allow you to use the phone with any kind of case.

I've used Samsung and even one day bought one at Walmart both work equally well. I prefer using the Samsung with the app iOnroad. Grab that app if u don't have it very cool. In fact a similar option in my last car to what it can do cost an extra 2 grand.

That's cheap enough. Only worried about whether it works with a case - both in fitment and whether the charging pin is long enough to plug in still with certain cases.
Good price but it's a cheap product from China that make me worried for my note 3.

That one's smaller, not designed for the Note 3, connector is also the old USB 2.0 design
That cheaper plug still works (N2 plugs, etc still work on N3 just not USB3)
However, thats making the phone stand up on its own weight almost & is puttting more stress on the plug then there really should be (hence the cheapness, bad not thought out design) I actually had a iphone 5 dock from china that I got for $4 the lightning plug snapped off from the phones free standing weight.
Ive owned those cheapy chinese docks for other phones, and...Honestly NOT worth the money even at that price. Finding one that has actual support behind the phone would be better...

Not sure which one you have but the one posted here has back support. I use a Ringke Slim Case which perfectly snugs in the dock.
EDIT: I however just tried using my spigen bounce case and it wouldn't fit Good thing I stop using that case.

Here are the pics after almost 20 days waiting. It is of decent quality but the openings are not accurat. For instance the spen is really hard and I mean almost impossible to take out and the charger opening can be bigger but it worls just fine other than that for the price of less than 5 bucksi would buy another one in a heart beat.

I got mine today....
I ordered one from aliexpress. I received my case in 15 days, not bad at all. As for the quality of the case, I really can't complain, it says spigen neo hybrid, nothing like spagen or ned hibrid. The access to the ports work ok, the S-pen is a little harder to get but not impossible. The buttons feel a little shaky but not bad.
For 6.35 usd and free shipping I can't find for now anything wrong. I am sure there are great differences with the real one, but I don't have one to compare. You get what you paid for.
I got my case from this aliexpress seller:

I would be happy to answer any question from you.
Oh I forgot, the seller provided a tracking number, that is not usual for an order with low value. So it's another plus for them.

I'm assuming, since that was their one and only post, that they do NOT have both cases! Heck, they probably don't even have one of them, real or fake. People normally don't bother to join a site just to make 1 short post. If they felt so strongly about the topic that they did go through the trouble of joining a site just to post, then you can be assured that they would reply when quoted and asked for more info on that topic!
Anyway, that out of the way. I appreciate your posts, pics, and info. It doesn't look bad at all, I was honestly expecting much worse! Unless someone has an authentic Spigen case in that same model, then they won't know the difference. I have an authentic Spigen Bounce case, but I wouldn't have known that yours was a knock-off had you not stated it.
SwiftKey'ed from my White Sprint Note 3 via XDA Premium
Has anyone tried this case? I want to give it a shot but I wanted some feedback if someone has already tried it or has it.
Thanks!

Thanks, I have tried original spigen case for my S3 and I think they are overpriced. Specially for the newer model phone like our S3. I will buy the knock off instead. Thank you.
One question though, they do not accept paypal, and I am weary of giving out my credit card number. Did you use CC or bank transfer?
===========
Edit:
I couldn't resist the temptation so I ordered 2 cases. Slim Armor and Neo Hybrid both for $13 delivered. We'll see when they get here next month.
I've seen some killer deals on that site, but always wondered about the sketch-factor, so have never placed an order. However, after getting a feel for what they're all about through this thread, I'm feeling some temptation to grab one of these S-View cases: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/High...-N9000-Elegant-Stylish-Design/1347667183.html
Anyone have one? Thoughts?
Regarding the problem with the S-pen hole in the Neo Hybrid knock-off, I'd probably just grab a drill with any medium sized bit, then run the drill and use the side of the bit to "sand" around the edges to widen and align the hole. Seems like that would work on plastic, unless I'm missing something?

I got one of these and after a couple of minutes with a sharp knife and small file I was able to enlarge the s-pen opening. Now no problems.
