MININ3
(OPERATION MENDIOSUS)
{RELEASE 1.0 ALPHA TEST}
(I know this seems like a lot to read through but I highly recommend it)
SEE POST #2 FOR DOWNLOAD LINKS
SEE POST #3 FOR INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
SEE POST #4 FOR CONTRIBUTOR AND TEST GROUP INFO
PLEASE BE AWARE-- THIS ROM IS NOT BASED ON OFFICIAL SAMSUNG FILES, IT IS BASED ON A RUNNING CM11 CYANOGENMOD SYSTEM.
AND WHILE THIS IS VERY GOOD, CM11 IS NOT 100% READY FOR OUR DEVICES, ALSO ANY SAMSUNG SPECIFIC FEATURES (MULTIWINDOW, PEN WINDOW, SHEALTH, ect) WILL NOT WORK (THOUGH I WILL ATTEMPT TO INCLUDE ALTERNATES), AND WHILE IT IS PRETTY STABLE, AT THIS TIME THERE WILL BE SOME MINOR BUGS. AS CM11 CHANGES THOSE WILL BE REDUCED. IF YOU NEED ABSOLUTE STABILITY AND EXCELLENT BATTERY LIFE PLEASE USE A TOUCHWIZ ROM BASED ON THE OFFICIAL mj4 UPDATE>
for a slightly better look at what touchwiz is vs what cm11 (aosp) is check out a few of these links.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48773400&postcount=2
http://www.androidauthority.com/touchwiz-better-than-stock-android-215634/
I AM NOT TRYING TO SAY cm11 ISNT VERY GOOD. I LIKE IT QUITE A BIT.
or i wouldnt have gone through the effort of making this.
just that touchwiz is more than the launcher it is actually a whole set of files built directly into the system specifically designed for our devices.
MANY of the apps that come stock on the note 3 rely on these files to function.
and no its not as easy as just copying them over to cm11 based roms.
CM11 is more of a vanilla android experience (with some mods)
PLEASE READ POST #3 CAREFULLY.
THE INSTALL PROCEDURE FOR THIS ROM MAY BE A BIT DIFFERENT THEN WHAT YOU'RE USED TO.
MY TOUCHWIZ BASED ROMS
**BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MININ3.MINIMUS FOR A FULLY DEBLOATED, MORE STOCK EXPERIENCE**
**BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MININ3.MAXIMUS FOR A TOUCHWIZ BASED EXTREMELY STABLE CUSTOM EXPERIENCE**

NO KERNEL INCLUDED>
MUST INSTALL OVER A CM11 BASED BUILD
which will have the kernel and a full system this rom only changes and adds features for cm11 builds
STEP ONE:
install a cm11 build tested over this one here...
thank @noobnl for his hard work bringing us a working cm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2599669
i used:NEW NEW NEW BUILD from that thread.
there is now an official build page for the note 3 cm builds here.
latest official builds can be found here
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=hltespr
Reports are it also works very well with VANIR based roms
http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/hltespr/
STEP TWO GET THIS FILE:
DOWNLOAD
VERSION 1.0 ALPHA SOME MINOR BUGS (CM11 is not 100% yet)
(if downloading from phone gives a bin file download with a pc, should be.zip)
INCLUDES ALL NECESSARY GAPPS AND OTHER NEEDED FILES!
Built on top of cm11 for multiple reasons, (my upload bandwith is horrible right now, cm11 is getting constant updates, this will make things easier on me at least until everything gets worked out) (should also work UNTESTED on other cm11 builds/roms for the sprint note 3)

Install instructions
FOR THIS VERSION AT THE MOMENT CWM RECOVERY IS NOT SUPPORTED
cwm lacks the fix permissions script needed to ensure certain data settings remain intact
future versions will improve on this, however for now use TWRP
Install notes for test version 1 (this will change dramatically with upcomming versions)
FIRST (ESPECIALLY IF COMING FROM 4.3)
wipe everything in recovery except internal and external sd
(wipe>advanced)
reboot into recovery (IMPORTANT)
then install from there.
install cm11 first
boot to system
This is an update add on to cm11 based roms
flash update reboot (to write data to system)
flash update again, fix permissions, (edits data after a boot)
reboot
(i have been working on a much improved install procedure that should ensure a one step install,
the reason for editing data is to pre-set some app settings
without having to edit individual apk files, this increases
compatibility and ensures things still work as intended as apps get updated)
open pie control give admin
open wanam press update install (to force admin)
will need to open a few other apps also will list as found
future versions should take care of this automagically.
can use hide apps to hide unwanted apps from the launcher (this will also be preset in the future)
i usually use it to hide all the wanam modules and not the xposed installer.
then use xposed installer , modules to edit settings as needed.
also can hide anything else you want to leave installed but not see.
these apps may need root enabled (just open and try and change something) should prompt..
Xposed installer
Pie control
startup manager (if wanted)
texdroider dpi (if wanted)
file manager
xhalo floating windows (wanam module)
app hider (to hide apps optional)
also there are some included themes under the settings menu themes.
ignore the warning and just press apply, (stock cm11, blackout, twstyle)
may also want to uncheck and recheck all the wanam modules and reboot after to be sure they all actually get set.
ADVANCED USERS/USERS WANTING TO USE THIS ON TOP OF ANOTHER CM11 BUILD
STILL READ ABOVE NOTES>
Dirty flash on top of any running cm11 system should be fine (unconfirmed)
NOT WIPING DATA SHOULD BE FINE ALSO IF YOU ARE ALREADY ON A 4.4 BUILD.
DO THIS:
flash update reboot (to write data to system)
flash update again, fix permissions, (edits data after a boot)
reboot

Would we be able to downgrade back to 4.3 without any issues or do we need to do something special in order to do that?

Ohai! Guess I'll jump in here.
Yup... Spoiled by the participating...
Caution - SDcard directory changes with 4.2 installation
For those of you that are new to 4.2 releases, be aware that installing and running this rom creates a directory "/sdcard/0" and moves all content in the sdcard directory to the "0" directory. (Perhaps I missed a posting somewhere on this.)
I reinstalled this rom a few times due to Gapps crashes and later could not find any of my files files in the sdcard directory including my backup files. I first thought I had accidentally formatted the sdcard, but later found that each time I had tried to flash and start this rom another new "0" subdirectory was created and all files were moved to yet another subdirectory. By time I was done all my files were safely stored in /sdcard/0/0/0/.
Also be aware that the Clockworkmod directory is one of those moved and Clockworkmod Recovery may not be able to find your nandroid backup in the new directory if you decide to restore. I haven't tried the latest version of CWM, but it was a problem on the six week old version I had installed.
It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on and am hoping to save someone else the trouble.
Edit: Installed the latest version (as of 12/17) of CWM and it.too was unable to find my nandroid backup once it was moved to the /sdcard/0 directory by the 4.2 installation process. To restore my old rom I had to do a clean install, then install ES file Explorer, move the clockworkmod directory to /sdcard/ and THEN restore.

You need to upgrade your recovery to the latest cwm or twrp. The issue has been fixed since 11/16

Its not "this ROM" its all 4.2 ROMs that do it. And the way to prevent the /0/0/0/0 is by updating your recovery to the latest CWM or TWRP.
the new multi user in 4.2.x moves all your internal data to /data/media/0 for the main device owner. And if you create another user you will see /1 for the second user and so on for however many users you add.
So on 4.2.x ROMs you will have one /0 and it needs to be like that, if you move all your data to /data/media you will have issues. The /0 is a must and is the way of the future.
Having said that I will say it again. If you haven't already you really need to update your recovery.
Also on the note of gapps you must use the gapps specifically for 4.2 not 4.1.1 if you don't use 4.2 gapps you will have gapps fc like crazy
The slider in the Quicksettings menu for brightness is very laggy. Volume seems fine though. Also, my battery meter in Quicksettings sometimes says 0%, even though I'm at 97%.

The version of gapps I installed was 4.2 downloaded from the OP. I also tried a 4.2 gapps downloaded from another link so I was probably just missing a step somewhere or had a bad rom download, I'll try again tomorrow.
I do not believe I suggested that there was anything wrong with this or any other 4.2 rom (and certainly did not mean to suggest anything of the sort), only that there are important changes to be aware of when moving from 4.1 to 4.2 and back.
Thanks, will give it a try.

Can we just dirty flash 45 over 44? Will gapps need to be reflashed again also?
44 was running pretty well. Already downloaded 45. Waiting on answer before I flash new build.

Yep..dirty flashed rom an reflashed gapps. All running well so far.
Unless instructed otherwise from eos4 nightly to nightly a dirty flash is fine.
Also the latest update fixes ALOT of the third party apps FC'ing.
So put firefox, kindle, and many more on the problem squashed list.
Anybody having issues using the latest nightlys with custom kernels? I tried using Franco's kernel and I am unable to install paid apps with it. I get the USB storage error.

[KOT49H] Synman's GwT ROM for DEB

[KOT49H] Synman's GwT ROM for DEB
GwT is an experimental AOSP build for the N73G and N7LTE Nexus tablets for those wanting to stay as close to the intended Google Experience as possible.  SMS and MMS are fully functional as is tethering.  This ROM is slim with no bloat or non experience apps loaded and should serve well as a daily driver or as a base ROM for theming / framework hacks when the modder doesn't want to go through the trouble to create their own full build.
As with all things XDA, proceed at your own RISK.
FEATURES / HIGHLIGHTS
Pure AOSP (built from source) 4.4 [aosp_deb-user KOT49H]
Dual Pane Preferences (including System Preferences)
Reboot and Reboot Recovery options added to shutdown menu
Bundled with Launcher2 (survives GAPPs install)
Native dialer is exposed, but GSM voice capability still not possible
Orientation Sensor supported Dialer (not yet)
Tethering & Hotspot is enabled
Full APN list
Full SMS and MMS Send & Receive
APN Settings Editor Preference no longer a dialog (exposed actions)
Phone Settings (and its children) no longer dialogs (fixes SIP Providers Editor)
Rock Solid ROM - As stable as stock
/system/bin/mountrw.sh for ease of rw mounting
No SimpleSmsReceiver
Sun Beam Live Wallpaper included (NOT IN KOT49H)
Updated boot animation
CRT screen off animation
What's Broke:
GSM Voice Communication (SIP works fine)
Occasional crash switching orientation from sleep

Install Instructions (assumes already unlocked):
It is highly recommended that you start with a full wipe from a known good installation of the N7LTE stock binaries.
If you don't know how to get to this initial state or how to proceed on your own bypassing this step then you have no business installing this ROM.
As of KRT16O GwT is installed via recovery. RC1 (based on the original Nexus 5 source) requires fastboot.
KOT49H Installation Instructions
Flash Google's Factory Image for KOT49H to your device and perform at least one full boot. This is the recommended baseline for KOT49H and ensures you have the most recent boot loader, kernel, and modem firmware installed.
Install the latest DEB version of TWRP or Clockwork Recovery and boot your tablet into it.
Download the GwT KOT49H zip file to your PC and copy it to your tablet's sd card.
Via recovery perform an install of the GwT KOT49H zip update.
Perform a factory reset of your tablet in Recovery.
Perform at least one full boot.
Optionally, Install GAPPs (a PA link is provided below) and once again perform a factory reset of your tablet in Recovery.
Optionally, root your tablet using the link provided below.
RC1 Installation Instructions
Download the GwT zip file and unzip it on your PC. Reboot your N7LTE into bootloader mode and from the directory where you unzipped the GwT archive to execute the following commands:
Code:
Shells-Retina-MBP:GwT shell$ [B]export ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT=./[/B]
Shells-Retina-MBP:GwT shell$ [B]fastboot -w flashall[/B]
Once the install is complete if unsure of next steps or problems occur perform a Factory Reset of your N73G.
Reboot and allow GwT to fully boot.
Optionally, install the recommended Google Apps package referenced below.

You'll very likely want to copy Launcher2 from /system/priv-app back into /system/app after installing GAPPS. Google's Experience Launcher is not quite ready for primetime on our tablet yet.
Packaged with TWRP 2.6.3.0 instead of the stock recovery... please thank the TWRP guys for all their hard work.

This looks Great! Downloading now! Many thanks!
Edit: never mind, I figured it out
One question, is there going to be any issue for going back to stock?
Hint to flashers: userdata.img is going to erase all your internal memory.
The dialer is just so great, I can run USSD codes, and that's perfect! How did you get it to work? Is there the possibility of voice calls too in the future?
There are no issues going back to stock. I have tested this path forward and backward a couple times now with zero issues.
The above instructions (in their current form) require a FULL WIPE. I recommend this approach so as not to have to fall into the pit of this didn't work and that didn't work, etc, etc when folks get creative in the way they try to install the ROM.
You can certainly veer from this course, and I'm certain a few will with great success.
Voice calls will work awesome so long as you configure a SIP provider.
I have also posted the AOSP Launcher2.apk in the downloads area as it appears the PA GAPPS installer is wiping it out completely. If you want to get back to the stock launcher, simply drop Launcher2.apk back into /system/app and reboot. Post lock screen you will be prompted for which Launcher to use.
Hey syn, I remember you digging into the nexus7 first gen for gsm calls as well (thanks) is it looking like it's blockered by goog again on second gen as well?!?

Yup... Very similar observations thus far.

Fantastic job, thanks a lot!
Google be damned for the voice calls though

Very interresting project. If also the factory image & binaries are for deb avaialbe and you may update your current ROM I will test this ROM. Looks very promising.
Why we need to use these commands
Code:
Shells-Retina-MBP:GwT shell$ export ANDROID_PRODUCT_OUT=./
Shells-Retina-MBP:GwT shell$ fastboot -w flashall
to install the ROM. Why not a zip fo a recovery. What is the idea behind this process?
Also I can only install GApps AFTER the ROM boot up after installen. Not directly after the ROM flash?

Any news for the camera? Is it possible to port the drivers and libraries from official 4.4 Flo roms?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus 4 mit Tapatalk
Yeah, it is very doable using the flo sources but I'll likely wait for official deb to cut down on rework. My schedule is pretty booked.

Phone settings and it's children?? I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind.
This seems like an amazing ROM. I was looking at your thread for the original N7. I understand that GSM in not enabled, that is fine. But my question pertains to having the phone features enabled on this ROM. I am wanting to use my N7LTE as a primary device, I see that SIP is supported. This is great. However, what I am wanting to know is, does this dialer enabled ROM with the phone settings included, allow other devices to see this as a phone? My reason for asking is this. I have my tablet installed into the dash of my car. Bluetooth headsets can see the tablet having both Phone and Media tickboxes for connection over bluetooth. My car stereo, however seems to only recognize the tablet for Media audio. My current setup is stock KitKat, non-rooted. For activities like Play Music, only Media audio is ok, but for SIP or say Hangouts audio, I cannot get that to stream to the car stereo. My HTC One has the ability to do it all, therefore, I am wondering if it comes down to device profile and/or dialer and phone setting functions that are preventing me from achieving this.
Any help would be awesome. My dream is to do SIP (or Hangouts) calling over data, and stream EVERYTHING over bluetooth with no restrictions, one device to rule them all, out and about, in the car, at work, or simply on the couch.
Thanks again, your work is greatly appreciated.

GwT is an experimental AOSP build for the N73G and N7LTE Nexus tablets for those wanting to stay as close to the intended Google Experience as possible. *SMS and MMS are fully functional as is tethering. *This ROM is slim with no bloat or non experience apps loaded and should serve well as a daily driver or as a base ROM for theming / framework hacks when the modder doesn't want to go through the trouble to create their own full build.

SMS/MMS related question, since you seem to be the only one with it working in a KitKat ROM.
Do you have any idea how one might go about enabling this feature in the official 4.4 build? There seems to be a limitation in the stock telephony apk that prevents the option to set a default client form being exposed. Do you think replacing the telephony apk/odex from stock with the one from your rom here would be sufficient or would additional modifications be required?
If you mean SMS function, this is working fine on stock rom. Only need is installing a SMS app like 8sms ( www.8s.ms)
I've used a BT headset successfully with SIP calls. It presents both the phone and media profiles to connecting devices but can be a little buggy. There is very likely additional mapping opportunities... I simply haven't covered all scenarios yet with the LTE version.
Regarding framework jars its a bit bigger than just telephony but you are on the right track. There is also a BT connect bug that you'd need to hack via smali or is it smil? Far too many techs and acronyms floating around in my brain. Your approach is where I started last year and once I got an idea of the extent of it it was a lot easier to just build my own ROM .

No, no it doesn't not on the official google build. The option to set an app as the default SMS app is missing, and this results in 8SMS being "disabled".
Thanks for the reply. I guess my question is really this... With the native dialer (phone.apk and it's settings exposed) does this allow the Bluetooth stack in the Rom to enable the hands free profile (HPF) contained in the current Android version? I have researched that this function is tied to the dialer and it's presence. That is why tablets so far cannot enable audio for calling functions. If it does, my problems are solved, as well as many others installing in their cars. If not, would it be possible to do, and would you have any interest in trying to enable it? I truly think this is as best as we will get for in car calling over sip/data using a car stereo to stream and/or even sip/data calls using a regular headset if need be.
Thanks again for responding.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
All I can tell you is to try it. My N7LTE replaced my N73G in my car but I spend very little time trying to actually use it as a sip phone because my actual phone is usually easier to reach than the tablet.
I use mms/SMS quite a bit (my wife has gotten into the habit of texting my car to ascertain my whereabouts) and the hands free profile works perfectly with my grom.
If you come across any bugs or limitations I'll be more than happy to research, and very likely address, them like I did on GwT for the original N73G.
I have just enough time to make the framework changes and run the builds.... It is your job to test and provide feedback

I'm downloading 4.4_r1.1 now ... will likely have a new release out by the end of the weekend. I'm very curious to see how Launcher3 (Google Experience Launcher) is behaving in our "official" release.

Miui
v5
First Unofficial Beta Release of Miui v5 for the Verizon HTC Droid DNA.
This was made using the Miui patchrom method, with Aosp/CM source code.
This first release, includes a mostly stock based Aosp kernel.
I have also included WSM Tools, which is the miui based Xposed equivalent.
I will also post a motion gesture enabled kernel in post 2 or 3 later.
Features:

Live icons:Email, Weather, Data Usage and Calendar icons push information to the launcher. Check the current weather, number of pending emails, and remaining data on yourcarrier plan without clicking into any application.
Beautiful weather icons: Different icon graphics for different weather conditions.
MiSpace added features: Launched 6 months ago, MiSpace breaks free from the traditional grid layout. Now, it continues to break these boundaries by adding in new features. Allocate icons where you want in the ‘space’ and assign and place additional icons where needed. Even add third party widgets in to your ‘space’. MiSpace is unique to MIUI, unlike any other ROMs out there.
Messaging now comes with a slew of new functions: Users can utilize functions such as timed messaging and pin message conversations to ensure they remain on top.
Find and call your contacts quicker: New tabs and format in the Phone and Contacts application allow users to quickly find and dial contacts.
Clock, Calendar and Compass Refreshed look: Revamped images and modifications provide a totally new experience.
[*]Camera application now comes with simple or professional mode: Users have the choice of a hassle-free, simple point-and-shoot mode or professional mode with more new features that ensures you capture captivating pictures.
Music apps more visually appealing: MIUI ensures its ROM continues to be visually appealing even when listening to music. ‘Now playing’ feature displays album cover in full screen.
Weather now comes with weather trends: Now users can see the weather forecast’s high and low trends for the next 5 days.
Mi Wallpaper: Launching a new category in the wall paper section, MIUI users will soon see more creative live wallpapers to download and enjoy.
The best MIUI ROM developed so far, MIUI V5 helps user fully utilize the Android based phone and ultimately, redefine Android. MIUI will continue to bring weekly updates to the ROM to fix bugs and improvements. Note, as this is a beta version it may be still a bit buggy.
Known Issues:
GPS:
You must first get a lock on a Sense based rom before flashing, to gain a lock in Miui.
Mms:
The miui message app will not send/receive Mms.
Use the included Vzw Messaging for Mms functionality.
Network/4G:
You will need to switch to Global mode or Cdma/Evdo/LTE mode in network settings after each reboot for 4G.
As it defaults to CDMA(3G/1x) upon reboot.

FAQ
Enabling Superuser:
Security Icon on home page > Permission > Root permission (allow apps to get root permission)
Disable Downloading large apps via wifi only:
Go to Tools Folder > Downloads > Tap Settings icon @ top right > Set limit to Unlimited or whatever size you prefer (current is 1MB.)
That removes the limitation for downloading and updating apps using network data. (no longer have to use wifi only)
Reboot:
It will restart and show the splash screen twice before actually restarting and going into the boot animation.
It doesn't effect anything, other then taking a moment longer for a reboot.
Will try and improve this in an update.
Play Store:
I've included the latest Material Design Play Store.
If after first sign in, it just spins the loading wheel and doesn't load, open recent apps and close out the Play Store.
Now when you open it again, you should get the agreement prompt and should be good to go.
A reboot after this is also good, so that it can load the list of currently installed apps.

What error?
Paid or free version?
Have you rebooted since install?
I just installed it fine, although I never use it.
I also just tested paid apps again and they are also working fine.
Any more details about your "error"?
The free version gives me an error saying the site timed out

Some things won't.
As Miui v5 exists in JB flavor as well, which is what that module was initially made for.
JB handles some system resources differently for status bar then kitkat does.
So some of the coloring stuff won't work, maybe more.
Clock position still works, font style (bold, italic, etc)
Network speed works (shows in pulldown)
But you're right, some of the items in that module don't have any effect on kitkat.
I put it in /data/app so users could uninstall if they didn't find it useful also.
Santod thanks for the help and the rom. i tried everything including rewiping and flashing, but still can not get any tools to work. no biggie, just playing with Miui until there is snother sense 6 update. you are a machine bro, thanks

A big hello to everyone seems to be the right words to start with.
A couple of weeks ago i've decided to say goodbye to HTC after many years and got my hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Running around with a stock version felt bad so i've started flashing custom roms within 2 hours after unboxing it. After flashing many of the custom roms i started working on a pesonal rom and started off with the DevBase by ALEXNDR and went on until i had a stable deodexed version with just those tiny changes to make my day. Now i think it's time to share the rom and find out what all of you think about it. Don`t forget i`m new to the world of Samsung and learning every single day, don`t expect high class development at first, it will get better as we roll.
Main goal of this thread and rom is to create a smooth and most of all stable rom that is friendly towards the battery, there's enought higly developed roms out there for those that seek all the extra`s for their daily driver. I will start providing flashable zips containing fixes, mods and add-ons once i get to know my way around the N4 and Samsungs way of buiding their roms.
Please read all the info posted in this thread before flashing! Make sure you know what you're doing just to be on the safe side. Before posting anything i have tested and flashed it many times but this doesn`t mean there is no risk involved in flashing my work. I'm not responsible for bricked devices or other issues you may face after flashing my work! Keep this in mind when you decide to flash anything provided in this thread.
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOD2 and Project N4 B1.1:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options
- pushed device overall volume a little less compared to B1.0
- Added Modded Camera
- Added Modded Telecom.apk removing ascending ringtone volume
- Cleaned the app list without loosing functionality
- Added Latest AdBlocking hosts file
- Added Memory Leak Fix ( thanks to robocik )
Note:
You'll need the latest modem and bootloader files to run this rom, if you`re running the wrong versions you`ll end up in a bootloop! The proper modem and bootloader files can be found in the download folder along with the Rom zip. I trust you all know how to use Odin in order to flash them
Changelog between ALEXANDR's DevBase BOC5 and Project N4 B1.0:
- Fully Deodexed
- Added 5 way Reboot options

None as far as i know, so please share if you find one.
Always make sure you're running latest bootloader and modem before flashing this rom to prevent bootloop.
Also make sure you're running latest TWRP of CWM recovery.
Download the rom zip file and check MD5 checksum.
Copy the rom zip file to your (ext.) storage.
Reboot in to recovery and flash the rom zip file.
When flashing is done reboot your device and wait patiently untill the boot finishes ( This can take a while ).
When you're on stock before flashing this no wipe is needed for a safe flash, if you're running a different rom
or when you do run in to trouble a wipe in recovery will save your day,

@LeeDroid just for being my friend, tutor and master in development.
@The Great Dane for becomming my friend and putting up with me even in the darkers hours. Thank you for seeing the things the way i see them and backing me up in times of need!
Since this is based on ALEXANDR DevBase all additional options also go for this rom. Visit his thread and thank him for his hard work! Below i copy/pasted the additional features ( i know i`m lazy ) hoping he won`t mind. Please let me know if you do mind my lazyness so i can remove the text below.
Additional info that comes with this ALEXNDR.N910FXXU1BOC5 based rom:
1. Base:
- Multi CSC (list of natively supported CSC as above) (*)
- Removed KNOX (apps, agent, container, etc..)
- Rooted (SuperSU 2.46 app + binary), BusyBox 1.23.1
- Odexed (original, untouched framework & apps)
- All original features are present and works
- Able to write to extSdCard by all applications
- No visual changes (100% stock look)
- Stock kernel
- Safe De-Bloated (more info below)What does it mean and why is it called "safe"?
- ONLY apps available in stores are removed from DevBase, so you can easy (re)install any of these app if you like
- ONLY pre-installed system apps are removed, DevBase installer never touch any updated app nor app installed manually from store
Thus, the following conclusions can be drawn:
1. If you install my DevBase directly over stock ROM without performing "Wipe data" - in most cases almost all these apps will remain untouched, because almost all apps have been updated already (stored on /data). But then you will be able to remove any useless app using the "Application manager", like any other app. Removed manually app will not appear again until you use my DevBase while updating.
2. If you perform "Wipe data" while installing my DevBase - then all apps listed below will be removed. If you would like to use any of these apps - just install it manually from appropriate store. Installed manually app will not be removed during the next DevBase update.
Removed apps list:
Chrome
Drive
Dropbox
Evernote
Facebook
FB Messenger
FB Pages Manager
Flipboard
Google+ / Photos
Hangouts
Instagram
PEN.UP
Play Books
Play Games
Play Movies
Play Music
Play Newsstand
Smart Remote
WhatsApp
2. Init.d Support (*):
- Init.d support without need of use custom kernel (details)
3. CscFeature MOD (*) (enabled some built-in, hidden features):
- Added shutter sound menu in Camera
- Sending/receiving MMS without data on
- Added "Exit Internet" option to stock browser
- Added call button in Phone Logs
- Added "Call/Message block" option in Settings
- Added symbols as secondary keys in Samsung keyboard
- Call Recording (manual control, added "Record" button)
(*) - these options can be controlled by editing options.prop file (you can find such file in ZIP's root directory). Just place modified options.prop file (use e.g. Notepad++ to edit) in the root directory of internal emulated scdard (/data/media/0) or extSdCard (recommended if you plan to format internal emulated sdcard) and then start the installation.
Footnote:
After being around in the HTC corners of XDA it`s very nice to find out how kind the developers are within the Note 4 section of our beloved forums! Didn`t expect to meet so many nice people after having my share of "*****fights" in the HTC section. I do hope to make some new friends on this side, and will never forget the few friends that sticked with me in the HTC section.

If only I could, HTC features all hang on HTC Framework and Launcher so I don't think we've got much chance of porting it to the Note 4.

I will as soon as I update the rom, still hoping to get some feedback to find out if the rom is also stable and smooth for others.
Thanks for your great job!
Could you please add volume buttons skip tracks function?
I think that would be amazing, nobody did it until now and it's something very useful.
Cheers.

Here are flashable versions of the stock Moto X Style & Pure ROMs built from the factory images using SuperR's Kitchen.
No modifications of any kind were done to them, except for the deodexed versions, which were created from the odexed images.
V2 update: Deodexed versions of the stock ROMs have been updated to v2, which include current Google Apps,
and should resolve random closing issues.
Installation:
Custom recovery (TWRP) is required.
If you are already on stock:
Factory reset (not needed, but recommended)
Flash your desired stock version. BE SURE TO GET THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR PHONE MODEL!
For root, download SuperSU and flash it.
For Xposed, download and flash Xposed Framework too (flash "xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip" in recovery and install "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk".)
Reboot.
If you are on another ROM (ex. CM, Slim, etc.):
Factory reset
Flash your desired stock version. BE SURE TO GET THE CORRECT ONE FOR YOUR PHONE MODEL!
For root, download SuperSU and flash it.
For Xposed, download and flash Xposed Framework too (flash "xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip" in recovery and install "XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk".)
Reboot.

If using the deodexed version: during boot after a fresh factory reset, give it about 3-5 minutes. After that, the screen will go black for almost a minute, followed by the boot animation playing again. I'm not sure why it does that, but after that hiccup, the ROM will work fine as if nothing happened.

Semi-stock ROM (personal build)
for Moto X Pure (X1575)
Android version: 5.1.1 | Build: LPH23.116-18
Last updated: 11-02-2015
Here is a personal build of mine that is tweaked the way I believe it should be.
Although most are minor changes, and nothing awesome like Cataclysm for Nexus 5, it is enough for me to enjoy the ROM more and fix what Motorola missed.
This is for the Pure (X1575) only!
What's in my semi-stock build?
Deodexed
Busybox
Fully compatible with Android Pay
NOTE 1: If Android Pay did not work for you, even on complete stock, it will not magically work on this build either.
NOTE 2: Before using Android Pay, disable SuperSU in the app's settings first. After you are done making your transaction, re-enable SuperSU.
Screenshots of Android Pay in action earlier today (as of 10-20-2015) when I went to buy a $25 Google Play Gift Card using my Google Wallet card on this ROM.
ViPER4Android FX included and preconfigured with super audio driver
Configuring ViPER4Android FX:
Be sure to either set the kernel to permissive using an app like SELinux Changer, or use a Tasker task to allow ViPER to run in enforcing.
Disable the stock Audio Effects setting under Settings > Sound & notification > Audio Effects.
Set V4A to compatible mode.

1. Make a backup of your apps using Titanium Backup or the like.
2. Factory reset to ensure of no issue
3. Flash the semi-stock ROM

Quick question how is your battery life on your semi stock rom, based on your personal experience.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
I have been trying to get mine to be able to boot. Awesome job...
This is not a CM based rom.. and layers requires AOSP type rom's..
Can't get exposed to install properly per your instructions. Downloaded many times. Installs through recovery but states its not been installed in installer app. Modules say they require brige version 2 for greenify and 54 for apm+ mods. Never seen these errors and I have been running exposed since inception.
FYI if you guys want viper to work under normal mode flash extreme music mod it works for me on stock I don't know what's the difference but its working. For about a month now.
I use Dolby atmos along with it and works nicely together.

Flashed deodex version on 1572 and it went through the boot animation but stuck on the Motorola screen and wouldn't boot in to the system.

Guess I will have to wait for 6.0 to get layers support.

The deodexed version is for the Pure Edition XT1575 only.
Edit - I should be more specific... The custom one is for XT1575 only. Is that what you flashed?
some weird behavior on deodexed rom - can't turn on volte provisioning flag (yes works on my stock backup) everytime phone boots drive, slides etc.. apps run for 1 sec and get closed kind of weird.
I will have to go back to my backup for now I was hoping this would work :/
Here is how I tried to manually turn it on and it did not allow me.
*#*#4636#*#*
then phone and turn on volte provisioning flag.
on stock moto volte of course works and I can turn on/off the flag. Hopefully you can fix this so I can flash back thank you

I get around 4 1/2 to 5 hours on light use, which consists of listening to music with few short calls and some browsing.

I'll have to check that out and see what they change on ROMs to get it working on Normal mode. I've been wanting to use that mode again for a while.

If you're doing a clean wipe and are using the deodexed version, let it sit on the Moto boot animation for about 3 to 5 minutes. The screen will then go black for a minute, followed by the boot animation playing again. I don't know why it does that, but afterwards it'll boot up fine.

Sounds like something went wrong while deodexing the Google Apps. I'll upload the deodexed versions with updated GApps.
As for VoLTE, I'm on T-Mobile and it's on by default, but I can't turn it off.

Your modified version is running great with the new stock kernel that was released. Thanks!

The current APKTool (2.0.2 as of this post) could be the cause at the moment. I will update the deodexed versions again once a newer build of it is released.
V2 versions of the deodexed stock ROMs are being uploaded to AFH first to (hopefully) fix the random closing issues of Google Apps by replacing them with up-to-date versions of each app.
I will add them to OP during class as it doesn't look like they'll finish before I leave out again.
