Unlock Sim to use mobile for other carries than Verizon? - Verizon HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

Hi,
I'm desperately trying to get my sim card working on a verizon HTC Droid Incredible beats version 4G LTE.
It just says "Please enter your 4-8 digit SIM PIN" and when I put in the pin of the other sim (carrier2) it says "SIM card is locked Your last attempt to enter a PIN has locked the SIM card...." and then it asks me to enter the PUK but if I put this in it again gives me a message to put in the right PUK.
I've read in another thread that a RUU would help out, but I don't know if I should do it if I haven't even rooted the device?
+there is no SD card on the device?
Thank you for you help,
:good:

The Fireball (Droid Incredible LTE) is SIM unlocked. I am using it with an Airvoice Wireless SIM card. It did not ask for any pin. I therefore think that it is the SIM card that is locked. You can set up a SIM card lock and the PIN is stored on the SIM card. This is what must have happened to your SIM card.

[Q] No Sim card Message after unlocking

I have bought a new Xperia Ray ST18a from Telus (Canada). I have successfully unlocked it using a code, called my voice mail without a problem. Then I downloaded Sony's PC companion to verify if the phone's software was up to date. When the update was finish, I tried to make another call and noticed the "Emergency Calls only. No Sim Card" message.
I used the Sim card in my old phone and it worked. I used another Sim card in my Ray, the 'No Sim card Message' was still there.
I sent the phone to Sony for repair and came back with again the same problem.
Anybody have a clue what is wrong with the phone?
The SIM lock Menu it shows:
[x Network 10
]
[] Network subset 0
[] Service provider 0
[] Corporate 0
[] SIM 0
Phone software version: 1248-9545_4.0.1.A.0.283 Generic -user

ETS software Version: 1247-1301_7
Rooting Status: Bootloader Unlock Allowed: No
It's locked again
They have network locked your phone again. As for the SIM problem, maybe the phone/SIM contacts aren't clean enough. I don't think it's related to the network lock/unlock.

Thanks for the reply.
I have checked the contacts and even applied pressure on them when the phone was restarting. Same results.
How can you tell it's network locked again?
With which code did you unlock?
Does any other SIM card work?
According to the Network value, seems like the SIM-lock is still there...Is the phone branded?

Yes it's a branded phone.
I tried another SIM card from another cell phone and I'm still having the same message.
I bought an unlock code from a unlocking service from the internet.
Learned something yesterday!
Not all cell phones can prevent the insertion of the SIM card the wrong way!
On the Ray you can insert the card the wrong way and you will be able to install the battery and cover perfectly. I have re-inserted the SIM card in the right position and the "No SIM card" message disappeared and was able to unlock it with the same previous code. All is now fine.
I don't mind looking like a foul and hope this thread will help somebody else.
Thank you for trying to help.

You inserted the SIM card in the wrong position? How is that even possible?

xt910 locked up

Hi all,
I have a strange problem with my phone. Hope someone will be able to help me.
I was not sure if my phone is unlocked when I came on holiday. Bought and put a different provider sim card and there was no signal. Also showed nothing to type unlocking code, so I thought that maybe something with a new sim card is wrong.
I bought a second card from another provider to be sure. On the screen appeared: enter sim network unlock code or something like that. ok so I have to unlock.
Now the strangest thing. when I put back my old sim card (o2), on the screen appeared again: enter sim network unlock code!
Since then I can not use the phone because it still asks for the unlock code.
I tried to change the soft but still do not have signal and no longer asks for the unlock code. anyone know how to force a window to enter the code?
I tried unlocking code from a cellunlocker but not working and and when i switched on my mobile is showing invalid SIM card.
someone has any ideas of what i can do with it?
sry for my english

Yep, replace for a new SIM card.
That doesn't fix a locked slot. If the slot is locked and not the sim itself I haven't a clue how to fix it. I'm dealing with the same problem. I can use the same sim in one slot and it will work and in the other slot it says the slot is permanently locked. IT IS NOT THE SIM THAT IS LOCKED.
