Hello
I just buy "damaged" cell phone from internet. I see i had very negative option from seller.
After many talks before buy i deduced this will be problem with usb port.
Phone is working on other battery, but cant recharge.
Loader is working with other phones/tablets.
So i decided to buy new connector on internet, but after change this still have that same problem. Phone dosen't work.
Any ideas?
Need help, now i waiting for service manual, but dont think to get info about this prob there. Last thing in my head will be problem with mainboard, but meaby u know something about problem like My with this model of phone.
MOST IRRATIONALE SITUATION.
On cousin loader ( who have THAT SAME telephone) my phone working everything is fine, only we see yellow triangle with my battery but HE TURN ON and try to charge this battery! HOW THAT CAN BE? My loader and my old loader for samsung phone ( little lower amounts of Ampers) and on my brother loader for tablet HE WONT start.
Whats is wrong?
I'm looking new information, when i have pluged cable to my loader phone will more warm in sim card place, but still do nothing and wont start or charge the battery :/

He didn't mean the battery got shorted out, he meant that the PHONE may have shorted out. I think you need to send it in to HTC for repair. It most likely needs a new motherboard. It's really hard on electronics when they get immersed in liquid.

Well guys Im going to be as quick as I can.. as the title says..I got all those problems
How everything started.. Well one day as usual I went to sleep and connected my phone to the charger.. As I woke up I realised my screen phone was on which was weird cause the first I thought was some freak called me .. well I was wrong.. my cellphone was "plugging-unplugging" to the charger.. And the battery life was at 75%~.. Okay I said damn Ima fix this as I come home today.. all day went thru, MY CELLPHONE EARLY DIED (Battery got 0% in less than 4hrs) And well the first thing I thought was buying a new battery.. sadly in my country is hard to get something "Original" if that can be called.. so I bought a OEM one.. well I put it on the phone.. went to my home and when I get to charge the phone.. IT SHUT DOWN WHEN YOU PLUG IT WITH THE OEM BATTERY well I was really concern about that.. So I said hey lets give a try shutting it down and connecting it while it's off.. WELL something weird happens too.. It shows the icon of the battery trying to load the status (The circle) but it shows up- dissapear-shows up- dissapear all the time.. Well.. I guess my luck was too bad.. During the week I was dealing with those charging problems like really much all the night thinking about the phone, checking if it was connected, doing everything as possible to get 100% thru unplugs and not charging.. Well I decided to send it to a Technical Service.. BUT I didnt told him to check the phone(I was running low on money) just told him to change the USB PORT.. well everything seemed fine when he delivered it to me.. as I came home and plug the phone, everything runs cool.. TILL it gets 90%.. It just disconnected by itself, didn't charge anymore.. connected it again and did some charge to 93% DISCONNECTED AGAIN, and then when I plugged in the charger it didn't make the sound of charging.. I had to play with the "Hole" trying to make it charge..Now it isnt even moving on from 93% and it doesnt fully charge.. I MUST ADD I was running on 2.3 Gingerbread when I got my phone, after 2 months I updated it to 4.0.3 ICS And THIS WAS WHEN THE PROBLEM APPEAR.. And I thought it could be a Software problem so I updated it to 4.1.2 JB from Shostock3 and well.. Here I am with a new battery not charging, my battery dying so quick and a lot of money wasted.. Thanks in advance for some help (MY LAST IDEA IS Downgrading the Software. But u guys could give me some ideas) TY!
So don't mess with the software just yet ...
So when you say play with the "hole" does it mean the phone's connections port is damaged? because if it is damaged and it cannot hook up firmly then all bets are off.
But if that is not the case, I would try a different charger.
Try hooking up your phone to your computer, and see if your computer's USB will fully charge the phone. Just leave it and see what happens. If it did, then you got a bad charger, and need to get a new charger.
If I'm not mistaking those chargers have 5 volt ~0.7-1.0Amp output requirements so read about them and be mindful of the output requirements.
Good luck,
Hi. I was just browsing on my rooted galaxy s2. Suddenly the whole screen froze. It would not do anything, so i decided to take the battery out. When i put it back in, it turned on and was stuck on the "samsung galaxy s2 i9100" screen. So i decided to take the battery out and try again. This time it wouldnt turn on or charge. When i plug it in, it just gets hot, but there is no sign of life. I tried holding the power button and entering recovery and download mode. But its not recognised. I dont think its the battery because when i plugged it into a pc without the battery, it still wasnt recognised.
Before this happened, i was running the solo launcher and i was using a kindle paper charger for it.(first time i used this).
Please help me find a way to fix it without jtag. Usb jig won't work, its totally not functioning to anything except getting hot when plugged in.
Signs of life:
Gets hot when plugged in.
sadly bro,but it sounds like a motherboard is dead
if you have access to usb jig - atleast try it
if no joy - motherboard replacement

oh ok thanks, i am not under warranty, so could i just send it to a local repair store, or do i need to send it to samsung. If so, how much would it cost?
sent it to your local repair shop - it will be less expensive than samsung's service
you can also buy the mobo at ebay etc,and pay only for the procedure
idk about the price, mail the repair shop about that.
USB ports
When my phone was newer I had a lot of usb port trouble, overheating, failing to charge properly, even apparent bricking. I heard there was an issue with this port. I narrowed it down by sticking a small object into the USB port and levering the pin slot back up to the middle (preventing the short).
That fixed it for a while. Also fluff can create a short, so blowing it out can fix it.
It finally failed again, so I bought a $5 piece from ebay, watched a youtube video and fixed it properly.
So, try firstly blowing out the usb port, then using a toothpick to push it around a little. If that fixes your phone then all good
Yeah, that'll fix it
I buyed LG L9 P760 yesterday, second hand device..
I was pretty happy about it because i got it for about 80€ and then all of this selling, fixing and buying stuff with mobile phones punched me right
between the eyes!
The problem is, device came with bumper, usb and a charger. So when i came home, the touch screen became crazy as hell. I just couldnt belive it..
I was unable to write a word, couldnt hit the right icon, touch was so miscalibrated i couldnt belive it. So i tought it might be a software issue because
it would freeze from time to time and nothing would help but hard reseting the phone. While dealing with it, in one moment i disconnected the phone from
the computer and the phone just died. And thats it..He's dead now. I left it on charger over the night, nothing happened, tried connecting it back to the computer, nothing. Computer doesnt even recognize the device. I couldnt do a hard reset, couldnt get into a S/W mode, recovery mode or anything else. I aslo left the battery out for half an hour, nothing. Then i took it apart all the way down, nothing. Everything seems to be normal. No water damage or what so ever..At least i think. So it must be a motherboard.
I just want another opinion because thats kinda strange. It just died in the moment when i unplugged the USB cabel from cellphone.
Ofcourse, i cant do anything with phone right now because i cant even connect it to a pc..
Greetings, thanks.
Anyone?! :good:
lg p760 dead
same thing happend to me. i sent a email to lg care and they told me to contact local service. the local service does not have replacements mb.
so a have a dead phone and no ways to fix it.
Yesterday I picked up my phone in the morning to find that it would not turn on. I tried the usual power button + volume button combinations to get into recovery and download/flashmode but the boot loop seems impossible to break. I left the phone with the rubber band trick all night (around 14 hours) to pick it up this afternoon. No 3 buzzes from either rubber band trick, powerbutton + vol up or red reset/off button.
The only symptoms i have is:
When not connected to charger: screen off, led off, no buttons seems to work.
When connected to charger: Red led on, no buttons work.
When connected to PC: Red led on for about 8 seconds then off, repeat. No buttons seems to work.
The red led behaviour when connected to my PC seems to show that the phone is in some kind of boot loop. Flashtool log seems to back this up:
13/054/2015 15:54:43 - INFO - Device connected with USB debugging off
13/054/2015 15:54:43 - INFO - For 2011 devices line, be sure you are not in MTP mode
13/054/2015 15:54:58 - INFO - Device disconnected
This loops forever
Can anyone help me or do I need to get a new phone? The back of the phone have been smashed but I replaced it myself since im on a tight budget so my warranty is gone :/
Thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
dont rush to replace ur phone, if its a software damage it means it can be fixed.. since the back was already smashed I would advise u to disassemble the phone and see if maybe some flat cable has gone loose. after that u can start doing software repairs.. the idea is that maybe the motherboard has got disconnected from the battery, or the usb port is not attached properly to the motherboard. Im just guessing. If its any comfort in my experiance almost any software issue can be fixed

I have just removed the back. Nothing is loose, out of place or disconnected. But that would have been weird as f since I changed the back in august thanks anyway
@knightofdenmark, You should check the battery, my guess is that it could be faulty. Take it out and get it tested for efficient functionality. If there's no enough power, establishing effective communication between flashtool and phone won't function properly. Good luck
NB: let us know what happens
New battery worked!
So I took your advise and checked the battery. No voltage what so ever, so I ordered a new one from ebay and just installed it 2 minutes ago, works like a charm
Thank you all guys
Good luck

I'm glad it worked out for you. I had similar experience that's why I said so.
