Please.. Need help.. I have 2 phone, one is Xperia Active (ST17) with stock GB 2.3.4 kernel and rom, and the other is Xperia Mini Pro (SK17i) with EXtended stock kernel and ExMIUIv4 2.8.10 ROM from expeacer. My active is recognized as adb driver by windows xp everytime I plugged it in (USB Debug enabled), but everytime I plugged in my mini pro, windows doesn't recognized it as ADB driver (yes, USB Debug enabled), it only recognized as removable media. Looking into device manager, i found sk17i under other devices (screenshot attached). Thanks in advance...

But when it is recognized in fastboot mode it should normally work in adb, too. But for what do you need adb?
Maybe download adb drivers in this thread...

Thanks. I've tried the driver, but without success
I have also tried these:
- sdk/extras/google/usb_driver directory
- I tried installing PdaNetA302.exe
- I tried installing flashtool_drivers from doomlord
- I selected 'install from specific location' -> choose a driver -> 'Android Phone' but it had none listed and the aforementioned driver directories did not work either when I selected them as 'Have Disk' options.
- Following this guide
- I also tried uninstalling all related devices and do the whole connecting thing again, but without success.
Actually what i need is DDMS command inside android sdk for taking screenshots of my phone during recovery mode. But since DDMS use adb interface, then it wouldnt be possible to use DDMS if my phone doesn't recognized by adb isnt it?
Help please?

Is the phone running /sbin/adbd? Check with "ps".
Is the prop ("getprop") service.adb.tcp.port set to something?

Thanks for your advice, but apparently i dont need to do that.
I've just reinstall my windows xp sp3 and reconnect my phone. When driver for my phone was asked, i'm using flashtool driver from doomlord which i've extracted earlier using universal extractor.
But thanks again for all your attention... :good::good:
What is the cause of that? From my knowledge they use the same driver? ADB cannot detect device but fastboot can... This occurs in both windows 7 and xp.
Any help ?

Firstly check if driver is installed in device manager, then try to add its vendor id in %UserProfile%\.android\adb_usb.ini

Thanks for help, but I take what I said back, neither adb nor fastboot recognizes devices. It only works because I use device code...Using "fastboot devices" gives me nothing...
Also, where is .android folder in windows xp? I changed it in windows 7 (doesn't work), and now i want to try in xp?
Thanks again.

what hes trying to tell you is that you need to make sure you have the proper drivers for your phone installed in windows. what type of phone is it?
The titel says it all , and I need some help. I can still go in recovery but adb won't recongize my HTC, but I can still find it in fastboot. I formatted the sdcard, so I have nothing on there. Help would be much appreciated.

Oh, trust me that's not your phone being bricked. You guys seriously need to know the correct vocabulary.
Bricking the phone: The phone's only use is to use it as a literal brick. It does not turn on, does not recover, does not charge, does not do anything and it can never be restored.
HOX+ can NOT be bricked unless you are S-Off'ed. Now that we got that out of the way,
you seem to understand that ADB is the solution here, that you need to sideload a rom, the question that you have is the adb does not recognize your phone, so follow these steps:
-Connect the phone using a different usb port, (basically thats the easiest thing), if its 2.0 then try 3.0 and vice versa.
-Restart your computer
-Restart your phone
-If you are on windows Vista and later, open start menu search for "cmd" then right click and run it as administrator, then you need to cd to your adb directory.
Code:
cd C:\Android\sdk\platform-tools
for example. then try adb devices.
Anyway hope you get it to work and have fun

The only thing I can do is use fastboot , thx for noticing that I know I need adb sideload If I look in devices on my PC I can see 'ONE' with a yellow triangle next to it ( so this means drivers) I downloaded my HTC drivers and I right clicked on the device and then update from PC , I go to the folder where I installed it and click on search and it says it can't find a driver for this device.
I also tried 4 different USB ports both 2.0 or 3.0 , no result. I also tried to install TWRP instead of cmw but on TWRP my touchscreen doesn't work while on cmw it does. So i went back and flashed my recovery to cmw again ( I tried version 2.6 - 2.7.0.1 , no result )
So my problem right now can be solved once my device can be recognized by my PC. (Have HTC maneger installed , also downloaded drivers formy phone , got fastboot and adb on my PC )
For anyone who knows thanks

Hmmm. I would say in the device manager right click on the one and uninstall. Then in fastboot mode unplug and replug the device, let it install fastboot again and then try if adb can read it now.

This has happened to my phone twice... fixed it the first time by using USB deview to remove all Android/HTC drivers, then reinstalled them with the HTC Sync installer. Couldn't get that to fix it last time though, so I tried another computer and it worked just fine. So my advice would be to find another computer and try it.

Guys, I have a xperia mini st15i device with CrDroid 4.4.4 KitKat Rom. Recently I tried to flash RR Lollipop roms Kernel on my device. But I failed to boot on fastboot mode over and over again. I have tried different cables, different usb even different pc's. But all the time i tried to connect it to usb cable holding volume up button the blue light( which is counted as a signal of fastboot mood) blinks once and phone went into charging mood. If i connect it on flashtool, flashtool recognise my device. If i try to boot device into fastboot via adb through flashtool it just lost connection with phone and phone goes into regular boot.
Guys please help me with this.what can i do now? what i am doing wrong? I am totally stucked with this since last few days.

I have uninstalled flashtool, removed the folder from drive, rebooted pc and then again installed flashtool and drivers as well. but its still the same. actually i am little confused about removing all drivers you said. are those drivers contained in any other places in pc beside flashtool folder?
Use this tool to remove all USB drivers

It will remove all USB drivers .

Great. I got the tools. Installed it as well. But the problem is the tool is not in English interface, its in may be Chinese or Japanese, in what i am totally illiterate about.
Can you help me a bit on this please?
I've been attempting to recover my samsung galaxy A8 from a brick, by flashing the original firmware for 3 days. I successfully got TWRP flashed, and couldn't connect to the phone using MTP, so I ended up using an SD card to transfer the firmware zip. Long story short, I tried to treble it, and it completely bricked, leaving me without TWRP, or anything to boot.
I've put it in download mode, swapped through 10 different USB C cables, and still can't get my PC to recognize it. I've tried two computers, one running arch linux, and the other one through windows 10 and arch linux. Nothing. Whenever I run "lsusb" I can't see the phone. I also can't see it in device manager.
