Device hard bricked. - Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro

hello,
I have this Galaxy Grand Quattro for almost a month now. I was fascinated by this "rooting" thing and was able to successfully root my phone via framaroot. Somehow my device is unable to start at all. It won't go to download or recovery mode either so i can't flash it.
Please tell me what i should do now.
Your help will be very much appreciated.

rescue / recover bricked samsung galaxy ace s5830

hey there!
i guess i found the solution for my problem on this forum but i cant find the topic anymore. i just wanted say "thank you" to the unknown author,
and post the solution again, so maybe some more people can find it since it was just coicidence for me..
okay my samsug galaxy ace s8530 has been bricked when some flashing went wrong. afterwards there was no reaction anymore. i was pretty shure ther was no way but doing this.
unfotunetly i found a post without any answers where someone told the following:
1: take out your battery
2: connect your mobile to your pc using the usb data cable
3: keep pressed these three buttons: Vol- , Menu, Power
4: still keep them pressed and put back your battery to the phone. this is not too easy but actually its possible
5: the mobile will go to download mode, flash with odin.
my battery was nearly completly charged when i did this, and
it worked for me! thanks again to the guy who found out!
btw it is also possible to get to the arm9 mode this way. i just couldnt figure out what it was good for.
I will give it a try tomorrow on my s5570 that i just bought/bricked lol
unfortunately it didnt work for me, would creating a usb test jigs help in my case (my phone cant even power on), and does it charge if I connect it to the power cord?

No it's not the same!!!
With your method, you didn't mention to keep pressing the 3 buttons while putting back the battery. In his, there is this instruction.
With yours it didn't show "Downloading".

Help need for bricked ace S5830
Good day to all!
I am trying to help out a colleague who 'probably' has bricked his Ace S5830
He says he was attempting to flash stock 2.3.6 and this happened.
He has been rooted and using CM previously.
Can anyone please advise what this screen/logo means?
It can go to Download mode but not recovery mode.
I can obtain more details if required.
Thanks and cheers to all.
My phone only enter to the download mode, but i can`t flash it, because i have half-bricked USB port. It`s only charges after connecting to PC: "USB Device not recognized" and in the device manager: "Unknown Device" "A request for the USB device descriptor failed.". Any solutions?

If Odin can detect your phone then you should be able to flash your phone with it regardless what the screen looks like.
Can you help me how to do it? I have Samsung Galaxy Gio S-5660 GT
If you will turn my phone on, I promise to pay you.

Well you said Odin detects your phone still right? You should be able to find Odin flashable firmware for your phone and flash as usual.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
If Odin detects your phone then there might be a chance to flash a new rom to your device.
Go to samfirmware.com and find an rom/firmware for your phone... Then download it and flash it using one package techinque in odin. If you need more help post your phone model, it might help for better reply ...

Go to this link and get yourself a good rom/kenel that is for your region's device. Then try to flash it using one package option in ODIN in download mode.
You can also find a guide on flashing your rom @ samfirmware.com/guides.htm

[Q] What are the causes why you can't unbrick your phone?

I know there are tons of questions here how to unbrick a phone. But, this is not about it.
I know you can't unbrick your phone if you messed up your download mode and you can't even boot up into download mode.
What are the causes why you can't enter in download mode?
How do I prevent destroying my download mode?
For others who are asking if they can unbrick their phones. I would answer you, yes as long as you have download mode you can do whatever you like. I have bricked my phone countless times already. But I am not sure until when my download mode will last.
I dont know if this applies for SGA but you can just use JTAG.
Some have lost the imei, this apears to be the only reason. It normaly happens through trying to unlock the phone.
Sent by my epic MY-UI powered ace! only on s5830
@QNBT
thanks for your input. However I am asking ways to 'prevent' download mode from being destroyed
@Jusada
Does this mean if I don't brick my phone by unlocking, I can unbrick it by flashing.
And if gets bricked by unlockinge then I have to use jtag.?
Sent from my GT-S5830 using XDA App
i have a galaxy s and not the ace, so i'm not 100% sure, but you can only permanently brick your phone when you start messing around with the bootloader
download mode is part of the bootloader, so as long as you leave the bootloader untouched, you can always boot into download mode and reflash the phone

Using JTAG youre actually able to boot up without a bootloader in the phone, it supplies everything from the computer.
If you want to prevent it from bricking, keep away from network unlocking as jusada mentioned. Only flash stuff that is compatible with your rom.
Just curious: if I accidentally plugged out my phone while flashing (in download mode) through ODIN, what would happen? Would it be bricked?
Asking for theories, not practices.

i couldn't see anything displayed on my Samsung Galaxy ACE, even after the 3 button combo.. does this mean my phone is totally bricked?
I installed ROM manager and wen i tried to backup my current ROM, it shutdown and doesn't show anything now..
I'm in bad situation.. please advice me!!
by anychance the USB jig works?
In dis forum most of the people were briked their aces by using rom manager
it really does depends on whether it is a soft brick or a hard brick.

[q] help please !!!

Hi im new with galaxy s 5.0 . And today i tried to root it with odin and i made a mistake and now my galaxy s 5.0 wont boot. What should i do now ?
Please help me ! Thanks !
Use "samfirmware" to flash your device with the stock firmware.
I cant even turn on my phone or go to download mode or recovery. Its totally dead. And there is just when i connect galaxy to pc it says installing some driver ! and at the end it wont install . i need to send my galaxy to samsung to fix it or there is solution i can make on my own ? please help !
Does it show anything on your screen at all when you hold down the power button?
Any icons at all?
Perhaps a picture of a Cellphone and a desktop PC with an X in the middle of it?
Also post your exact model number of your device. It should be located underneath your battery.
Thanks for help !
No i dont have any icons. And now i saw i must UnBrick it. So i installed ubuntu on my pc and i UnBricked my Galaxy s 5.0 and now it is in download mode. But Galaxy 5.0 must stay connected all time to stay in download mode. And i saw i must do something with Heimdall and i really dont know how to use it. I dont know how to use .deb file on ubuntu.
So i think i just need to flash it with Heimdall because there is no Odin for linux. But nobody wants to help me.
i have Galaxy s 5.0 YP-G70CB
I believe that hemidall is also made for windows. I have never used hemidall though. Only Odin. I think the next step is to find the correct firmware for your device. I see lots of YP-G70 firmwares, but I noticed your model is YP-G70CB. I don't know what the CB stands for I'm afraid.
Also with your model number, is that the full model number shown behind the battery? Is there something like YP-G70CB/XEH or something after the forward slash. Or does it just say YP-G70CB and thats it? I am trying to see if I can find the right firmware for you, if it exists.
Behind the battery are just that numbers. U can find me a firmware but i cant install it. Beacuse my Galaxy 5.0 now is in download mode and im on linux and i must run Heimdall to flash it with a some frimware. But i am having troubles to installing Heimdall Frontend. So i just can watch my galaxy and do nothing
If you can get the Player into download mode now it should work with Odin.
In fact, at the moment Heimdall won't work (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511624)
You just need the right firmware files and then you should be able to flash it with Odin.
I'm guessing you have the international version and not the USA version of the device, if so you probably want to download one of the firmwares in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1444636
Yeah i have the Galaxy in the download mode but how u dont understand. I UnBricked my Galaxy on Ubuntu (linux) and now i must to flash it but i cant do it with Odin because Odin is not for linux. But i have Ubuntu and Win 7 on my pc. I restarted my pc and i went to Win 7 and i was opening Odin but odin didnt recognize my galaxy and dont know why but it was in download mode. And if i disconnect usb cable download mode turns off and i cant turn it on again because i must use program from Ubuntu http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257434.
I have problem with this -------> S5PC110. And its black screen on my galaxy always... So i can only turn it on with UnBrick program from Ubuntu and then. I thnik there are 2 or 3 more steps that i cant do !
Im trying this whole day and nothing..
relax man,i had the same problem as you do and i fixed it and now my device is working just fine.there is a guide in XDA forum (link:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496360)
just do what the guide said and everything is gonna be alright.
for any questions you can ask me because i got myself into hard brick too.
but just for you to know it might take you couple of days.
it took me 6 days to understand and to succeed to run programs on linux (with people that know linux well).
but i will try to help you as much as i could
Thanks man.
I will try this tomorrow i cant do it anymore. I am trying this all day. But thanks very much for this. I think this gonna work ! Just tell me something i think that first step isnt that hard but how 6 days?? lol i cant imagine 6 days without galaxy i think i will do that all day tomorrow. Just to make it work ! I will send u a message if i need something. and i will tell u when im done ! Thanks !
