Thanks for the bad ass sign Noahk11
MegaFire V23: brought performance and speed optimizations learned while developing PopRocks lp n4 build...also a rebuilt camera taking incredibly high res shots...enjoy the new update
MegaFire V22: while I wasn't even planning on doing another MegaFire as I honestly thought that was the end of the road...but I've been going thru some other rom builds updating them this weekend as well an found this huge leap in snappiness and immediacy that i couldn't not build into MegaFire and truly complete this build with the best possible rom imo possible...i hope you all enjoy v22
V20 Basically Took v18 and polished it, increased the touch response, animation and transition speed, and fluidity of the build as a whole...also enhancements done to the screen for sharper detail and punchier colors...sharper still photos and higher detail...improved call clarity/sound quality...and optimized the battery/run temp...if you follow the optimized setup I posted in op2 on a clean flash of V18 your mega will feel like a brand new, much more powerful kit...enjoy
V20 is the culmination of over 40 roms of jelly bean on the mega, with newer stuff pulled from Megakat and firekat note 3 roms...
V20 kept the performance and battery life of classic MegaFire roms with increased screen clarity, call quality, photo/video quality, streaming speed and video quality...i basically wanted to flush out the rest of the build to be as optimized as the performance...enjoy
New in v20 builds: mainly rendering, debugging, performance, and battery life enhancements and Optimizations...refining this rom to the absolute is the goal plain and simple...pulled every new trick I could think of
MegaFire Mj2 Deodex V20 Rom based on new Mj2 base firmware.
V20 Optimizes from roms between 4.1.1 and 4.4.4 and uses new tweaks pulled from a few latest kk builds
The Peak of Perforamnce for The Mega
Several Tweaks and Optimizations taken from Note 3 rom and Note Pro 12.2 Rom
Biggest Gain is Temp: Still running super fast but running on average 18 degrees cooler so there's a drastic decrease of screen dimming in games and the Mega hardly ever warms up on the back now
Eliminated Wake Lag: screen on from deep sleep is near instant

Improved Multi-touch Responsiveness and Accuracy for Better Gaming
New Optimized Mods Allow For Lag Free Multiwindow or Heavy Background Use
Even Further Improvements Made For Gains In Battery Life
Completely Rebuilt Dalvik and Cache Controllers
Fastest Browser On Any Device I've Ever Used
MegaFire V20 is a large step up taking everything from 4 builds of the Mj2 base, and refining and optimizing it into the best rom possible
V20 takes the speed and performance of V18 to another level, while improving on the battery Life
Improved overall smoothness
Framelocked at 60fps
Improved Keystroke response times for keyboard

100% Lag Free: no more laggy ui..even eliminated the lag upon boot up
***No more stuttering and frame dropping upon Reboot or gaming
Extensive modifications to build prop, system, and Xml files make this rom extremely fast and smooth. I took all the tweaks and customizations from the previous 10 roms as well as from tweaks pulled from my other device's roms'
There is a stock rom V20 with all added features and Samsung Apps
A second stripped build V20X comes super stripped and streamlined with only Chainfire's SuperSu Apk
(Thanks to Chainfire as always for granting us root access)
***Be Sure To Update SuperSu In Play Store
Both builds have the same optimization tweaks but V18X comes with a ton of stripped system apks and widgets, fully removed from the system
Knox fully removed from both Builds
Features of Mj2 V20 Feature Included:
***I Built Viper4Android Into The System of Both V20 Builds
1. Open Viper

Removed From V20
Since V18X is extremely stripped down i left V20 more stock for this build...
All Knox apps are removed
Elm Agent Removed
App Mobile Print Apks Removed
Story Album Removed
V20X Features
All background and system tweaks for speed, performance, and battery life just like V20
No additional apps except SuperSu and Viper4Android
Significant Amount of System and Stock Apps Removed: 86 in total
SuperSu by Chainfire only added app
Extensive Xml tweaks, edits to the source code, and various other system and background optimizations
Cuts to the system and removing a lot of useless apks and apps
Main focus of V20X is optimizing speed and battery life
V18X is completely stripped: 750 to 900 mb of ram open and 10 running system apps total
To use the Xposed Mods: open Xposed App and go to Modules
Make sure a check mark is visible beside the apps that you want activated
Reboot.
Upon Reboot go into the apps that you activated and set them up however you want them.
**** For any mod that you do not want to use or keep on your phone simply uninstall from Application Manager like any other up.
**** I Included several mods but there are a ton more mods available in xposed downloads section for you to choose from.
I always highly recommend Wanam and use it myself for a ton of things
Known Issue:
The one and only issue that I've found has been the Stock Samsung Video Player which is still included in both Builds as it works in certain regions MX is not included in V20X so if Samsung doesn't work you'll need to download a video player if necessary
*** The problem with Samsung Video is certain regions csc codes are incompatible with this application and will open but force close when attempting to play a video, so I included the much higher quality MX Player for everyone. If you have this force close issues with Stock Video use MX, if stock works you have the option of either video player but i still recommend MX as its far far superior to Samsung player
**Just make sure to download the codecs for MX and Viper

Thanks Noahk11 for the bad ass sign
How To Optimize Your Setup: my personal method to the absolute best possible performance and battery life...combined with v16 will take your mega to another level...enjoy
Ive had a bunch of pm about my setup so here ya go...for the absolute mlst optimal experience on Mega fire V15 follow this setup. ..
1. Uncheck Force Gpu Rendering in developer options...about phone, click MegaFire V15 10 times to unlock dev options
2. Use Wanam and Xposed to deactivate Dvsf under Advanced in Wanam...dramatic boost
3. Change Animation and Transition settings in developer options...set all 3 from 1.0x to 0.5x. ..another huge boost to responsiveness and speed of any launcher
4. Greenify all downloaded user apps...Dont touch system app/don't activate greenify xposed mod
5. Disable the follow apps
Samsung Push Service
Google Chrome
Google Books
Google Magazines
Google Music
Google Hangouts
Google Plus
*obviously unless you use any of the above
6. Install latest Google Play Services apk...def seems to have lower battery drain that previous few apks...thanks to pierriotis for the apk
https://mega.co.nz/#!6JpBAaYZ!xyyIchYpDHrS-1IzZjK2_OHVilzkihb-U1960ZaLhaQ
7. Disable google location history and location reporting...doesn't affect maps or g now at all only stops a ton of data mining and wake locks
8. Never use power saving mode with my roms as I rebuild the Ps controller
Enjoy the new build...literally for those who want v15 on crack and steroids...use multicore controller or setcpu to max throttle the cpu lol then you're head will be spinning

If you have issues with KK Launcher download Google home apk and simply install...don't uninstall anything...should have no issues using instructions below. But apk just in case
https://mega.co.nz/#!TdYmQKZZ!8IDRhSIPRt08XPFbxkNGdnP1i1xK8LUhx4Bv33RRHJU
And if Google camera force closes..uninstall from application manager and reinstall apk like normal.
https://mega.co.nz/#!2RpFATqI!m-t8DP6PADaeBvTAqmCpiP-Li3aFtzUY75o4xmZ1Kzw
It seems some i9200 users are having issues with pop up...again just uninstall then reinstall this is apk below...no use pop up browser: since it's modded from note 2 to work on the mega to resize you push the box next to the the x not the arrow...The arrow has no functional code and will cause a fc.

Sorry bout the delay...I wouldn't have made the op earlier had I known mega was gonna fail several times and upload super slow...it's about 35% done and shouldn't be long...I'll post the link for the rom as soon as it's done loading...it's just at 1 gb so it shouldn't be a long download...hope you enjoy it...I've been testing it right about 20 hours...still 40 percent battery after some seriously brutal heavy use to try and break my rom...haven't come across a single stutter or lag even right after flash...hope you dig it.

I based it off an mh2 stock tar build that I had...I used that since it was the last one prior to any Knox. Selinux just began on the latest update. My other mega is on stock mj2 and it has no selinux either. I was just going to start de compiling the ml1 to deodex that build like I did the mh2 and start to work on the kernel then I saw your thread.

Never had a reboot or dropped call or wifi ...if you go back to cm try a clean install if you didn't already and no data restoring ...I start fresh with each flash and make a backup once completed ..I have every ROM backed up for whenever I wanna change ... But sorry back to MegaFire ......waiting for upload to finish cheerz:beer:

Epsilon Project now enters the world of Samsung S2 Galaxy, having gone through Motorola Atrix, from the beginning being GingerMod and then moving to the new Epsilon was looking to give as always the best for each development. I hope this rom will enjoy it and together we can continue to get always the best for our teams.
I decided to do basing on Ginger as ICS for the moment has a high battery consumption and low flow. There is nothing to envy of ICS ...

It is advisable to be on base before installing GB Epsilon Project. The best way is to do a clean install from the stock rom with Pit XWLA4

And then proceed with installation method is traditional to travez of CMW. Previously always take the Wipes Data / Cache / Dalvik Cache, Format System / Data / Cache and then proceed with the installation.
In case you want to have a visual style to leave them as optional ICS installer by CWM. The credits are for Vertemus, I just edited and corrected some bugs of the same to operate properly in all EpsilonProject.
To have a lower battery consumption is advisable to follow these steps:
According to several people testing kernels that consume less battery in GB are the Phenomenal in versions 2.2 and 4.0. We recommend using the Extreme, in case your computer crashes be changing this medium or normal.
Settings> Display> Brightness: put it to a minimum
Settings> Display> Lighting duration: "1.5s"
Settings> Display> Display Power Auto adjust: off
Settings> Applications> Samsung Apps> "OFF"
Settings> Location & security> Ustilizar networks: off
Telephone keypad> * # 9900 #> "Disable fast dormancy"> exit (this comes to swallow a 20% battery usage)
If you have multiple email accounts, disable auto-sync and manually click Refresh on:
Settings> Accounts and synchronization> Auto-sync: off
If you want to continue with the automatic brightness another way to lower consumption is from the application of JKay change the values in the brightness profiles.
Another way is to also play with the different types of modems available and find the best we go according to our area. Remember that to be possible to use 2G connections have a lower consumption than autimaticas. If you need more speed to sail can move to 3G or Automatic again.
It is important to always install after the end of the Rom google open the play and update the UpdateMe because I I will be updated as we get better application and if they do not always updated will not see the improvements that arise and you will see only Rom and Setting

Try and draw your conclusions. This rom is posted earlier in HTCMania and tested by several people and official beta testers so the page is not an untested version
i'm gona give it a try in few minutes.. right now i'm on ics and if i'm not wrong simple wipe will be enough to go back to GB version??
i know its not enough

Will we be forced.into ICS with apps only being available on ICS?
Thats what I worry about.

Ginger remains at over 60% of the market will not disappear as many terminals will not be able to upgrade to ICS

I'm new here, please someone help. I can't understand what exactly i have to do. I am on ics now. Do i have to install the base rom via cwm first? What about the kernel which is next to the base rom? Must i install it too before flashing this rom? Please someone answer as i am desperate of bringing back the bounce effect and the smoothness of gb in my phone

+1 same idea, for now stick with 2.3.6

Delete me mods, please.

This was once the home of stratusrom. Unfortunately, due to a big misunderstanding which I do not wish to get into (read the last 5 pages if you are interested, although I recommend against it). I have deleted and recreated this thread in full, so head there, and let old bones stay buried. I will not respond to any kind to post here, and please don't post, as it will cause this to resurface. Bury it completely!

User participation:
Sometimes I have a possible issue or fix that I need YOU the users to try before I fix it. These commands/steps will not harm your Gplayer in any way, or decrease performance. Just post the result if I need you to, or report back on your success/failure!
Performance:
Make sure you post screenshots of your quadrant scores so I can tell that my work is going to good use!
If you have a hack/performance mod you want to see in the next version, be sure you pm me your idea/link!
Please make sure it is a well though out idea, not "improve cpu score on quadrant", as that doesn't help me.
Make sure you report any bugs you have as soon as possible, so i can fix them!
Bluetooth fix:
this is only for people who are having bluetooth issues, if you are not, ignore this!
1. Head into terminal emulator
2. Get su, and type "v6"
3. Head through the prompts until you see a mains screen with several options
4. Choose the one that says "Nitro lag nullifier"
5.Unillify
6.exit, and reboot
Howto:
convert to EXT4(STRONGLY recommended, as this gives a large performance boost. Most of my I/o tweaks performance increase is reduced drastically if you do not apply this!)
Credit goes to Klin for this guide.
1. Flash Klin's R3 or a version of Terrasilent
2. Make sure you have about 14 MB free space on /system.
3. Boot into CWM recovery and do a full nandroid backup.
4. Reboot, and from your computer go to the CWM backup directory on your sd card. Alternatively, you could use a file explorer to view and edit these files.
5. Change all the files from ".rfs.tar" to ".ext4.tar".
6. Open nandroid.md5 with a text editor and change all the ".rfs.tar" to ".ext4.tar". Save and close.
7. Eject the device from your computer FIRST. This step is crucial. Then disconnect from your player. If you edit it on the player, you can skip this step.
8. Reboot to CWM recovery and do a full restore.
9. (only for terrasilent users) head into the advanced menu of cwm, select reboot download, then reflash your terrasilent kernel. That should fix the "bricking" some people experienced.
There you go! enjoy the increase!
Fix home button woes:
I have finally, after a bit of luck and some know-how, determined a fix for the home button issue! This will work on ALL roms, not just this one, and will probably work for the 5.0 as well. This also means you can fully wipe data if you want, and simply apply my fix.
1. Navigate to /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings
2.Optionally copy to a computer (easier that way)
3.Open it up in a sqlite editor (if you are doing this on the device, copy it to /sdcard and and then copy it back
4.Navigate to the locale/first section (there should only be one string in there
5.It should look like en_US if you have a US player, or en_GB if you have a UK/intl player
6.Change the string to the language/locale you use (if you are INTL you can merely change it to xx_GB, where xx is your language. If you are US, just perform the same steps, but change the last part to US)
7. commit/save the file and copy it over the old one
8. Reboot, and your home button *should* be fixed!
NOTE: I have not personally tested this. It has a 99% change of working, but I have yet to completely verify it.
NOTE: after you replace the file, android may go a little haywire (wifi disconnects, forgets password, advanced reboot option unavailable, etc.). THIS IS OKAY. Simply reboot, and it will all be back. Do not change any settings after copying until it reboots, as it may possibly break the fix
NOTE: I cannot provide a downloadable file, as that file contains all of your system settings, and if you use mine, my settings will be applied, which could be pretty bad in some cases.
NOTE: this has no chance of bootlooping or bricking your device. At absolute worst, you have to set up a few settings/restore from a /dbdata backup. There is almost no risk involved.
Credits:
I want to thank all the devs who created mods that I use in my rom. There are too many devs to list, but I want to thank them all for such great work. I am currently working on the list of people below, so I can properly thank them. I realize they need to be recognized for their hard work, and the last thing I want to do is rip them off.

I tried it and it just fails. Flashed Klassic R5 and stock with no problems. Im pretty sure the file I downloaded is not odin flashable. Inside the zip is only "cache.ext4" and "factoryfs.ext4". Is there something I'm missing? Thanks for the response, btw.
Try redownloading, I updated the link earlier with a version that fixes that issue. I will also double check my current link to make sure it works.

Yep, no problem! I, like an idiot, thought the filename extension was what Odin would format the partition to, and I of course never checked it out (today was pretty hectic). I am downloading it now myself to double check that it is what it should be.
BTW, new version up tomorrow with a new (awesome) name, and awesome battery life improvements! (I am currently at 50% after 2.5 hrs of nonstop web browsing with the screen at 30% and wifi on, plus a 1.5ghz overclock with some insane overvolting).

Unfortunately, that time has come: the end of summer. I have had a blast helping you guys and contributing to this community, but unfortunately I have to move on. Why? Because I have all Honors and a few AP courses, and I am going to be overloaded with work this year. I will still contribute to this forum, and help out where I can, but this rom has officially reached a "stable" or semi-discontinued state. I will still support this rom in full, but updates will be very few and far-between, as I will be focusing on my other threads. This rom was a lot of fun to create, but frankly I am far beyond cutting and pasting mods, and I feel like I can focus my efforts on much better things.
If any of you wish to take my place, I have an excellent rom creation guide stickied in this forum, and I am releasing my rom to the public. You guys can take anything you wish from this rom, and even use it as a base for you own projects, as long as you give me credit, and link back to this thread.
Happy devving!

Welcome to EtherealRom, my rom, created from hours of hard work, and mroe than a few bricks, in an attempy to bring you the best of XDA's tweaks and feature's. This is a "cut and paste" rom to some extent, as I created this to showcase the best XDA has to offer, although more than a little of my own development has been thrown in as well. I hope you enjoy this rom, as I truly believe that it is the fastest currently released.
Features:
Gps fix for EXTREMELY fast locks!
fastest Rom by far for the Gplayer currently released. Show me better, and I will match!
Best governor chosen for optimal I/O performance
Advanced sysctl tweaks for great system performance, amazing battery life and super fast apps!
Customized init.d scripts (based off of TweakZV66 and universal adrenaline shot) for the optimal disk usage, memory allocation, battery life, and performance)
Best battery life of any rom currently released (increased at least 1.7X)
Highest Quadrant scores out there! (show me better for the Gplayer, and I will match)
ICS theme (working on making it even better!)
Scrolling cache tweak (fully enabled), for super smooth scrolling!
Fully supercharged for amazing multitasking
HD youtube
Includes Go launcher EX (most free ram)
Advanced improvements for budding developers (full tune2fs, zipalign, Sqlite3, and more)
Beats audio mod (works 100%, even with Poweramp!)
Disabled many unecessary services
Disabled uneeded system apps
My budding theming attempts
Helpful support, courtesy of Hanthesolo.

V2.1-

NOTE: if you held off before, this one is okay to download. The only thing "broken" is the statusbar.
V2.2-

NOTE: do not wipe cache/dalvik in this version!!! If you absolutely have to, make sure you do it in cwm!
NOTE: wiping cache/dalvik is strongly recommended for this version as a speed tweak requires it. JUst make sure you wipe cache/dalvik from cwm ONLY.
V2.3-
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?dsbgdi5r7p0psqr
NOTE: if you get bootlooped for over 30-45 minutes, reboot into recovery, wipe cache/dalvik, and hit "fix permissions" in the advanced menu. reboot, and it should be good.
V2.4-
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mlks4m7b96qyj6d
To install:
1. Download (of course)
2. Make sure you have Either Klin's or the Terrasilent kernel installed.
3. Reboot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik, go to advanced, and hit reboot download. Note: DO NOT PERFORM A FULL WIPE! It may break your home button if you do.
4. Flash my rom, and profit!
NOTE: on first boot, it may look like it is bootlooping. This is okay! This is caused by the zipalign script ensuring that your apps run as fast as possible. I am casually working on fixing that "issue".
Enjoy, and make sure you drop me a PM if there are any feature/tweaks you want to see in a future version!
If you are interested in some of the tweaks I have applied, or are interested in some specific beta tweaks I have, check out this link for the most up-to-date tweaks that you can apply yourself! Note that that is only some of the tweaks I have applied to my rom, to get the best experience, make sure you flash this first to check it out!

2. Make sure you have about 14 MB free space on /system.
3. Boot into CWM recovery and do a full nandroid backup.
4. Reboot, and from your computer go to the CWM backup directory on your sd card. Alternatively, you could use a file explorer to view and edit these files.

I am currently working on a fix, although you can find a working settings.db linked somewhere in this thread's later pages. Simply place it in /dbdata/databases/com.android.providers.settings/settings.

Update: it seems that something in the mod I applied was the issue. I will look into it further
Update: What exactly does apk manager mean by a "keep" folder? The project's folder? I believe that not touching that is what may be causing my issues, as I never deleted resources.arsc from it when editing xml the first time.
Update: some of my issue may be due to .9 png's...I will keep working on it. It seems vertumus' theme does not want to play nice with the Gplayer...
Fully restored all links! make sure you grab my latest version! I will release a rethemed version in a few days, but for now, you will have to settle with 1.5. Look at the changelog! I made some pretty cool changes to it.
Hi Han! I have an intl device which is working with your 1.4 strqtusrom. (I will update tomorrow)
I have a big problem : there is not enough ram. When I use the browser and power amp at the same time, most of the time my device freezes. (my launcher is adw ex) And after rebooting I have lost 15% of battery! I've just downloaded ram manager and using "more free memory" profile it seems to be better.
But I think this is the best rom for our players. It is very smooth and fast (my quadrant is 2200 using ext4, smartass, 1.2 ghz, deadline) , and the battery life is great.
So I think you should add more ram. If you keep the ics theme you should also remove the "galaxy player", in the notification bar.
(sorry for my bad English)

I believe that was a small glitch, which is fixed in 1.5. Additionally check supercharger and make sure the profiles are sticking. I got freezes like yours for awhile until I figured out that it was caused by supercharger not sticking for some reason. Either way that *should* be fixed in 1.5. Are you using terrasilent? sometimes the Zram/Zcache will cause freezing in certain devices when under heavy usage.
Hi Han, glad you decided to continue! Just flashed latest version and all running well so far. Thanks for all your time and effort....

Good to know that it works! in the upcoming releases I will be focusing on theming a but more than features (that is if my computer decides to play nice). I am a little bruned out at the moment so I may take a vacation from this for a day or two (I suppose that's what working in this constantly does to you ), but I will try to keep the updates coming, but maybe not quite as fast as before. next release WILL be V2.0, so I will add a lot of new features, and some major retheming.
Where can I check supercharger? ^^
I am using terrasilent 1.3.5, but (i think) zcache and zram are not enabled.

if you open up a terminal, get su, and type in "v6", it will launch. If it says it is not 100% supercharged, that is the issue. Just run the quick supercharger (option 10) from the menu.

Lets see what we can eliminate first before wiping completely. The home button is not an issue anymore, as I have posted a fix up in my howto section.

Hey Han, I was just playing around with this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719685 and I noticed in the services that TwLauncher took about 33MB and Xperia was at like 11-15MB, so maybe the Xperia launcher is worth looking into, not sure how it compares to LauncherPro but just wanted to put that out there.

Trying to fix my home button. Copied the .db file to my sdcard so I can access it on my computer. What program do I need to edit. I tried on my phone but I could not edit anything. Apparently it thinks I have an international phone.
I flashed 1.5 two or three hours ago, no problems, no bugs, all is smooth and fast.
My Quadrant score now is not 2200 but ... 1200 ! After the first quadrant test.(i was in ext4) i used the adrenaline shot tweak in your oter thread, but my score is still 1200. OC at 1.2ghz, smartassv2, deadline.

Look nice. I'll try this ROM now
I want to try this once my bandwidth limit refreshes (stupid ISP!) but may I ask, what's wrong with Video Recording? Isn't that supposed to be controlled by the kernel?

Sometimes when you stop recording the app yust crashes and sometimes it dosent save it i am curently trying to fix it new version will be out soon
EDIT:It was the kernel after all, you need to flash the 720p version the down side is that it uses more ram
New version relesed!
This is the best performance ICS rom I've seen for ages!!!!! I can play GTA San Andreas with no FC unlike other roms
Look at those posts on the SA thread here and here to see my review
Also it has a lot of internal space as shown in tthe OP, but for some reason I didn't have that much fre RAM. Anyway rom is smooth as butter. Trubo mode is good for heavy game, but it ruins multitasking, so don't activate it unless you need it.
Rom is awesome, but it will be better if you add some little features which we are really used to:
- notification toggles
- reboot options and screenshot by power button longpress (maybe with xposed framework module)
- battery percentage icon
Camera recording has an autofocus bug. It continously zooms in and out for some reason
This review was done in base of v1 with 720p Lupus ICS beta. Will try the v1.1 ASAP

I have seen the review before
You have les ram because of 720p kernel version which uses more ram than 480p where video recording dosent work
The notification toggles is something I wanted to add but ot uses 50mb of ram which is alot (i could make a addon zip for it)
The reboot and screenshot will be aded as soon as i learn how to do it without xposed framework and battery percentage is something i will look in to
I have noticeed that the camera can be buggy i will try to fix it as soon as i can.

I know the 720p kernel uses more ram, but its not too much (~20 mb). I mean the sreenshot in OP has 225mb free ram and I only get 150-180 mb free.
Anyway, great rom. And GREAT BATTERY LIFE!!!!! I've been using this rom with a single charge for 3 days now, and thats after playing SA for 30 min daily, Facebook profile checks on browser, a few calls to coordinate new year party and a lot of music playing

i was using this rom as my daily driver for today
bugs:
1-some ui lags that they are all related to ***** android 4.0.3 beta (i think its better to update your rom with a new version like 4.1.b.13)
2-some soft reboots due to my heavy usage(its ok to have this problem. i only had it in gta san andreas that is a very heavy game.)
anything else seems to be fine
but i don't understand why you removed calculator (because it doesn't eat any ram)

Ive noticed that the rom can be buggy sometimes and i will update it as soon i get my kernel up and running on it, and i removed the calculator because it can be downloaded from the playstore if its needed...
wow you are going to make a kernel
great news for us
only a suggestion for your kernel
add custom partition to it like the one that wedgess made for his lupus kernel

For "pure HD graphics" tweak" , flash zip from attachment. Improves GPU rendering performance without affecting battery life. It is tweak specially build for MTK devices.
For enhanced sound quality you can try "viper4android" app and move that app to system so that it is processing without being killed.
Unique Features you can Experience:-
* ART (activated ART instead of dalvik ( developers menu) & still not encountered any issues )
* Android M Boot animation
* Lollipop like recent apps ( mainly, quickly switches between huge again saying huge apps )
* Antutu Benchmark - 15858 ( I personally do not follow antutu completely because it shows that our device ( lenovo p780) only surpasses 50 % in battery performance. What to say ?
* Crosses 3S criteria :- Smooth, Stable & Speed. :victory:
* Great Multitasking ability for proof see screenshot.
( chrome - huge ram user, MX player, OfficeSuite pro, WhatsApp, better camera pro, es file explorer, play music, gmail & quickpic gallery - all these apps were opened & was able to multitask without any drawback )
* Also great battery life because when it sleeps it saves battery to large extent :-See screenshot.
* Dynamic Status Bar just like chameleon - Enjoy the colours while surfing colourful webpages.
* Use Seeder for complete lag reduction.
* Also gives option to delete screenshot in status bar - one of features of Android M as told by google in I/O.
* 16 MP image capture ability + HDR working.
To experience follow below steps :-
1) Install better camera apk.
2) convert it to system app using titanium backup.
3) uninstall google camera because panorama features does not work with it, but it works with better camera app - ( most highly recommend camera app by professional photographers).
4) Enjoy HD image capturing because HDR feature creates 11 MB size photo.
5) optional - use quickpic gallery app for faster access to your images.
Patches :- (Camera fix 8-2014) I think any patch is able to fix the problem on the camera's new Chinese versions. Since I did not CN 4GB phone, I can not verify it. Try it and if it does not write to the QMS. You can find file on other forums.
I am greatly thankful to bauuu for his development of such a unique rom. Also warm regards to AndreyZo and Andreya108 for their huge development in development of lenovo p780 (A super mini computer but with huge battery life).
For New Screenshots see attachments :-

Good ! we have new ROM to try
Just getting used with MIUI .
Let's try this one too...
Sent from my Lenovo P780
Yes miui is quite good. But it lacks in battery backup but gives nearly full performance.
My experience of battery when device is awake for nearly half of the time (90%-10%):
Stock ROM : 21 hrs 53 min
Android M preview : 1 day 21 hrs
MIUI : 12 hrs 54 min
To have complete google experience just like in case of nexus phones. Install google now launcher and convert it to system app using titanium backup.
Also I would like to mention that 246 MB is still free in system, which gives us advantage of moving useful apps to system.

Thanks for the wonderful rom.just downloaded and will try it on the coming Sunday.
Hope we will be receiving such new roms in future also

Yes, hoping that the development for our lenovo p780 continues and bring forward more features from the very same hardware.

SS for this ROM & my take on this ROM:
1.everything working fine.no FCs
2.a bit laggy during the animations.
3.battery backup is very good .
4.ram usage not optimised
4.more updates after further use.

Hello anujyadava,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
For improved graphics performance try pure HD tweak from attachment. It will eliminate lagginess during animation.
For ram purpose , can u tell are you on dalvik or art because but I am enjoying multitasking on ART without any drawback.
Sometimes even I forget to clear tasks, because there is no need. Only when I open recent panel I come to know that this much apps are running. ✌

i was on dalvik, changed to ART now and flashed the pure HD tweak zip and will monitor the multitasking now.will report the results soon.thanks anyways.
edit:everytime i change to art and reboot it is still dalvik.i am using CN base rom.any workaround for this
I am on ROW layout.
I rebooted several times and it is still on ART.
R u using xposed framework because when xposed is active it changes the runtime to dalvik as it is not compatible with it. I experienced such issues with xposed and ART.
Try Seeder for lag reduction. Now this device works like a charm.

Thanks for the share . I really love this rom so much .
Good for multitasking
So far no lagging or over heating issue while playing games.
Seeder app will fix the animation lags
Its not possible to adjust the media and notification volume using volume up and down keys from desktop .
Rom toolbox pro or rom toolbox lite is not working .
Modem issue is fixed after flashing s226 modem .
So far good .
See if one tweak is working or if you want some tweak to work it is necessary that you remove the control over your ROM from existing tweaks. Its governer or SD card read write speed is already monitored & controlled by inbuilt system.
I haven't felt any use of ROM toolbox and haven't used it since bindu kernel was made available for our phone.
And thanks for sharing your experience.

If you want to have expanded volume control on desktop using keys then gravitybox xposed module is there for such modifications.
But when you install xposed framework then your runtime will change from ART to dalvik.

Our system gathers some "real" random numbers by keeping an eye about different events: network activity, hardware random number generator etc.
Seeder app increases that rngd data & enhances I/O queue.
Main thing is it stops that service after screen off to save huge amount of battery.
Also it increases entropy by much amount upto 4096.
U have to just install that app & tick all the boxes and finally push enable button.

For lollipop theme in settings try monster UI xposed module.
