Hey guys, so far I am really happy with my S4. I have no complaints but one, the notification light. Dear god Samsung couldn't have possibly used a worse color. Its such a dark blue you can't even see it unless its very dark in the room you are in. I really want to change the color of the light but all of the apps have problems. I have Xposed installed and working and wanam running too. Is there any way I can change the color of the notification to like white or something?

Well ya gotta remember that you cant make it a color its not meant to be..On that note...have you checked out Lightflow?

i used it a few times and it worked pretty well for me and it gave me a choice for how bright i wanted the light.

That my friend is a darn good question. I used it and loved it on my Galaxy Nexus, but went to the HTC One from there and the light options were very limited. I have yet to test it out on my S4. But it seem the guy above me on this post likes it..I do believe there is a Lite version that you can test out as well!

I've used it on my S4 and loved it, you can pretty much set any type of notification to any color of led (granted if that color is supported by our device) you can also, if my memory serves me right, change the duration and and frequency of the led.

S4 has an RGB led for notifications. When I used lightflow, the best colors were, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, White, Pink. Yellow kind of worked, and some of the lighter colors, auqua, etc looked like white. It works good, if memory serves me correct, sometimes it would not reset it's notification, but other than that, it was pretty good.

I use Lightflow and it works great.
I use light flow, purchased the full version from the play store and works pretty well.. go into your settings and give it accessibility

It works. Only thing after setting it you need switch OFF and switch ON the charger to have the Notification activated.

You can use the "sky blue" color now with Light Flow, that hasnt always been available.
With the next build of CM7 you will be able to use all the colors too, directly from CM Settings.

Is the mess up fixable though? Looks good with RED tiles!
What will be awesome is if you could extend this mod to other basic colours like green and blue?

Hey i was just curious if anyone would like different colors besides the black and red or black and cyan colors...keep in mind i am busy with other projects but will build custom color schemes upon request...if so just let me know and i'll get to it when i can...ill aim for as basic as i can unless you provide great ideas or images. thanks for reading.

The black and red one i made is in themes and apps section known as Masque Of The Red Death...if you want an all black and dark grey scheme i can build one

You already nailed it with the Masque for me. Anything red and rocks harder than a metal song is exactly what I want on this device.
Only other type of request I'd make is to do a Beats/HTC logo variant on the graphics with basic red/white menus to give a "stock+" style to choose from for this particular phone.

good idea...still doing some other work but when im done ill start that one...TheWhiteTiger gave me a brilliant idea for a black and dark grey theme earlier and just about done with image work...a little coding afterwards and its done

Probably Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Death, etc....all the good ones....maybe even Volbeat
I could see me rocking Volbeat theme. I already switch between the inverted beats and the raven one.
Edit: any idea if any of your themes would work for the DNA? I will be getting one soon from a good friend.

haha i would love one of those myself haha...actually with my themes as far as i know they are meant for the rezounds height and width...ill take a look at what the DNA is and i can build you one for the DNA if it supports it

I was thinking for metallica do an album cover based style...like a ride the lightning theme....volbeat would be the blueish grey theme...slayer would be an obvious red...pantera the typical texas cowoy from hell / rebel look....Death....idk yet...that band is pretty out there theme wise
Now the only problem becomes which one to use. Need a random twrp theme pool. Love all of the ideas. If your taking requests, I throw one in for a Parkway drive theme. If not, no biggie, there will be plenty of awesome options already
I'll see what I can do....to also give a few hints...I'm setting setting stuff up on my build machine for a first rom

i just updated minin3 maximus and minimus roms.
check them out.
minimus is stock but stripped to the bone (500mb or so)
maximus is pretty heavily modified with an eye toward speed,battery use, and personal customization.
both are fairly mature at this point and should be mostly rock solid stable.

Jellybomb 3.0 (Test build)
Looks great, works well, but I'm having an issue with screen timeout. Basically, it won't timeout. It will only dim. I've had the problem with the 2.0 stable build and the test build. I will probably try a stock rom next. It is annoying to have to turn the screen off everytime.

I got in running and its really smooth. The only thing I dont like is the see through app draw and pull down bar. I just wish it was a little darker to block out the background a little more. Other than that its really nice. Smooth and fast..
Oh, and the live wall paper picker isnt working.. Not a deal breaker.

You can change the opacity of the drawer...
It's under
Wanam xposed > themes > I think it's panel background
There should be an opacity slider.
And live wallpaper should work, the issue is none come installed by default.

Sweet. I changed the opacity and its perfect now. Live wallpaper picker crashes every time though. I did a clean install. Not really a big deal but Ill try to figure it out. I hate when things dont work even if I dont really use them..

Wow. Noob mistake..... Live wallpaper doesnt work because none were installed with the rom so when you select it the thing just crashed...:silly: I downloaded one from the store and it works fine. lol.
Great job on the rom btw. I really like it.
There are a ton of excellent roms in the dev thread. I encourage trying all of them.
Each is unique and awesome.

You've gotta do Minimu3 Maximus. I usually get sick of a new RIM within a few hours because they're limited or dysfunctional. I would hate going back to stock after using Minimu3 Maximus. It's the same feeling I had when I switched from apple to android.

I like this rom minus a few minor issues.
For one, the text that displays the list of contacts as you dial them has a white font on a white background. However, when you select the drop down menu, you can read it just fine.
Also, the layout and formatting of the thumbnails in the gallery is off. You have to scroll to see additional pictures even though the gallery window isn't fully populated with thumbnails. Thumbnails to the far right are cut off making it impossible to know which picture it actually is.
There is also the annoying select input, notification that doesn't seem to be able to be cleared even after an input is selected.
Google search is broken and force closes everytime.

There are fixes for most of the issues coming with his 5.5 release. As far as the gallery issue goes you can open app settings application and set the gallery to either 480 dpi (large) or 290 dpi (small) and everything will fit to screen. Google search you should just be able to uninstall from phone then re Install through play store.
Mj is really quick to help/fix issues if you post over on his thread. I see you're just a couple posts away from being able to.

I used Maximus for a few weeks and loved it, but switched to CM now that it is finally out, and could not be happier thus far.
