Um I'm not sure what to say. Try turning down the bass.

It doesn't help either but thanks for trying to help me out

The phone has a horrible loudspeaker. You can't really do much to improve the sounds quality. It just isn't powerful enough.
Damn it I had my cousin's blackberry and played a song from the speaker and I was amazed it had such a sound it was omg I can say! It even beats my computer LOL.

That's about the only good thing on them..
Just switched from an iPhone to S II and the volume is quite poor comparing the both of them. How can I fix it to boost it by a decent amount? I don't need it to work for the speaker, just earphones.
Running NDT's latest MIUI release if it matters.

Isn't that just a MIUI problem?
I don't know, it was never this bad on my old HD2 or Desire Z running MIUI ROM's. Surely there's a way it can be boosted?

Thanks for that but that seems to only change the phones volume around as if you had no hardware buttons. I'm looking to pass the preset volume.

Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for. Do you know what a suitable level is? I tried 93 but it's just muffled in my earphones lol.

Also the response time, I notice the music keeps dipping and then raising again. I have that on the default 500ms.

Just upgraded from vibrant and my beats solo Mic cord is not working with this phone. Anyone else get there's to work? When I plug it in its registered as a earphone device that may be the problem.
It's not compatible man bit annoying u can still answer calls with it gets but no volume control

Woow unbelievable.. there better be a fix for this soon or some 3rd party app. Not even wired headset fix worked. If I plug in the cord all the way I can hear the person on the phone, but the person can't hear me. If I don't click the cord all the way down "sometimes" they can hear me through the Mic, but I can't hear them. Can't believe a phone in 2012 is not compatible with such a huge commercial item.
Because it sucks and no one wants to use it anyway

Does that allow you to use your beats during phone calls? I could care less about using my phone as a music player, because i have another device for that, but using it as a headset for phone calls is crucial
I can answer calls with mine no problem

I tried shutting my phone off and it still doesn't work. I tried using the beats mic on my ipod touch and it works so i know the cord isn't bad. Also the headphones with the mic that came with the galaxy S 3 work as well.
Hello,
I use my galaxy mega a lot for multimedia purposes, but it seems to have an issue with the volume. Sometimes the volume shoots up randomly almost blowing up my ears with headphones, but the problem remains when using the speaker.
Does anyone else experience this problem?

My question is did Samsung finally make a phone that can actually be useful at a concert and record good quality sound from a video? Anything with loud bass looks great but sounds like being on the phone and the person on the other line is repeatedly blowing into their phone lol. Please I hope, I hate how iPhones have this up on galaxy's :banghead:
