Hello everyone, I've been messing with this phone for a long time now, and hopefully my findings will help some poor soul unlock the bootloader.
I'm not going to go into the whole setting up and using the offline flash (R&D Tool). There are several threads on the subject. I will provided some links later (or I may make some instructions later later).
Okay I've noticed that the system has not been getting overwrite properly with the offline flash.
My bootloader is unlocked and I recently performed an offline flash of Euro 20B. While I'm on that kdz I have permission to reboot into the bootloader whenever I want.
Well to my surprise, I couldn't enter the bootloader anymore. I tried a hard rest and several other minor things and nothing seemed to work.
So I solved the problem by replacing the system image using the Linux DD command.
This script will
1. flash the unaltered 20B u-boot, boot, recovery & system images
2. install/fix busybox thanks to @Phil3759 Busybox Uninstaller v1.0
3. install bootstrap recovery (cwm), thanks to @artas182x L9 Recovery Installer
4. root with Cydia Impactor
5. issue the unlock command
6. will fix the damage caused by flashing the euro kdz (thanks to @Lelus).

Note: this tool was made for *769 models, but any L9 model can use the main program, just don't use the cwm flashable zips.
Warning I am not responsible for any damage that may arise by using this script, use at your own risk!
I have took several precautions, but anything can go wrong with computers.
Things you will need:
Micro SD with at least 1.3G of free space OR an empty data partition (Internal SD).
CWM Backup for your device
Disable/Remove any Internal/External swap
Brain
Note: Please do not place any img files inside the 1KUMA folder or the system flash will fail
Here are the steps and good luck.
1. Perform the offline flash of Euro 20B kdz.
For *769 models
(To make things go smoother, disable pattern/pin lock screen, start off on any jellybean kdz, and enable show touches.)
2. Open Start.cmd (double click), and root with cydia impactor. (USB debugging should still be enabled)
3. Select yes to replace the system image, and wait a very long time (approximately 13 mins).
4. Reboot phone (must reboot) and root again with Cydia.
5. Skip install of system, push flashable files to External or Internal SD (only for *769 models), install busybox and recovery.
6. Reboot phone and flash radio zip (for *769 models only) if needed. Actually this step can be performed before flashing the system.
7. Play with the phone for about 45mins. Turn on data, open a browser, turn Wi-Fi on for about 10 mins. Don't rush this step.
8. Run the script to the very end (skip system flash & pushing cwm files), and select the reboot option to unlock bootloader.
Here are the steps I would try if I got my hands on a locked phone
1. Have root or root your current ROM (kdz)
2. Open Start.cmd (Enable USB Debugging and connect phone in LG software mode.
3. Flash 20B euro images
4. Reboot phone and root again with Cydia
5. Play with the phone for about 45mins. Turn on data, open a browser, turn Wi-Fi on for about 10 mins. Don't rush this step.
6. Run Start.cmd and select the last option to unlock bootloader.
Update
Please download this zip Patch2.zip
and replace the corresponding files (Start.cmd, 1flash-system.sh, 2flash-system.sh)

Here are the instructions for recovering from the V20B kdz
For P769 & LGMS769 models
1. Have your cwm backup (or my themed stock) already on your external or internal SD.
2. Run Start.cmd, push files (Fix_Touch-V20F.zip & MetroPCS-V10E-Radio.zip) to Internal or External SD.
3. Install busybox and reboot into the inverted cwm recovery.
4. Navigate (use a mirror if needed) through cwm, restore your choice of #1, and reboot into recovery again (press "vol -" at blinking lights).
Note: CWM will not be inverted
5. Install Fix_Touch-V20F.zip & MetroPCS-V10E-Radio.zip (if needed).
6. Reboot
These 6 steps will fix the inverted LG Logo & wonky touchscreen.
We owe @Lelus a HUGE thanks for creating his touchscreen fix, custom recoveries and so much more. :highfive:
We also owe a HUGE thanks to @artas182x for creating/porting the 2nd init (bootstrap) cwm recovery. :highfive:
Going to try it out now man! AWESOME WORK!
We look forward to the results I understand that the program overwrites the current rom newest version V20B?
I may finally try again this weekend! THANK YOU!!!!

Help?
Okay. So, I did this while using your ROM (10e), it just ended the script and I'm in the OS and such now. But, my boot logo was NOT inverted and my touches are fine. Did you have these set to fix themselves automatically? Or did something go wrong? D:
I'm leaving WiFi on for now, and Data as well. I leave in 30 minutes to go (tutoring, lol sigh) and when I get back I'm going to try and seal the deal, if, IF it actually worked. If this works I swear, I will cry tears of sweet, sweet joy.<3

Yeah, the fixes are included but you must confirm the installation. Just tried with no success. But I was on V20H, I'll flash V20B and start all over.
Anyways, thanks a lot for your work Kuma!

No luck, it seems like nothing is getting flashed, when asked to reboot phone, its still on, I hold the power button and click reboot, the script says to remove the battery if necesary, so I guess it should be in fastboot or something like that. I'll keep on trying. :banghead:
Good luck to you all.

Yes, everytime.
1. Reflashed V20B.
2. Plugged in with debugging activated.
3. Run your script, rooted, pushed the files to external sd, then it says some file is missing and I have to run that step again (everytime the same file, I even tried a different computer) but I checked and it was there, but the phone doesn't reboot or anything. Then I wait 45 minutes and the phone reboots to recovery.
Obs: my phone is P768, I even flashed V10A and then V20B to see if it works, but I guess my phone really is made by the devil, as Lady Vengeance says haha.

As per the instructions, it should be the same v20b euro open rom that you would usually use to attempt the unlock.
I know people were having trouble downloading it before, so I'm uploading a copy right now. Will edit my post with the link. Does anyone know if there is any rule against posting a link to a file stored on my own server/domain?
(went with a filesharing site, since I wasn't sure about the rules on that other thing)

PLEASE help me get this fixed
Well... may seem a bit obvious have you tried flashing a different rom from recovery yet? If you get really desperate I can supply you with the kdz file for titanium optimus 509.
Or u cud start a fresh wipe your sd card and store on of your fav roms on it and then flash it with recovery..Start afresh..If u can boot into recovery then no worries

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354 Try this rom. it installed just fine on my Optimus T titanium. I used clockwork recovery to do so. assuming you can get to recovery which from turned off hold volume down+home then power. If you can;t get to recovery you will probably have to use this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865479 however you would have to do it from emergency mode instead
Only two options:
1. If you can access the Recovery menu, then clear everything and flash a ROM again.
2. If you cannot, just flashed an official fimware back with kdz (use the links provided in the posts above). Then start all over again.
Simple

I think the issue your having is that adding the ext partion formats the sd card. Thus, the zip you are trying to flash is no longer there and you nandroid was deleted also. Boot back into recovery and select the usb mount option, transfer the zip you want to flash and then flash it. Simples
Ciaox simply missed the line out where is should say copy *************.zip to sd card before the bit about flashing it. I think this time following the instructions to closely caused this lol Man up

use terminal emulator and reflash your recovery with flash_image. you got a bad flash or a bad download of the recovery it sounds like.
there is a slim chance you aren't rooted correctly too, in which case it won't let you flash the recovery until you get permanent root. hopefully this isn't the case.
Pretty dumb question what's flash image n just incase how do I check. For a permanent root?

My advice is not to do ANYTHING until you are at a computer and have at least a half an hour available. This sounds like your first time flashing a ROM, take some time to look up key terms and such, your patience will reward you greatly. It is difficult to flash without a computer. Go to a friends house, a library, something and do it from there. To check if you have root, download the app root checker from the market. Then, after confirming root status, work from there and flash a new recovery by pushing it through ADB. Then, place the ROM on the sd card and flash it through your recovery, then Google Apps. If you follow everything I say, and it still doesn't work, come back to this thread or send me a PM and we will go from there. Look into guides before posting, not trying to be mean, but they are there for a reason.
i know there are many tpics similar but i cant find a straight answer or working link..
basically i flashed a rom and this rom ws working fine until it started to reboot everytime i chargd the phone then it would boot loop for like 30min and finaly go in to the rom.. ive tried to access the recovery to switch roms but it just bootloops.. onlything i can go is to bootloader.. i was looking for a stock rooted
P0g5?? file to flash in bootloader but all i can find is mr2 and its in multiupload which is not working for me.. can anyone please give me a working link or answer... and the last option i would hate to do is completely restore to stock and root allover again.. i want to restore to stock rooted/s-off.. not stock rooted/s-on.. please help anyone....
Can u download a new recovery, rename, then flash in hboot possibly?

My friend's phone tried to pull an OTA while he had CWM recovery installed, and it started boot looping. Had to download the stock recovery, name is PG05IMG.zip in the root of the SDCard, and force the phone to boot to the bootloader and install it. Once it did, the phone started up, rebooted itself, and installed the OTA fine. Sounds like yours may be trying to do something similar?
If so rooted phones need caches cleared for the ota to work.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
From my understanding, Rooted can still take OTA, but you have to have stock recovery to do it (as I witnessed earlier). You will lose root, and will have to re-flash recovery to TWRP, CWMR, or whatever your normal choice is, and then re-apply the su.zip, but otherwise easy as pie.

Hello, first of all I would like to thank everyone who has posted in this thread to try and help out. I just started having a very similar problem- I'm rooted and running stock, but apparently my phone accepted an OTA and I'm stuck in a bootloop as well.
I got into CWM recovery and downloaded the stock recovery PG05IMG.zip, but it won't install. It just aborts every time I try to install it. I'm a noob at this stuff and not very good at dealing with these sorts of things and I've been having a panic attack for the past hour, so if anyone could help me as soon as possible I would really appreciate it.
I'm really scared of making things worse than they already are. I just want a working phone.

hold volume up and power when black screen appears
choose the bottom option (wipe cache i believe)
choose reboot
phone should be good aftter this

The zip won't work in CWM because it's not designed for use with CWM. It's designed for use in Fastboot. Should be on the root of your sd card. From off, if I'm correct (like this with other HTC devices), hold volume down and power to boot into fastboot. This will allow it to flash the stock recovery.

Try getting into Fastboot with the diagonal swipe or "adb reboot bootloader" and then using the arrows and circle button to go to recovery. Recovery works for me that way.

Yeah, I had that problem if I did "adb reboot recovery" or went to recovery directly. When I go through Fastboot it's fine.
Maybe the problem is different for you.
Tapping the screen does absolutely nothing?

If all else fails I suggest following this post. Be sure to flash a custom recovery like TWRP before starting, though.
