I'm trying to use Bionic internationally and currently I'm not able to use it successfully after doing the band unlock using NV item 1877. Could someone please provide me with RF NV item dump using DFS or similar tool for Droid Razr? I want to try and use it on Bionic hoping that RF calibration data for GSM bands would help me use it on international GSM bands. You may start the NV dump from 551(0227 hex) so that IMEI item(550) is not part of it. There is no other sensitive information.
Something similar has been tried on HTC Rezound here:

Hey everyone,
After finally getting my S3 I wanted to check out some stuff in QPST, but I can't seem to get the phone to be properly recognized by the program.
I was able to use the dialer code *#7284# to get into PhoneUtil but I'm not exactly sure what to do from there. It won't let me set UART to modem and I'm not sure which option to set it to under "USB," but I was able to get the computer and QPST to recognize the phone as modem-serial thingy in a COM port.
QPST sees it but a question mark shows up under the phone column and I can't see anything for it in "service programming."
Thanks in advance!
Which version or company is you're gs3 from... I used ##3424# brought me to phone utl. chose first option cdma modem, I haven't tried qpst but read somewhere that 266v is the one to use.. I will update with you in a few to let you know if I was able to connect and read phone!
Use the debug + modem setting, you can read phone and get some info but Not the akey with cdma workshop. That is obtained another way...........
Thanks, this was before I tried CDMA Workshop, which actually works.
It would be nice getting it to work in QPST too, though...

I'm on vacation so I can't go home and tell you and I don't remember, sorry.

The only on I can get to recognize the Slll is QPST 2.7 Built 3.74 but when you try to read it, it stops in the middle of it and gives an error message.
cdma ws sees/reads, but i suspect the drivers arent correct because only limited functionality with that program
I was able to read the nv items 465, 466, 1192, and 1194 using efs browser in QPST 2.7 Build 378 setup on a Windows XP machine. Then I used CDMA Workshop 3.8.0 to change what I needed to change.

wouldnt that include the personal info? why didnt you backup that range before writing to it?
I know I was dumb for not doing that i did a backup on CW thinking that backup would include those files but tried to go back to that backup and still having the same issue signal goes on and off couple seconds after phone resets by itself unless i put it on airplane mode
I'm in need of an alternative to CDMA workshop. I need to be able to re-write the IMEI and all of that info to my phone. Any ideas? No this is not for cloning, this is to fix mine.
I have a stock s4 from US Cell that I just got today. I have flashed a few s3's to boost and was told it was the same process. After hours of research and a few lines in command prompt I was able to get into DM mode and was able to have workshop (cracked addition) and DFS free to be able to read and right. I know my SPC and have the correct password.
I was able to successfully fix the ESN of the S4 and then I tried to write the NV item 465 and 466 it said 0 files where written successfully. When I tried to put in the info for the data nothing seems to stick in DFS including the PRL so I am kind of at a loss.
Anyone please let me know what I am doing wrong so that I can get this s4 up and running on boost?
Does anyone know if any custom rom will help? Also when picking a custom rom should I look for a sprint one since i am flashing to boost or should I look for a us cell since that is the phone type

3.install qualcomm driver .(google it) and write mi5.qcn file
with the help of qpst software after dialing (*#*#717717#*#*)to
enter diag mode.
4.change the value of line 06828 (lte_bc_config) to 2061853925599

after that restart the phone as regular restart.i personally
tested this on my mi5 64 gb there is no need to root the device
cause you found signal that is important even not to see what lte
bands are working after follow this....
this is only my hard work not a copy of any other person from
this and other forum, and all credit goes to me only lol>>..
if you want lte band of your choice then plz. use nv calculator
to find your suit.and replace with value of step no. 4, any doubt please ask.
Tried it but doesn't work - I only see LTE band 7 as before. Can you post screenshots in an app like Network Signal Guru?
Hm, it's interesting, but can you share some evidence of your work? Like Signal Guru screen and overall explanation?
I Would try that after some proofing screenshot.

Can you include your rom version? I think this work for developer rom while most global isnt supported.
hi OP, any screenshot proof?

Hi All,
I stay in Pune and Vodafone 4G never worked for me as 3s Prime (Land) doess not support LTE Band B1 (2100mhz). I thinks its same issue with other states like Chennai as well. Not sure though.
I referred to many guides to unlock LTE band which I did but still it never worked.
Luckyli a thread by @bharatg http://en.miui.com/thread-299779-1-1.html caught my attention. In that thread there is a QCN file backup for IDO.
I tried it and it worked for me. Vodafone 4G is now compatible with my 3S Prime. Several other bands are also unlcoked which makes it a global phone now (not fully but almost). All credits goes to @bharatg and "Thanks to @RR_30 for helping me with the QCN file. Also Thanks to @candicesu and @technoking2020" as mentioned in his thread.
Step 1) Root required (Only required for Network Signal Guru app which we will use later to activate and lock LTE B1)
Follow the guide linked above. All steps must be followed. Don't disconnect phone from QPST until it confirms restore is completed. Bcoz, it will say 100% but it take a minute or two more after it show 100%.
Once completed, reboot phone and open network signal guru app. Click on Lock bands option, select LTE and you will see several bands are now activated. CLick on first option that is LTE 2100 B1. Click ok to confrim.
Profit: Vodafone 4G will now be detected. Turly this will be a global phone.
So, we can use Redmi 3 (IDO) QCN file to unlock our Redmi 3S (LAND) band?
Anyway, thank you, will try it (just to unlock, my country use the other band which is pre-activated by Xiaomi, so no need to unlock actually)
hello. i need to unlock LTE Band 4 AWS (1700/2100Mhz) on my Redmi 3S 2016030 . can you please tell me if this method unlock that band?
Followed each and every step, now my device shows NO SIGNAL in both the sim slots! Forget about 4G, not even 2G works now...

There must be a misconfiguration when you're doing this tutorial.
Maybe you can try this to revive your signal : http://en.miui.com/thread-315019-1-1.html | http://www.mediafire.com/download/0k35nqs1ga1bc85/Xiaomi_Redmi_3s_QCN_File_IMEI_800000000000000.rar
That worked!

Please explain how did you revive your phone signal in detail ....as it would be helpful for me as i am facing the same problem on my device redmi 3s prime
Interesting topic, thanks for resurrecting it, I hadn't seen it.
Is there any way of unlocking the LTE band while keeping my original IMEI? Thanks
CAUTION!!!: The method described DOES NOT work and will get your phone unable to call or use mobile data. I was trying to unlock bands to see if I could activate the LTE 800 band but luckily I first created a backup of my qcn file before attempting to install the qcn provided.
I was able to restore it and recover signal. Some mod please LOCK or ERASE this thread, I can see people turning their phones into a Wi-Fi only minitablet doing this.
Anyway, B1 (LTE 2100) should work in every 3s. B20 (LTE 800) works fine in my phone (as it is international version).

Yes the B1 band is available in the Chinese version too. B20 is absent for I haven't had any problems so far in Spain.

How did u backed up your qcn?
It was very intuitive, if you follow the exact same steps as the guide that was linked in the OP, instead of restore you should choose the option to backup.
It's important to choose the file format .qcn . In any case, it's quite straightforward to do and I'm quite relieved I did. I'd like this phone to keep phoning a bit longer.
Use this guide and QCN https://xiaomifirmware.com/guides-and-tips/guide-how-to-restore-imei-on-redmi-3s-3x/
As mentioned in previous post take backup and then restore.
Tried and tested on 3S prime and it works
