Hello, I see many ways to root jellybean 4.1.2 but not any that is specific to the droid bionic. Does anyone have directions or can confirm the universal method will work with my phone? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I apologize if this has been asked b4 but I am looking for the least likely to mess up root method for my wifes droid razr. I am very new to rooting and successfully rooted my droid 4 with the droid4 utility. Please point me in the direction for something similar for the razr

Worked Like a Charm
Dec 13, 2013 - Worked like a charm on my XT912 AFTER I downloaded latest drivers from motorola and updated them on my PC. (wasn't working at first).
Try googling Matts Utility for Droid razr Jellybean. I would post the link but I'm not allowed to yet. It's a one click, easy method of rooting and restoring your phone if it breaks.
I also used Matt's utility. It was very user friendly.
Hey this is my first post to this forum but won't be the last Hana. Anyways I'm looking for a way to root my bionic running 4.1.2
I know that there is a way with some OVA file but the links for that file are bad. Anyway to root without that file or if someone has it could you please pass it on to me ?
Thanks in advance!
There's a couple different easier ways than the method you were looking at. One is Safe Root. Originally for Samsung devices, but has been reported to work with the Bionic on 4.1.2. Confirmed from a couple of members here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2241104&page=17
You can find Safe Root here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758
Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eunw58NwFrQ&feature=youtu.be
Another option is VRoot:
http://www.mgyun.com/en/getvroot
Basic Guide:
Make sure USB Debugging is on and you have some battery life.
Plug in the phone.
Hit root.
