CWM Not Working, Please Advise... - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

I'm currently on stock 4.2 and Firmware 532, rooted.
After hours of attempting to run Clock Work Mod, it refuses to open...
I've tried different versions and cannot seem to launch it when booting up...
Could someone please guide me on an alternative way to run CWM on a rooted 4.2.2 Firmware 532?
Thanks in advance...

It worked, thank you very much. I guess the previous versions I tried were for unlocked bootloaders only...

[Q] Note 2 help with casual

Casual will not work.
My phone got bootlooped with the OTA update and I have been trying to fix it. All I can get to is the custom rom download. The system reset will not work. I have tried multiple firmware flashes with ODIN. Can someone please help.
Thanks,

if it is 4.3 ota casual won't work. 4.3 doesn't have a way currently to unlock the bootloader unless something changed in this past week.

Custom Recovery for Stock 4.3 (rooted)

Hey I was just wondering if it's possible to install a custom recovery while retaining the stock 4.3 firmware (rooted)?
I tried a couple of times but kept putting it into bootloops, so any direction is VERY welcome. Thanks much.

Unlocked bootloader, sorry should have included that in the OP.
Ok so install @Nut XZDualRecovery from your computer --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606, you will find specific tabletZ dual recovery in his repository ( last one is TabZ-lockeddualrecovery2.7.86-BETA.installer.zip).

[Q] IMEI change

Hello
There is probably some thread already going on about this, but there's too much information i can't locate exactly what i'm looking for.
So my apologies in advance for bringing this up again.
My problem is my IMEI nr changed to 0049.... after i flashed the latest version of Omnirom on my Galaxy S3 I9300, and now i can't make any phonecalls nor receive text messages. Wifi seems to be working. Before it was running smoothly with Cyanogenmod.
So can someone please give me a step by step solution to fix this sjit? Or redirect me to the correct thread, or whatever that can get this issue solved?
I'm surely willing to donate to whoever helps me out.
Big thanks in advance!:good:

What i meant was if the phone needed to be rooted before flashing the firmware...
Meanwhile i flashed it, but i seems to be stuck on the Samsung-screen loader. Before that all apps were updated, but still stuck now loading....
Any more suggestions?
Yes: Boot into Recovery. This must be StockRecovery, otherwise your flash failed. Then do FactoryReset.

[Q] Error on installing Lollipop rom

Hi Guys!
Is there any soul who can help me out?
I have a SGP321 Tab Z version with stock 4.4 on it, and rooted with towelroot (i guess this is the name!)
Every single update i've done since initial version 4.1 had been without any problems and all by OTA.
Now, after downloading the latest version, after click install button, i get a message box telling me that the tablet will restart and will take some 41 minutes to do the job. OK then, it reboots, but after one or two minutes max, it reboots again and nothing done. Then on the notification bar i get a message saying that the update failed and i should do it again.
Well Mates, after 5 tries i gave up?
Maybe someone have had a problem like this one??
Might have something to do with the root method?? I really can't figure out....
Thanks for your kind help in advance.

To tell long story short, it is because you are rooted. Before applying OTA device checks system files for modifications and stops install if it finds one. Root as you know is a modification.
So, any suggestion?
What should i do?
Thanks, again

Sorry to bother again, but on the second link you provided, something have frightened me:
"...Unfortunately, XZDualRecovery isn't working for TabZ with Lollipop at the moment.
That's why it is not included..."
So, will it work?

Root

I mean is there any possible way to root this device? I tried flashing SuperSU, didn't work. Then I tried flashing the systemmode SuperSU, got stuck in the bootloader warning text. I also tried some pre rooted Roms from the forum.. and they just won't boot. What am I missing here..??

I didn't. I had no clue what it was. I just flash recovery n install the SuperSU file with it on other phones.
Now I'll try rooting it once the nougat arrives.

Nougat could introduce more issues (e.g. Xposed doesn't work with Nougat as of today... Magisk & SuperSU... who knows?) but in theory steps should be the same...
More: this is unknown to most (and I don't have a clear explanation for it... only some hypothesis...) but even TWRP could have issues...
On another phone I've found (only one time to be honest... ) that an updated firmware required an updated TWRP to have it working (older one simply doesn't booted anymore even if reflashed...)

I don't like OTAs at all... I'll prefer going with flashing full images by fastboot (if stock images) or TWRP (if custom ROMs or zip flashable version of stock images...).
They are safer and cleaner than OTAs...

@enetec
Are you able to restore all the changes you made to /system, to successfully install the next OTA-update?
Or you just reflash the whole stock image before the next ota?

Probably it could be possible to restore all as stock from my backups, but I will surely update (when I'll decide to...) using fastload or TWRP (depending of image formats...) as you said...
