I have the bug with the new market where by if I press the update button to update the app, it gets stuck on this white screen with the loading circle and it just stays there. This occasionally happens to new apps I want to install as well.
I know solutions include clearing market app data, deleting the Android folder from sdcard, and wiping dalvik cache, but none of them work permanently.
Any ideas?

really no one? I've googled for this but couldn't fund an answer

BUMP up again for one last time
Yes, I think many of us have this problem since the new market 3.x.x.
Slow solution is just retry again another time or another day, it will be no problem.
Quick solution is just uninstall the app and then install again via market.
same problem here too, earlier I thought that since I'm in China there might be a few apps that won't have update support here. But it actually started since the new market update.
In fact, in market, it's just showing 4-5 apps that need to be updated for me, but if I see in Appbrain, it shows 47 apps, but can't get an update from either way.
I found that most of the time going into settings->applications->market->then removing user data seemed to clear the history and I could update that program in market again.
Yup ive done all of the suggestions above! In fact ive done it so many times and no matter what it still goes back to being bugged. Uninstalling updates does help bring back the old market for the time being, but it auto updates back to the new one in no time.
I wonder if the new ICS market solves any of this.
clear the data (cache) for market and appbrain
Your not alone,I get this too not sure if it will be fixed anytime soon. I had it where I updated an app twice in one day! Stupid market!

How do I fix my market so I can download again?

From what I gathered while researching this error when I had it, it goes away on it's own.
I tried clearing cache and data as well as rebooting, I couldn't download then about 10-20mins later I tried and it was working.

Its been going on for 2 days so far.
mines has been doing that also... Weird
Mine did it tonight when I had a lot of updates. I cleared it's data and it cleared up.
Via Rezound using XDA Premium
Even though this is a Rezound forum, I have this happening on my Galaxy Nexus CDMA as well as my HP Touchpad running CM9
Both give me the 921 error, so it's not my phone since the TP is doing it. Probably a Google problem. Most of the time these things cure themselves.
Found this tread when I was searching for a answer.
I have the same problem (error 921) and I have a arc S.
It can't be the phone.
I've had issues with the market this morning as well. Had to try & dl the same app 3-5 times in a row before it finally worked. Not saying that I haven't been able to dl, it just is more hectic to do so right now.
HD2 user here and having the same issues on typhoon cm7.2
this is a market error not based off our phones or roms. but what seems to work for me is to clear "google play store" data and clear "Google services framework" data. reboot. then go back into market and wait. a min then try to download again.
Just tried it with 3 different accounts, 3 different phones, and tried them all with the web interface.. all not working. Lame..
I fixed my issue by reflashing my rom and being careful what I restored with Titanium Backup. I think there was app or some setting that was off for me. I did the whole clearing data thing and it never worked for me.

What's really weird is saying "mines" instead of mine.
My account started having similar problems last night, and are continuing. Problems with the website and mobile apps.
I filed a support ticket, got a canned response that they received it and would reply "shortly."
Update: Just got off the phone with Google support. They couldn't resolve it, so the issue got escalated and I was told to expect a response in 1 to 4 days.
Update 2: 2 hours after getting off the phone with Google support I received an email stating that they had fixed it. After deleting the play store data and rebooting my phone everything is back to normal.
Gotta give Google credit for the quick response.
hellz yes!! worked like a charm!!
Thanks so much bro (synisterwolf) Almost wanted to toss my phone out the windows lol. preciate the advice. Worked like a charm. Will spread the word that you gave the solution

I know its considered spamming but what the hell.. thanks bro it worked !!
from what i gather on my google searches on the inter-tubes, it says that this error has to do with overload from the google servers. If you are trying to download the same apk several times from them, and they think you are spamming them, they will block your ip, account, or phone for a short while. Im not sure the method, but the only thing you can do is wait it out or get a hold of google directly as some users above have done.
i wish there was a simpler/more immediate solution for this as much as the rest of us.
I have the same issue after doing a factory reset from the Privacy menu.
I did a reset because my google contacts sync quit working in feb, and it never came back.
I put in my google info after reset and sync is working, but I can not get to google play/market (get 921 error), and I get google talk authentication failed messages. I have never used gtalk, but it looks like you have to authenticate to use the market.
i never have the option to clear cache or clear data.
Fixed on mine by clearing data on Google service framework app and google play app
Instructions: use Nt hidden settings to go to Application settings, then manage applications, then select all, and clear data for the above two mentioned apps, reboot and on startup try again.
This was for a NT8gb rooted with the SDRoot method.
So I just flashed viperROM and rooted via the RegawMOD. Whenever I try to download a app from the Google Play store, it just refuses to download. It'll display the "Downloading" dialog and the icon will pop up in the notification bar, but it won't actually download. I've already tried clearing the Play Store's cache and the Download manager's cache. It didn't help. I am connected to the internet. When I tried downloaded the SwiftKey 3 beta off of their website, it worked. Anyone know how to solve this problem?
i rooted with regawMOD too and i locked my bootloader back and unrooted and i am having the same problem.i even ran ruu and still having the same troubles.
Did you try clearing the data in the google app store in addition to the cache? You will have to sign back in I think but that would be the next step. Otherwise I suppose just wait awhile and try again later after a reboot or something.
I had a similar problem and what I had to do was create a new google account then log into the play store with that account and delete my old google account. Once that's set check if you can download an app with your new google account. If you can then you should be able to log in with your old account and solve the problem.

I did try clearing everything. It still wouldn't work.
I noticed this the day I bought the phone.
It's really annoying when I've got app updates. If I click on the batch update button to update multiple apps, it won't complete unless I stay on the update page and keep the phone from going to sleep. Otherwise, the first app will update and the rest will stall on "downloading". This happen pre and post root.
Very annoying.

Not sure what is going on...mine isn't working either. My girlfriend is on straight talk, the t mobile part, i am on straight talk also, the att part. Neither are working on wifi or cell data. Stuck at downloading.
Its working again, i didnt do anything except try later

I am having this for 2 weeks, 2 phone have the same issue. Try to flash different ROM but fail
It must be google, what the heck they are doing!
Really irritating.... I, too, have this issue occasionally, usually on a large download ... like Sky Safari Pro (570 mbytes). Two months of this and my Note freezes during the episode. Only solution I have found is to turn off WiFi, power down, remove SIM and restart. Only then can I kill the download in Google Play. I have seen this on 3 different stock ROM's and 3 different Customs. GB and ICS. Currently on ICS XEU.
Usually waiting an hour or two and then it's okay.... batch updates are a real killer with this and I also see the first download okay then the rest hang and have to be shut down manually.
Google????????

Yesterday my phone starting giving me a google play services has stopped pop up. Seems to happen when I change from WiFi to cell network or vice versa. Its not a one time pop up either....it happens 5 to 6 times in a row. Occasionally need a reboot to make it stop....and after the reboot it still comes up once or twice

Mine started that yesterday too, but only when i restart the phone. A symbol also popped up on the notification bar that looked like a sim card with a question mark in it. Had to do a battery pull to make that go away.
im on sprint, and mine did the same thing yesterday evening. i get 2-3 pop ups immediately after reboot and then another 2-3 within 2 minutes of the reboot.
Yup me too. Says location services has stopped a few times then Google play services has stopped a few times. Happened randomly yesterday and the syncing icon was stuck in the status bar. The error messages pop up a few times after reboot as well but then don't see them again. Just a minute ago had the phone start locking up real bad and was lagging like crazy. Rebooted and it started up and after about 20 seconds it rebooted again on it's own. Back to normal for now *knock on wood* but that's the first "problem" I've had with this phone. Think Google pushed an update that our G3's do not like.
I was thinking the same thing.... Google play services must have had an update pushed out and it's not playing nice for us. I didn't read anything about a play update though.

I've had the SIM with question mark since day 1. Think it's because not on Verizon. My Google play store stopped working until I restored. This happened about a week ago though.

Add me to the list. Both Google Play Services and Google Location Services are going screwy ever since about 10am PST.
It's starting to become unusable. I'm ready to go back to my Loki'd S4 and give this thing a factory reset. It's popped up 3 times just typing this message..... 4 now

I had location consent module for x posed and Google play store fixes module. I deleted both and so far no more pop ups.

Same here. Deleted the location consent module from xposed and all was good.
*If I have helped you please hit the thanks ?*
Apparently there was an update to Google Play Services from what I've been reading on Nexus forums and it hasn't played nice with certain apps...

That worked for me. I deleted that location concent module and haven't had a notification since.
Ever since the play services update on the 23rd, and including with all of the more recent updates, I continuously get play services has stopped errors and can not use google location services at all. These issues continue even after several factory wipes. After each wipe, the issue returns as soon as play services is updated and if for any reason the phone restarts, it gets stuck in a bootloop. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Any tips that might help?

Have you used the LG Flash Tool to reflash the .TOT? If not I would try that. If there was some kind of system change you made the factory reset would only do so much. Such as when my build.prop got borked before it was known the build.prop for the G3 was too big to open on (most) mobile text editors a factory reset didn't help me and had to use the flash tool. Factory reset is the equivalent of wiping data and cache so if the error messages persist, and especially if your bootlooping, try the flash tool and .TOT.
I have actually been trying to use the flash tool to do just that, but can not seem to get the phone to go into download mode. Is it possible that only the cable that came with the phone will work for that? I have been trying using one that came with my old d2vzw.

I've actually had similar problems since Play Services updated, yesterday no matter what I tried to do I couldn't get the Play Store to connect. . and I tried all sorts of things trust me.
Only thing that fixed it for me was doing a factory reset, which obviously Sux but that's what did it. Hopefully you get it going!

Ok, so I think I've figured this out.
I'm on a T-Mobile note 3 running darthstalker 7,
I started getting this pop up about a week or 2 ago. Initially it would only happen upon enabling or disabling GPS.
Once I started trouble shooting it started happening much more frequently, and began to include a pop-up about location services.
I used titanium to roll back to a previous version of google play services and it seemed to stop. Then it auto updated and here come the pop ups.
I took a previous poster's advice and disabled the location confirmation module in xposed.
Then I restored an older version of google play services from titanium back up.
I let it auto update, upon update I got a notification [with the triangle exclamation point icon] about the service needing my permission.
Once I clicked the notification, yet another pop-up, but this one was different. It was Google play services asking for permission to allow apps access to my location. The interesting bit is that there was a check box for "do not ask me this again" which I checked.
Since I did this, no more force closes on Google play services or location.
Hoping someone else can confirm this works for them.
Hope this helps, hit thanks of it does.

You see when i download files above 1gb i download it before i sleep. Last night i download 2 games that is above 1.5gb and when i woke up the downloading progress is gone. Theres no notification that theres an error while downloading, its just gone. This happened twice already and i dont think its in the wifi. How do i fix this? Is this something about the phone sleeps during night time to save battery?
maybe its the miui, not the pocophone itself.

It has nothing to do with either Poco or MIUI. Blame it on Google server. I have faced this issue several times on my Nokia 7 plus, Mi A1, Nokia 8.1 and initially had the same reaction like you. Then I did a little research and found out Android has this issue forever. Not everyone faces it everytime. But this issue is very common and data consuming.
I think is something related with the ROM itself. It occurs to me serveral times randomly and after several hours or even days it continues downloading normally.
After a lot of reasearch all over the web I find a way to mitigate this effect, go to Settings, Apps and find Google Play Store and Google Play Services, first wipe cache of both, if it doesn't works try to clear data, but it could have collateral damages, as the Play Store could be innaccesible, in which case you have to reinstall the ROM over.
Hope it helps.
downgrade the playstore , (factory default) and then try updating! or use apkpure store!
i faced same issue and i started using apkpure! ( might be there is fix out there) but then I was too lazy to find

Is apkpure like playstore or is does it only download apks. Guess i'll have to use that for offline games if clearing cache and data wont work.
