No idea what ROM or kernel you are using but if the kernel supports fast charge just download a fast charge app from the play store. Alternatively check the Roms performance settings and enable fast charging that way.

And changing the voltage and im not sure if im suppose to flash on a script or something. If there is something i need to flash then someone let me know. I just want a good battery thats why i choose siyah so maybe this script stuff is good. Plus theres not one theres mutiple scripts so then which one. Its all very confusing to me :? Ask in the Siyah thread in the development section.
No you don't need cuz in version 2.6.3 we see
removed siyah-battery, siyah-defaults and siyah-performance scripts from the blog. please remove all existing scripts before installing this version (or flash your existing rom again to remove all scripts). use init.d scripts if you know what you do, otherwise use VoltageControl app or ThunderBolt! scripts. use this CWM recovery flashable zip to remove previous 01siyah script. just flash it once and /system/etc/init.d/01siyah script will be removed.

and for 2.6.6 you don't need zip for battery.
The scripts people are talking about are pikcahu's thunderbolt! scripts, you dont need to flash them if you dont want to, they can help, but performance/batt are good at stock values.
(Part of thunderbolt! is built into the kernel anyway)
Thanks guys so i should leave it at wat its at when i flashed 2.6.6

What do you want to change?
I would use voltage control myself, though with 2.6.6 it wont set max frequency correctly, that's supposed to be fixed next kernel version.
Well i use it to clock cpu lower at low battery and screen off

Yeh you can use setcpu to-do that, if you want! It wont hurt anything. Dont Undervolt to much or you may get instability.
By undervolt u mean underclocking right ?

No.. undervolting is lowering the voltage at each frequency step
Underclocking is lowering the max frequency.
eg setting the max to 1000mhz would be underclocking
setting 1000mhz to 1100mV would be undervolting (just an example)
I havent even touched voltage settings i have no exp in tht

1. Many things can make battery discharge quickly; apps, kernel etc.
- Download Better battery stats and use it to track down what's causing wakelocks.
- Download cpuspy to check your cpu activity
- Download Rescan Media Root, and use it to disable the media scanner on boot.
2. That's probably screen of death, SOD. did you change any settings in Extweaks?

no problems here with RR 3.06 and siyah 4.15
It is better battery there than stock rom I find.:good:
I only changed max mhz to 1ghz. And nothing else.

Ok.
Follow this:
-Boot to CWM recovery
-Flash kernel cleaning script,
-Then flash Siyah kernel
If you still face battery issue, then follow step 1. In my previous post

And if nothing works for you.. you can always try switching kernel, latest Dorinmax is pretty good

I didnt try your first options yet. But im not home so i cant download too much. What kernel cleaning script do i need? Do i need to flash it like a normal kernel?
Will the dorminax kernelwork on RR?

Battery profile in Extweaks gives a decent battery performance without a noticeable drop in performance.
You can only change profile in Extweaks plus (paid version).
If you are using the free version, then,
- Boot to CWM recovery
- Select kernel specific options
- Set battery profile for Extweaks
- Reboot phone

Running dorimanx kernel for a few hours now. Still got the feeling it discharges quick. Any other solutions? Ill keep you guys updated

Anyone managed to write to build prop?
Why does it say unfortunately app n shortcut has stop...is that a bug..
So how can i edit the build prop if it doesn't seem to save it? I'm on this kernel and i think system is still not writing. Anyone got this working?? Please do tell us how?

I just changed it to Galaxy Nexus by using Root Explorer and it worked correctly.
Be sure you are on the latest kernel, as it is the only one that allows writing to /system while booted into android.

I can confirm that editing build prop does work and stick on reboot. Was able to make photosphere stop working and start working again as a test.
You may have to reboot one more time. After installing it I updated superuser and it had a read/write error. After rebooting it is fine.
And once again my phone hates any kernel that's out beside stock. I wonder what's the problem that my phone hasn't been able to run without freezing and rebooting

It's this s-off or a workaround?

According to the developer, neither. IDK, it seems like we can pretty much do anything now.
I posted a "stock" version. For those who cannot seem to run anything else without driving me nuts, um, I mean without problems.

Neither...
Most unlock methods do not keep us from writing to /system, this fixes that for us.

Hi everybody.
I got a problem with my S3 I9300.
The thing is that it is stuck/freezes very frequently during the day.
Sometimes it doesn't wake up from deep sleep (neither if I hit the home button nor the power on/off button) and sometimes it just reboots and I have to enter the SIM PIN.
I really have no clue what the hell is wrong - it worked like a charme until this thing started (about one week ago).
After I reboot the device it is working for ... I cannot say exactly. Hours? Minutes?
During the night it seems like there is no problem - because if it would freeze/reboot I would not hear my alarm
It is rooted and Cyanogenmod 10.1 is running on it (nightly build from the 28th of April).
Are there any logfiles on the system were I can take a look at or something like this? Something is happening and I want to find out what exactly and how to prevent it from happening.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

I've already "flashed"/updated to the newest Cyanogenmod release without success.
But I can give it a try with another ROM/Stock ROM.
Thanks so far.
Have you tried on Settings>Developer Options to disable all animations?
You can also try Greenify app (for rooted phones only) it's disables unnecessary processes.
And by the way don't forget to clean your cache (you can use Clean Master app for that)

Hi Simonna,
thanks - I'll give it a try.
I'll also test if the issue is still persistent with AOKP ROM. If it is, I will try the Stock ROM.
Many thanks so far.

Manuel
I flashed to the current AOKP ROM some days ago and I have to say it is running really smooth and stable. Just had one hang and this may has been caused by an app. Maybe something was wrong/faulty with the file system or something.
Furthermore thanks for the "Greenify"-App hint. This is app is brilliant!

As in your other topic if you want to use *#0# flash a Samsung ROM.
Alternatively you could try a CM kernel with Perseus screen calibration by Andrelux. Only one I know of is Temasek's kernel.
Edit: Perseus screen calibration does not do touch calibration.
