[Q] how to update after root? - HTC One X+

This is all a bit complicating, I just rooted I have 4.1.1 running on my HTC ONE X+, Can I get Kitkat now or 4.3? and how?

If u have international model u need to run the ruu to be stock then check for updates within the phone or just flash a rom compatibil with your phone. Don't flash att roms on international model or viceversa it will not work.

If it's att all u can get is sense 5 4.2.2 and that with a custom Rom. Check in the android development section for att roms.

I'm new to android and I really dont understand the whole ROM thing, I cant find anything for 4.2 or any update for that matter, you're telling me I wont be able to get KITKAT? What are u running?

Att phones have only custom roms with 4.2.2 . Try elegancia 6.2.0 if it's att or other if it's international variant. If u have att sorry but kitkat is not available yet.

Load HTC One (non-carrier) Stock on AT&T?

Hi -
I unlocked my bootloader last night and would like to flash the HTC stock rom to make it look like the non-carrier version. In other words, the same ROM if you were to buy the phone directly from HTC.
How can I go about doing that? I know how to root so that is not an issue.
Thanks.
Flash a stock rooted rom from tue international section

Im on the same boat, I have the Rogers HTC One, can I just simply grab the stock rom from the international HTC One version and flash it without problems?
I installed international rooted odex from ARHD thread on my AT&T phone without any issues. I'm back on stock rooted AT&T for now which I modified a little myself. I personally don't like how LTE on international tells you that you have 1 bar.
I'm sure AT&T modified their rom to show more than 1 just like other phones on AT&T. Everything works and you don't see any difference in reception or data speed though.

Im sorry why not install a RUU? I was actually thinking to install one of the stock versions of the rom ( I believe they are called RUU?)
It won't work without s-OFF

I believe CID is different on different phones and you won't be able to update that way. Only way is to use a stock rooted rom and flash through recovery.

AT&T HTC One Firmware update

Yes I know there have been threads on this but all deal with custom roms.
I have the stock rom, rooted and unlocked bootloader, with TWRP recovery. What do I need to do to get the OTA update, OR is the update available anywhere that I can just flash it through TWRP.
I am assuming I will need to flash the stock recovery back (Which I don't have), and possibly lock the bootloader. Does locking it clear the phone like unlocking it does?
Is the AT&T OTA update 4.2.2 or just some tweaks? Anyone know the benefits?

You need to be completely bone stock to get any sort of OTA updates. And the update you're talking about depends on what you're running now.

Ok so basically change to stock recovery, unroot, lock the bootloader. Will the lock clear my phone like unlocking it?
Currently I have 4.1.2

Thanks for the help guys.

What is the lastest FW for htc one At&t?
I am sick of waiting att to release 4.2.2. The only solution I read now is to convert att rom to developer edition, which requires s-off and supercid. However, I have no intention to keep the device bootlocker unlocked. And I heard current s-off and s-on methods no longer work with 4.2.2.
So would it work if I convert the rom to developer edition, then s-on and relock the device, and at last upgrade to 4.2.2?
I'm running 1.26.502.12
I believe this is the latest.

Why are you guys waiting to upgrade to 4.2.2 if you are unlocked and rooted? Just install a custom ROM that is built from 4.2.2 basebuild?
I've been running 4.2.2 on my at&t htc1 since day one of owning the phone.

That is a viable option if you're already rooted. I ran AT&T stock rooted 1.26.502.12 for a while myself. But I've used both Scott's Clean Rom (Based off of stock AT&T/ HTC 4.1.2) and I'm using Android Revolution HD 12.1 today (HTC 4.2.2). Once you're rooted, there's those and plenty of other variations on HTC's Sense 5 interface with either 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 out there so there's not really allot of reasons to stay bone stock. Any updates (or the useful parts of them, at least) will be picked out and used by the Devs we have working on the One so I wouldn't bother waiting on OTAs. Just keep a nandroid of your stock setup in case you need to revert back for warranty purposes.
Good luck with att. They genuinely suck. I flashed to viperrom and supercid and flashed firmware my self. Not going to wait till Christmas for a damn update from them while they figure out how to update their terrible apps like att drive.

Boot into HBoot and pull the phone details, IF is say its ENRC2B only in that case its an International version else you have a TELUS/At&t version of the phone. If so then you don't have an update in India ..

You have a At&T Vesion of the Phone , these phones still dont have any updates , and I dont think you will get one very soon at least being in India, so you need to flash a custom rom to have an update , more over there are not much else to left to do.
Keep in mind that
YOU SHOULD NEVER FLASH ANY THING THAT IT MEANT FOR THE INTERNATIONAL (enrc2b) VERSION , THAT WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE'
