[Q] HELP!!! Stuck in CWM Bootloop HTC One T-Mobile - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

Here is the issue. I had TWRP. It was working ok, but decided to try ClockWork Mod instead and tried to flash the latest version of CM11. I had a backup with TWRP, and assumed it would carry over with CWM, but it seems it has not. I am essentially stuck in a CWM bootloop. My options are to
-reboot system now
-Install Zip From SD Card
-install Zip from Sideload
-wipe data/ factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-backup and restore
-mounts and storage
-advance
I tried going in to backup and restore and selecting restore, but it says "No files found"
Then I tried Advanced Restore and it says the same
So I tried doing a factory restore, which worked fine with TWRP but now all it does with CWM is reboot the phone and send me right back in to CWM again, it enters straight in to recovery.
IS there ANYTHING I can do or did I just brick my phone? Please ANYONE that can help. I need my phone to work. :crying:

Re-flash twrp
Or [m7tmo][CWM Advanced Edition] PhilZ Touch
TWRP backups are compatible

[Q] Can I boot to 3.1 after stock recovery "factory reset"? [SOLVED]

To recalibrate my battery, I apparently must do the following:
Nandroid backup
flash back to stock with 3.1 kernel
flash the retail recovery
Factory reset (stock recovery does a couple extra things that cmw does not do)
Calibrate battery
Put into download mode, Flash cmw recovery through Odin
Restore nandroid
But, I read that the stock recovery "factory reset" will "wipe the SD card?". Does this mean that it wipes the ROM, so there is no ROM? If so, how do I then get the nandroid back onto the SD card, to restore? Is there a way to transfer files to the SGT while in recovery (I tried to "Mount USB storage" in CWM, without success)?
Or, does the "factory reset" just wipe user data, so I will still be able to boot to 3.1 after factory reset, and then I can kies the nandroid backup?
Thank you.
EDIT:
Took the plunge and learned that the stock recovery factory reset wipes the SD card and then installs the "factory" ROM, so you can boot the Tab after the procedure.
Issue solved, per OP.

Help help helllllppppp

Hi Guy,
I got a BIIIGGG problem.
After doing some VERY quick research i decided to get started by rooting and installing VillainROM, which worked lovely...no probs, however because there was a lack of themes (the main reason i rom'd the phone), I was swayed to go for Cynogen.
After downloading CM7.1 and installing through CWM my phone will not boot.
I have tried to do a factory reset through CWM, wipe the cache, and reinstall VillainROM but to no effect and stupidly i didnt backup my data.
Any advice on what i can do or have I bricked my phone?
What does the screen show? Can you get into download mode or recovery? Have you tried flashing the rom twice? This worked for me in the past.
Ricey
yep i can get into recovery and download mode, but when i boot the phone no joy
Ive tried installing the rom several times
Try formatting /data, /cache and /system from CWM recovery before flashing the new ROM.
If that doesn't help flash a stock ROM from Intratech's thread in the dev section via Odin.
1st- Boot into recovery.
2nd- wipe data/factory reset
3rd- wipe cache
4th- go to advanced/ wipe dalvik cache
5th- go to mounts and storage - format/system
6th- go to install ROM from SD card - select the ROM you'd like
7th- reboot system DO NOT TOUCH MAY TAKE A WHILE
8th- let it sit for 10 minutes once its booted so all the cache can build back up
9th- reboot, set up, and enjoy!!
Hope this helps!
Enzopreme you are a legend many thanks indeed

[Q] fascinate stuck in recovery? THS cm9 build10

I just flashed THS cm9 build 10 over build 9 on my fascinate, with CWM-based recovery v5.5.0.4, before I flashed it I wiped cache & dalvik-cache.. and now when I try to boot it goes straight to recovery.
Is there anything I can do? or do I have to do a full wipe & start over?
edit: I wiped data, and re-flashed the zip and it still keeps rebooting into recovery. I guess I'll try restoring to stock, and then re-flashing THS build 10
edit 2: UGH..I wiped my data for nothing. At least I have a who-knows-how-old titanium backup of my apps. After I wiped data and it still would not work, I found "fix ics fascinate recovery boot loop" on google. I entered download mode for some reason by accident, and then I did the 3-finger-recovery. >_< so anyway I heimdall'ed a CWM from a Vanilla GB rom, and it's all fixed now.
Section 9: How to get out of a bootloop situation on cm9 mtd based roms without using odin!!
-Power device off, pull sd card, and push a cm7 based rom(see section 3 for link) to the sd card via your PC, then reinstall the sd card on your device
-three finger into recovery
-wipe data
-flash cm7 and and it will bootloop back into recovery
-flash cm7 again, then let it boot
-boot into recovery via power menu
-wipe data
-flash ics build 2 and let it boot
-boot into recovery again via power menu
-wipe data
-flash ICS rom of choice and gapps, reboot

Question regarding flashing of CWM Advanced Edition PhilZ Touch (6.43.8) recovery.

MY PROBLEM : When i wipe the dalvik cache before flashing a new rom, the following message shows "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]", and i always get stuck in bootloop. So i have to reflash cwm(6.0.4.5)via odin. Even after reflashing, when i go in the recovery and again clear the dalvik, i get the same message ,and again, the device gets stuck in bootloop. So this means that everytime i have to flash a ROM , i will have to reflash the cwm via odin, because of the above mentioned error. I have got the following questions :
1) How can this issue be fixed? (I searched the q&a and the fix for the bootloop was given that reflash the cwm, but that didnt fix the E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext] error)
2) Will flashing the latest philz recovery fix this error E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]??
3) If i flash the latest recovery by philz, will the nandroid backup of my stock rom made from my old cwm recovery 6.0.4.5 work with the philz recovery, or will i have to first restore the stock rom via cwm(6.0.4.5), update the cwm by flashing the philz recovery, then make a nandroid backup of my stock rom via the philz recovery?
Are u following the proper order? You first need to wipe the cache and then wipe the dalvik cache. Otherwise just flash stock ROM vi odin

Wipe rom after wiping everyrging in recovery

Hello, i want to decrypt my phone and need a bit of help. i saw that i need to wipe and format daata to decrypt my phone. what i am not sure about is if i wipe everything in the recovery is the rom i used before still on the phone or do i have to reflash it?
You are most likely using TWRP recovery. To decrypt your phone, boot into recovery, then press wipe. Select "Format data". Type "yes", as instructed to do so. At this point, your internal storage will be wiped, so make a backup! This will NOT wipe your ROM (you delete it, if you wipe your system partition). Instead, it will wipe your data - just like a factory reset.
After this, I do recommend you flash DFE (if you are planning to root your phone, first install Magisk, then DFE). It's been deprecated some time ago, however it was necessary for my device; for the recovery to work properly.
