Hey guys, I bought the htc one max from sprint and having a problem trying to root. For some damn reason I cannot find where to enable usb debugging, in settings I dont have development at all. I have wireless & network buttons and icons, personal stuff then phone stuff. None of them have any development or debugging buttons that I can see. Is there a way to turn this on?

Cancel this question.. found my answer through multiple sites till it showed tapping the build number till you see "You are now a developer" which enables the options I need.

I'm thinking in the possibility of use an Android tablet to develop an HMI interface to control electrical devices.
One of the problems it's that the devices could be long periods of time stored or simply off, so it will be needed to turn off the tablet via software when the device is Off.
The question if it's possible via an Android App/custom ROM/utilizing root/etc to force the Android device turn on when the charger it's connected?, an not enter with the typical battery charging screen.
Hopping that somebody can know the answer because I couldn't find something in the forums right now.
Well I am not sure but I think that you can find a custom rom that has that feature preloaded and you can develop on that platform.
Somebody known of an ROM that could have that funtionality, or somebody that develop an ROM if it could be possible to add that in android or the charging screen can't be hacked?
For the sake of completion, I have found that it's possible turn on an android device using adb, with the command:
Code:
./adb reboot
But that will imply to build the adb app in a microcontroller connected to the USB port. Certanly it will be more easy if it could be activated in a ROM but it may be impossible to do, somebody has information on that?

I have the same issue as the OP i need my tablet to come on when power is connected. (galaxy tab 2 (7) ) does anyone have any other suggestions?
I have been looking for a solution for very long. There still is no one who has guaranteed to invest time in this project. I have, however, come across a few android models which have same or similar features built in their ROM.
For example: Sony Ericsson X10 Mini does exactly what we are looking for. It turns on android OS when the charger is connected.
There are other generic android devices which perform a similar task. There is a feature in such devices namely "Schedule On/Off" which turns the phone on/off at a pre defined time of the day. A handful of devices that I have come across are Spice MI 270 and Micromax A60. There are a lot many such devices available in the market.
Do not forget to post the solution when u get one.

there was an app made by chainfire called Nomoarpowah that would boot the tablet when charging and you could touch the screen to turn on the device, i sent him a few messages over the last couple of months but no reply and it looks like he's stopped development on it.
so there is a way, i don't have the knowledge to do it myself though.
In Android 4.2 the feature is already there
Press Thanks On Getting Helped

Hi did you guys ever find a solution? If so can you please post here.......

And also, it wont off when charging. Just keep turned on automatically when I turned it off.
im trying to disable forever that annoying Power saver mode that disables mobile internet when screen off in htc phones(not only the notification).
By now, i figured out it has something to do with power.saving.mode, but i cant find a detailed explanation on the forums, and testing on it didnt have significant changes.
Can someone help me please? Google also cant find a detailed explanation on this matter, only different settings.
pd: i dont mean disabling it in settings menu, because it activates itself again.
I´ve read that in some devices, service menu gives the option to disable some sort of power saving mode, but in this model codes wont work (*#*#4636#*#* wont give that option)

Freeze the app if you are rooted ..... Or disable using a guide posted in general forum
Sent from my HTC Desire X using Tapatalk
power.saving.mode
first of all, thanks for answering.
If i do so, the whole energy option dissapears...is it possible to do so without sacrificing the whole thing?.
maybe it would be easier to customize it, i mean, set it to launch at 5% instead of 14%, but i have to look how as i dont have a clue to do so, or even if its possible.
and finally, i dont know if im saying this correctly, Eid Mubarak to you and your family!
I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, I'm not a techie and this is my first post here... I upgraded to the s4 from the dinc2 a couple months ago. I've been searching for a hack for the stock mobile hot spot, similar to the one for the dinc (where you access the hidden menu from the dialer using #778). I can't seem to find any hidden menus on the galaxy s4. I've searched the forums and tried some of the dialer codes suggested but none of them are working. At one point, I was able to get to a screen allowing me to select either enable or disable edit mode. I selected enable but I couldn't go any further, there were no options to move forward or actually edit anything and I haven't been able to get back to it ever since. But, by getting at least that far I'm led to believe its possible for this to work If I knew what I was doing (obviously, I do not. Lol)
All other suggestions I've found have been for root but I'm not interested in rooting. Again, I'm not rooted and I'm updated to 4.3. Basically what I'm searching for is a way to access that service programming menu from the dialer on the Verizon S4... Any ideas?
Anyone?

What your trying to do is possible, but is not possible without root, because in order to access the hidden menus witch are turned off by default you must edit the build.prop file that is located in the system folder of your phone witch is write protected. Now you could root your phone and then apply the edit, then after doing what you need to do just un-root the phone (if that's something your interested in doing).
Ok so first off I have a factory HTC one m7 with Verizon that's running the new kit Kat is. I haven't done anything to it because I don't know how. however I'm on my 7th soon to be 8th one from Verizon in less then 3 months.I've went rounds with Verizon & HTC & know one has a clue.
the list of symptoms are as follows:
1.hangs up & turns on airplane mode in the middle of calls.
2.Gets super hot sending a text or being on fb.
3.opens apps & closes them by itself.
4.calls other numbers then the number dialed.
5.turns on developer options.
6.changes date & time settings.
7.still does all this in safe mode.
8.& factory reset doesn't change a thing other then erase all my stuff.
9.I've changed the SIM & the phone & the Gmail @ the same time doesn't stop it.
10. & my battery not only jumps around but loses battery when it's turned off.
11.all my songs & pics just disappear all the time.along with pics showing up that I've never seen.
So if anyone has any ideas they would be insanely appreciated cuz now my tablets doing the same stuff.
I'm thinking either a gms hack or the newly discovered oma dm hack or a man in the middle hack.after 7 phones I'm doing my own research.
but plz any experts on here or with this phone plz help.& if this is in the wrong place can someone plz put it where it needs to be. thank u in advance.

Hey Bud,
Personally, I think you should try install a custom rom if you have a recovery installed? If you don't have a recovery installed, do it then install a custom rom like Cyanogenmod. See if that fixes your issue.
Hi guys, it's moomoomania here. I have a question whether or not it is possible to pair my HTC M9 with my Nexus 9 via bluetooth for smart lock purposes ONLY (just like if I was to have an android watch -which I don't- to bypass my lockscreen). I've looked a million places and I have yet found an answer to my question.
I don't wish to pair it so I can tether internet access to my tablet; I just want to pair my android tablet with my android phone so I don't have to wait for my phone to see my face or do my pattern code.
If anyone has any knowledge or have successfully done it, let me know and I'll give you a huge thumbs up with my butt. Thank you!
you just need to pair them via bluetooth then uncheck "internet access" in the little settings box you can open with the gear icon.

Yes but everytime I do that, I am not able to connect it together. When I go into the Smart Lock settings, and try to apply my Nexus 9 as a trusted device for my M9, it always says "not connected" (at the "Choose device" tab). Do you have this problem or have successfully connected your tablet with your phone without a hitch?
EDIT: If I click the little smart lock notification, it says "Add trusted device? Connect your M9 to keep your phone unlocked". There is only a cancel button.

actually I have the same problem. :') it's been a problem since I updated my phone to lollipop, it was fine before. I think it's probably an AOSP bug since nothing I've ever done has been able to fix it. I wish I had more to add, maybe someone else can chime in.
