Hello! I have tried to get help from here before but then i did not have much info about the programs i used for my phone.
Anyways, I have a LG Optumis 3D (P929). I rooted it as told, Got myself a rom ( i useClockworkmod recovery v6.0.1.9).
Restarted into recovery mod and i did wipe out data/factory resetfollowed by Cache...
Installed this famous-for-not-working-file "XBSA404.ZIP". Not only me who's getting "Installation aborted" whitout any details why.
I have also tried out "ISC 30a" wich is supposed to be the stock rom. This one works to install but nothing happends.
It says it is mounting but as the XBSA404.ZIP once it comes to install it just jumps to complete?
It seems but i dont know if iits supposed to do that? It takes around 2minutes for this to happend..
Since i tried to install a newer version of android into my phone, everything is stuck at the startup logo. "Bricked" i think is the word.
Im new within this but i try to learn. Now i just want it to start and what ever i must do to get it to work again i am happy for any help with it.
I have looked for downloads with any working ROM and on this site all the links seems not to work.
I have done this tutorial via xda forum a several times without any good resaults.
Also.. once i try to start up in recoverymod the phone jumps into my logo and freezes. I press vol- home and power, releasing once the logo appears. Dont know if its me or if its the phone thats not working. No dmg to it what so ever but i have to repeat this a several times before it comes into recovery mod.
Please help!
Did you backed up your phone's ROM?
else, I think you have to find someone that have the same phone as you are and back its ROM then use that back up ROM to your own phone
*fellow people out there correct me if i am wrong, thanks"

Hello, I just bought my G-tablet and I have severely screwed it over. First, I rooted it and installed CWM, (It went fine). Then I flashed Cyanogen 7, following their wiki full update instructions. It was running fine till I found out that for some reason, my computer nor the tablet even knew it had an SD (Computer found nothing, File explorer on tablet had nothing) coupled with the fact Gapps refused to install, I figured this would be solved in a wipe then another flash. Nothing was different. So I wiped again (seemed to have froze during) but the flash of Vegan 5.1 seemed to have went well... for now. However, trying to install Adobe Flash via the preinstalled android market, it wouldn't install. It kept saying download unsuccessful, for every single app I tried. (no it's not an network problem). Being the noob I am I started following random googled XDA threads on how to fix this. I partioned 4gig from my sd to see if that would fix the market problem. I got stuck in a bootloop so I was forced to reflash vegan. When I did, I found out that when I tried to install anything it said something along the lines of "Not enough space" knowing I had 13 gigs of memory leftover, I figured I'd try rebooting. Got stuck in bootloop. Then followed yet ANOTHER googled guide (droidpirate brick fix) and now I can't even access CWM. It just loads as IF it were going to CWM but then shows me a /!\ caution sign then instantly turns off. When I normally start it, it goes into bootloop. when I try to get to CWM (holding volume up, power) it goes to a useless flash that I presume just fails, then brings me back into the bootloop. As far as I see, I have no way of fixing this...
I know this is so much to read, so in a brief explanation.. I'm in a bootloop, cannot get into CWM (brings me to a failed flash then back into boot loop) and am in dire need of assistance Please help me
Go read the posts on nvflash and learn how to use it. It is your friend!!

NvFlash is currently not working for me, I don't know exactly where I messed up but my computer already has the drivers to read the tablet. when I run the .bat, it doesn't seem to do anything.
Scratch that, got it to work. I didn't extract one of the folders entirely. But my tablet is still stuck in bootloop even after this? what now?

Take this with a grain of salt, as I learned it is not 'always' your friend
Now it's just on the stock Viewsonic birds and Gtablet logo bootloop...
Even after I NvFlashed it... Still can't access CMW.
Any suggestions?
Nvm, I got it to what appears to be working. (and I just about jizzed all over my tab.) Thanks so much. Saved me a beating from my parents.
I've tried to look for this problem and haven't found anything similar. If it's already been addressed please direct me to the previous thread, if this is in the wrong place please move it.
I rooted my Galaxy S II a while ago and it's been working great. I wanted to try Cyanogen mod 7 and so I followed the instructions on their website. Trying to use ROM manager gave me a weird error message telling me that there was an invalid signature or something, despite toggling everything and wiping the cache to turn it off. So I followed the "method via recovery" instructions. I did everything exactly as it is there, including the Google apps stuff, and it all seemed to work perfectly. Then I rebooted it hoping for it to boot into CM7, and instead, when it turns on it goes to the screen saying Samsung Galaxy S II with the yellow triangle underneath, and stays there. Every time it turn it on it goes to that screen and doesn't change. It's now been like that for half an hour. I can start it up into download mode, and I've tried flashing zImage to it again, but no change.
I have a NANDroid backup (it's backed up with CWM anyway), and I've copied the backup to my computer, but I have no idea how to apply it when the bloody thing won't turn on.
I'm using Linux with Heimdall (the cross-platform Odin clone).
Please help me. Unfortunately I have no internet in my flat so I won't be able to see any advice until tomorrow unless it;s given in the next ten minutes. God I really hope the thing's ok.
Hi
Do you have jigg? ( if you don't have it buy it from ebay or ask some friend of you )
With jigg you can enter download mode and then flash the stock rom.
Pull battery, wait 10s, then boot while holding power+vol-up+home. This should get you in recovery. Then restore nandroid.

I can't believe it was this simple, I knew power+vol-down+home got tme to downloading but I didn't know that got me into recovery. Everything's recovered now.
Thank you Dutch people!
Hi all,
I got an HTC Explorer around a month ago and quickly found out how useless it was with the miniscule amount internal storage HTC decided to provide me with. So I quickly found jaggyjags' rooting tutorial found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1415223
All went well and I was happy with the phone, until some of the apps started bloating and I went a little too far with link2sd and tried to convert the com.htc app into a user app, which ended disastrously. Pretty much every process failed or had an error, so I tried restarting the phone and found myself in a boot-loop.
I then succesfully got into HBOOT and then into recovery. So I decided to try installing jaggyjags' custom ROM. After taking out my SD card to connect to my computer and copy jaggyjags' rom to, I got back into HBOOT, but could not get into recovery anymore. All the phone did was get stuck on the HTC screen.
After leaving it on the screen to see if it would eventually make it to recovery, I discovered that the phone is now dead and won't even charge. I'm not sure if it's because the battery might be dead or some other reason.
But before I gather the courage to send it in to get fixed, is there anything else I can do?
Thanks,
Aruim
So have u tried to turn it on with the charger connected?
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e
Remove the battery and leave it out for a little while, then put it back in and plug in the phone and see if it will charge at all. Even if the screen doesn't show the charging animation, try turning it on after a little while on the charger.
Turn on and hold Volume Up to get into the bootloader, then try to get into fastboot if you can. If you can, try reflashing the recovery menu, then maybe you will be able to access it after that?
Just a few ideas from someone who doesn't really know very much about this sort of thing (thankfully).
Thanks for the reply guys!
Unfortunately the phone still isn't turning on at all, even after fiddling with the battery and putting it on the charger.
So now I may look into saving up and investing in a Sony Xperia S
Thanks anyway! And I'll continue posting if I do make any further progress!

This problem probably has shown up a lot and usually I would take my time to look around before asking but I'm feeling lazy so here goes:
I recently put in a new-ish ROM (it's am US stock type ROM that I found on here) and all works well except for one thing - the CWM refuses to load. At first I was getting the dead android with the red triangle sticking out and so I decided to use ROM Manager to flash CWM again. Might have been a bad move since I'm still fairly noob-ish but anyhow it didn't work. Now whenever I try to go in it just freezes. If I try manually it shows the RCK box, android box, etc and just stays there. When I try to do it through ROM Manager it stays at the first ASUS logo. Can someone refer me to a guide I could follow or even give me a solution to fix this? I will be very grateful. Thank you in advance.
As previously stated I am a complete noob when it comes to flashing android devices.
Here is the problem I am faced with: I recently rooted, and unlocked the bootloader on my atrix hd (ATT)
Since then I tried installing cm10.1 multiple times on the secondary "Rom slots" within the bootloader, without any success. So I finally decided to go for it and install cm10.1 in the "stock rom" slot, Prior to doing this I did a back-up using Rom manager. Aand now I seemingly can't even boot into recovery mode, every time I restart my device it simply goes to the cyanogenmod blue ring thingy and gets stuck! (I have left it for 15-20 mins thinking it might be some kind of installation process..) But apparently it's not and i've broken my smartphone lol. Anyway i'd really appreciate some help fixing this problem, a step-by step guide would probably work best..!!! I have both windows 8 and Ubuntu installed on my pc, just saying..Don't know if it's relevant information and may simplify fixing my problem...Thanks in advance guys and girls
i've even tried holding down all three physical buttons and it simply takes me back to the same screen!!!
you could try something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2434726
.. and you are sure, that you can not enter the recovery menu??
official motorola guide, how to enter recovery menu:
https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/60620/action/auth
.. adb could be your last possibility, if everything else fails, google it, you'll find many answer
