Hello everyone,
As the title says it all. My buddy just got a116i and he wants to root and install custom ROMs on his device. My question, is it possible to root a116i and install custom ROMs for a116 on his phone?
If yes, I will follow the same procedure I did to root and install ROMs on my a116.

Yes you can. Just mind two things
1. As A116i has compass and none of custom rom for A116 has compass, it will not work.
2. Use boot.img of A116i otherwise camera might not work.

Hi Rajneesh, Can I ask you one more question. One of my buddy has a110 (canvas 2). It came with stock 4.0. we updated it to 4.1. Now lots of 4.2 ROMs are available. But, when the 4.2 ROM is installed, camera does not show up. Rest everything works. Any suggestions.

Dear All,
Please could somebody help me in explaining how to replace the boot.img. Today I flashed Samflare V4 and now facing camera problem. I read XDA and lot of people have explained to replace boot.img but I don't know how to replace it. Could somebody give me few instructions on how to replace boot.img. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Its simple. Extract the samflare zip somewhere , you will find boot.img. delete it. Paste new boot.img file. Repack ( zip ) the file and flash with new zip. You are done.

I replaced the boot.img file and after that Camera is working fine but storage is not getting detected on my Micromax A116i. Is there any thing else which Iam missing.

Facing exactly the same problem. Looks like boot.img is causing Storage detection problem.

I have installed miui6 (custom rom built for a116) on my micromax a116i. I have also installed android kitchen but I dont know how to take boot.img and work on your steps. can you help it out?

I Have forgot to backup my ROM before flashing custom ROM for Micromax A110, now the problem is the custom ROm has been successful installed but the touch screen not working only.. Kindly help me to Build custom Kernel for Ninetology i9500. really appreciate for those whom may concern.. hehehe

Currently im using custom lewa ROM for Micromax A110 n i can see kernel is make from ericyan n its working fine but only gps not working properly..

Ok guys... After try n try n try all method to get Micromax A110 custom rom on Ninetology i9500 Stealth 2 now its working fine with replacing official mmx A110 boot.img in all custom rom..

yerp, i have installed every custom rom from micromax A110 and official rom ICS/JB it is working fine, but acceleration censor not working in custom JB. i've tried figure it out but still cant find how to solve it, for this time being i use manual rotate from play store apps. but others work fine as claim by dev.

Data Connection Problem
I'm not sure you all have the same problem... i can't connect to my data plan.. i tried replacing the modem.img with the Black Pearl 2 modem.img but it still doesn't work... any solution for this?

Experts please help me. My GPS doesn't lock even after 10minutes. I tried searching for GPS.conf file but there's no such file in mmx a89. Is there any file or solution to fix this error?? I'm hoping to get help soon..

better i would suggest you to flash the updated stock rom v3 for micromax a89 which is atleast little better than the version 1

You will get slight improvement in camera, not too much but better than the stock camera app..

Flash this one..
flashing this will fix your camera..
and revert back to stock app..
this mod was only for Deodexed rom..
if possible work on odex (stock rom)

install ur all mod, download 'odex me', it would odex ur /system/app folder. now copy ur all modded app frm /system/app to sdcard along with their odex files, and share the apps, it will be ur odex mods.

Default camera app needed
Can someone please upload the default camera app of Micromax a116?
I think I deleted it accidentally while removing unnecessary system apps... :crying:
Preferably in .apk format as I havent installed CWM recovery and would prefer not to.. unless absolutely needed
P.s. - Im using stock rom with NO modifications except root.
I deleted the video player app and gallery app, maybe that was bundled with the camera app :-/

I think we need dev help to solve camera bug i also try from last 10 day with differnt combination but not working
And catlog also doent help much
