The brand is difference, Also there is so many support for international devices whereas we dont have enough and even if some rom gets ported it will be single sim ( Galxy grand for example) for which most of evry user cry for.

I am currently using cmahendra's KitKat based ROM (available in Dev Forum). I have tried almost all ROMs. And trust me, when it comes to battery this is the best ROM. I remain connected to 3G Data services 24 hours a day with average use. I have to charge once every day for around 2 hours. MIUI rom is also good if you have average usage but drains a bit faster on 3G data. Works just the same on Wifi usage..

how is the touch and battery?
Battery depends on Rom and Kernel you use.
Screen reaction is good, but a little dark for my taste (day-/sunlight)
Had Huawai X5pro before and liked its screen much more.
No don't go with galaxy s+ it has no led flash... If you don't care about the cam, go for galaxy s+ it's got 1.4GHz.

[Info] [Sola] Xperia S ICS ported to Sola

A big hello to all fellow Sola users and all our great developers! Yeah, that's right, a great guy, Gabriel Stevan, has already ported Xperia S ICS to our Sola. I found him on Antutu where I saw his Sola running ICS and scoring around some whopping 6k @ 810MHz and around 7k @ 1.6GHz :-o I connected with him on Facebook and he told me that he had ported ICS but was unable to upload it due to poor internet speeds I'm sure many of you would love to have it but it is totally up to him. I don't know if he is here on XDA or not but it was a wonderful news so I couldn't resist sharing it with you all.
However, with the official update nearby, getting a ported firmware hardly makes sense but I sincerely do think that we must applaud his great work.
If he is on XDA, I'd like him to reply too.
Thanks
For sola? Hmmmm

btw wouldn't you need a ics kernel for sola for a ics rom to work ?

I think you're right :good::laugh:
Sharing my thoughts on this alleged port, which would be great if true.
Well, I don't know the size of sola roms, but if the ROM is 200MB, and let's say he has a 64 kb ISDN connection or whatever, the upload would take about 7 hours. That ROM would finish uploading while he is at work/school one day. So if he managed to download all the framework, source and tools to make this happen (which would take about 15-24 hours I guess, in this case), he would also be proud and eager enough to share his work by uploading it.
I tink we're talking proof or gtfo here.
It would be possible to almost clean port an Xperia P build to the U, because hardware wise theh are mostly the same, apart from the RAM in the P.

[XPERIA P] Custom Roms

as the ics update for our fone is out will we be having costum roms for our fone ....... also i would also like to do a bug report about theupdate .... the notification sound doesnt work ........ plzz give me a fix asap ......
Ehm. The update for our lovely Xperia P is not a custom one made by XDA-Developers but by Sony. And if I know Sony right they don't care about XDA-Developers.com So I don't think that they see your bug repport. And second. Our developers has a life like you and me. Some maybe has kids so they aren't sitting all day long on the computer What about YOU fixed the issue instead and released it

I have the same thinking about a lack of developers in Xperia P Forum since its very good terminal and we dont have a thing in rom options.
Hope it wont be of course, because of not sucess model.
I had a Galaxy Ace (lower spec phone), and since come up years ago it has a rom every day. Really desire xperia devs could give a try on this terminal!
Cheers!

I'd prefer a fully working CM and AOKP. And MIUI over a zillion similar custom roms. Samsung phones get a lot of custom roms because their stock FW is pathetic

I Think there is Some Few Dev. at Xperia P.
I have been checking the Xperia sola as a new phone. Sadly there is NO development for this device. Some pre rooted roms are nothing. I would love cm on this device. After that I could port miui myself, as I have done for the wfs. And still gingerbread, wtf?
Such a great phone and then this scene, bummer.

Seance Xperia P has ICS and is rooted without unlocking bootloader, not need for custom rom! Phone is fast enought with stock rom! If you need customization, use launchers!
hey work jelly bean for xperia p?

Depends on what part you want to theme. Status bar icons would be relatively easy but if talking about sense widgets that's hard to do because sense launcher ie Rosie uses something called m10 files which are very difficult to work with and on sense 4.0 there is only one team that I'm aware of that has accomplished it. But a number of other launchers have sense themes just search sense in the play store.
And just for the record to the others talking about sense. 4.1 is nothing like the older versions far lighter and less intrusive. I've been on miui v4 cm9 cm10 and I keep going back to sense based roms.

I don't mind the looks, as long as it's blazing fast, extremely smooth n compatible with all hardwares on Xperia S, that's fine.
Sense ports are very hard. I've done 2 before and both were given up. If you want Sense looks for tutorials for the UI from my YouTube or if you want speed, look for a fast ROM and make the transition and windows animations on fast/0.5x

I've a fd using HTC Sensation XE n he he installed more apps n widgets than me, but his phone still extremely smooth n fast, both my Xperia S n his Sensation XE r running on stock ICS 4.0.4 n both phone using the exact same chipset, CPU n GPU, his phone only got 768MB RAM rather than 1024MB on mine, his phone used to hv 160MB RAM free n my phone used to hv 200MB RAM free.
So theoretically my phone should be faster n smoother.
