Hi all,
So I have a little problem. I Sim unlocked my bosses s3 by rooting with the gs3 toolkit then using a Sim unlock app. I then went to bed and bright his fone back to him. he then tells me he doesn't want it rooted so I used ez unlock to relock the bootloader differing to flash stock recovery first... Oops!
Can someone give me links for stock recovery and tell me how to do it using Odin please?
I really like my job, don't want to lose it over this!
Thank you

I originally bought this phone when it first dropped and was able to unlock my bootloader and root my device but i went back to my SIII for a while and gave this one to my girlfriend (huge mistake). I unrooted and relocked the bootloader before giving her the device, of course when the ota's popped up she took it and installed it. I just got the phone back yesterday and it actually looks like the newest ota has also been pushed and installed to the phone. My question is (which is probably a no) since i have rooted and unlocked before can i do it again or am i screwed waiting for a method? Ive spent a better half of my morning searching these threads for an answer but had no luck so im sorry if this has been asked a million times.
Thanks in advance.
Since you already have your unlock token you can unlock like you did the first time.
Really? So I can unlock and root no problem?

did you unlock through service mode? if so there are chances that your could have corrupted your phone IMEI, PM me if you still need help on fixing it..
I don't know if this is the right place to post this. I think we should pool our efforts and provide a collective bounty to a dev that can successfully unlock the bootloader without having to flash 20b euro kdz.
I will start by officially offering $25. Come on, guys... we can do this.
UPDATE: Here is the total so far....
Me: $25
fastwanabe: $25
jpeterson066 $20
Total: $70

Nice to see somebody stepping up to put their money towards this. Since there's no development here, I think this will probably be moved to the general section.
Anyways, if somebody could figure out a way to automatically flash the European ICS firmware followed by the JB firmware, unlocking the boot loader would be as easy as enabling USB debugging then waiting 30 minutes, then inputting the OEM unlock code.
Even better, if a talented developer could reverse engineer the lg KDZ flashing tool like other developers did with ODIN, unlocking the boot loader and unbricking a soft brick would be so much easier.

I can reverse engineer the kdz tool ... not sure what changes I can accomplish (depending how much is encrypted, binary etc) but I will look into it.

I'm going to try to unlock the boot loader using fast boot and nandroids instead of kdz files. With help from Kuma

The problem with offering money for this is, in a month or two when there's an easier method, you would've already successfully unlocked its boot loader because you did sufficient research and you didn't give up after you failed a few times. Granted some of the tutorials could be rewritten or simplified, I know the one I used was written in horrible English by an Indian fella and it took me a while.

Wonder if what I posted in another thread could be done. Porting djrbliss's Loki to our phone. I looked over it earlier on his git and its only for aboot images (no u) but it could still apply. I linked in the other thread to a very informative link about porting Loki (titled tried to port Loki and failed). Maybe somebody can ask him if he believes it would also work with u images and if its OK for us to try and port it....

@omgbossis21, if my next attempt at unlocking fails, maybe we can donate our phones to the guy from "Will It Blend?"....lol.

I didn't. It took me quite a bit of research and also quite a good number of tries using the resources that are at your disposal as we speak.

I'm new to the device and I've seen a few things unfamiliar to me such as GEEB & Geespr...I googled GEEB and only came across ROM threads with GEEB in the title. I've checked all the threads for the device hoping to find a clear definition. I couldn't find anything, so what is GEEB and Geespr ?

Short answer. You want to use geeb since you have att/e970. Geespr is sprint/ls970.

Well hey thank you...I appreciate that...also I've been thinking a lot about unlocking the bootloader, I've realized an user has created an app just for that purpose. Is there any reason I should want to unlock it ? What are your thoughts

Unlocking is required before bloatware can be removed, also needed for installing recovery used to flash custom ROMs. If you bloat is removed without unlocking you will get security error soft brick upon reboot needing lgnpst to restore.
Phones rooted, was running pa beta 6 but switched to m3 snapshot...I came from the GNote and that phone didn't have an unlocked bootloader either. The only phone I ever bootliad unlocked was way back in the day when I had a HTC g1
