[Q] Unbranded rom on branded S3 - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey Guys
I am currently using my mobile networks 4.1.2 branded rom , but would like to try 4.3 .However 3 have not released their 4.3 rom yet , so is it ok for me to flash the un-branded 4.3 uk rom or will this give me network issues and such ? I am rooted with stock recovery and as such was planning to use mobile odin to maintain root whilst flashing .

Choose BTU csc when you download stock rom and you won't have any issues. Backup your efs.

The rom i have downloaded is called I9300XXUGMK6_I9300OYYYMK6_BTU , so i guess i`m good to go then ?

[Q] Firmware Question - Pakistan

Hi,
I am currently in pakistan and wanted to update my device to latest firmware (Stock Only) , i am not getting good battery life on Jelly Bean so i would wait for the official release
When i go to sammobile.com , there i can find 4.0.4 firmware when i search for pakistan firmware , but when i flashed 2.3.5 from sammobile for pakistan and applied the OTA update , it updated the phone to 4.0.3 , i wonder the firmware on sammobile , is it leaked or official because i am not getting that firmware from OTA update , My phone originally came from UK (Three Network) but its unlocked but i like stock roms so i just wanted to know whats the difference in updating from OTA to 4.0.3 or just flash 4.0.4 from sammobile ?
Shall i flash stock firmware for H3G network , will that update via KIES or OTA update to Jelly Bean (When its released)
Anyone can help please?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] no custom roms working after restoring cid

when i bought the razr maxx it was running on ics from claro network. i had erased my cid to flash the vodafone jelly bean firmware and stuff.. after that i was regularly flashing custom roms like cm 10. , liquid smooth , rage rom etc using bmm. recently i figured i can flash the rodgers canada firmware which is jb and its compatible for m phone so i did it nd restored my cid.
But after that i havent been able to flash even one custom rom.. i used safestrap aswell as bmm.... no roms which i had previously worked like rage rom or aokp rom also dont work.
isnt the kernel of the rodgers firmware compatible for the other custom roms out there ? or what is the problem exactly

Installation MIUI on Galaxy S3 with Samsung stock 4.3 rom

Hello gentlemen, I have Galaxy S3 and I have there stock rom from samsung android version 4.3 (specifically i9300XXUGNA8) and I would like to try a MIUI rom. However I find guide only with downgrade on stock rom version I9300XXDLJ4 which is android 4.1.1. But I know that it used old EFS file version 1 and in my rom is EFS v2. So if I downgrade it, the telephone was not work - especially signal from operator. Does anyone have any advice or some guidance on how the stock Samsung rom to MIUI. Thanks for the advice. I've used the MIUI rom for s3, and trust me, it's really good. The only downside is that you have to downgrade to android version 4.2.2 which is CM based. The latest version is based on 4.2.2, not 4.1.1
You have to do this:
1) Root your s3 following a proper guide. There are plenty on the net. Just google it.
2) Install a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP or Philz Touch recovery.
3) Download the MIUI rom from their official website en.miui.com
4) Flash the rom using the recovery.
Done. Hope this helped
