Ahhh you didn't say AT&T

I am in CA, bay area and I got the update two days ago from at&t.
First was a small update of some kind then a 532mb update which brought my phone up to 2.2 and it has sense5

Strange I'm in CA also and nothing so far
And its 4.2.2
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app

That is strange.
Only thing I can add is my phone is still stock. Never rooted.
I dunno if that makes any difference. I'm still a noob with all this stuff.

I had to relock boot loader months back
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app

I just got the update notice on mine today. I'm rooted and unlocked but still on a mostly stock rom(at&t).
I'm still in the process of backing up everything but I plan on trying the update later this evening...will let you know how it turns out.

@gokun, you probably need to make sure you have a stock recovery and a relocked bootloader to receive that update. I'm pretty sure that's how the process goes even if you have a stock Rom.

Hadn't checked for area days. Checked yesterday and got it. It is 4.2.2 btw.

Yeah, you are correct. I ended up not doing it because I didn't want to update my hboot just yet. Instead I just installed a custom rom based on it(blackout). That option worked out better for me since I didn't want to go through all the headache.

Black screen camera

Ok so my camera used to work, im s-on rooted running a rom, camera app shows up, no preview and the buttons do
nothing. So, has any one had this and was able to fix it? What did you do? Any help would be appreciated.
And im a week beyond the 30 day warranty so no trading for a new one, and I don't really feel like sending it in to HTC
just yet.
You do know its one year warranty.

Yeah but I don't want to send it in. I was looking for a quick fix.
"Rooted running a rom"
That doesn't exactly help us help you.what Rom is it

Usually that is indicative of a non compatible kernel.

Unrooted and relocked bootloader, still no camera. Even did the latest RUU and no rear camera! will my htc warranty still
work since I did the htcdev unlock????????????????
If your still within your warranty time frame you should be fine. My last EVOLTE had major antenna issues and Sprint gave me a new one, even though it was rooted. And yes the tech knew it was rooted.

Ok but i'm out of my 30 day, so I'm stuck with the htc warranty. I called Htc and they said my warranty was fine. If they try to go into recovery, since I used HTCDEV will they just kick it back to me?? I don't know if some one will know this for sure, thought I would ask.

HTC One AT&T RUU

Anyone have the AT&T RUU? would like to go back to stock but my nandroid isn't flashing. Errors out. JMZ Rom works but some reason camera is having issues with zoes and videos.

just posted in another thread. is it worth it over the AT&T branded rom? data is running pretty sweet on my phone hate to mess with it
I really haven't had any issues with data. It shows me only 2 or 3 bars on LTE but I'm getting almost 30mb down using speedtest app

I like ARHD smooth as silk and everything just works. Plus the menu bar in the back button fixes my one annoyance with the AT&T Rom.

i had my last ONE replaced today. rushed to get my Unlock bin. debating on weather or not its worth the unlock at this moment. still wondering why there is no ATT RUU
Agree a bit scare every time i flash something with no way to go back to stock. My nandroid corrupted or something wont flash.
Flashing the deodexed version causes the video camera to crash. Flash the odexed version; I've had no problems.

ARHD is one amazing rom, i dont want to change it but im having bad speeds on LTE and around 1-2 bars, 3 being in the top of a mountain maybe.

[Q] T-mobile to GPE and warranty

I purchased, a T-mobile HTC One about 4 months ago, and converted the phone to the Google Edition including bootloader.
Now I found that the top grill (where the speaker is) is showing a gap, and I have about 3 dead pixels (they stay green and red all the time when the screen is on) Does anybody know how picky they are for replacements, and if I should restore to stock, or can I just send it back and they won't care about software mods?
You will definitely have to return the device to stock. I suggest relocking the BL, return to stock. So no red letters appear at the bottom during boot. I don't think the dive too much more then that.

Thanks, I will try the RUU from HTC and see how that goes. Do you happen to know what is the CID for Tmobile?
This is a little off topic sorry but I didn't want to make a new thread just for this. Recently switched to One from nexus 4 and I also converted T-Mobile HTC one to the gpe. Can I flash Roms from the international section on the T-Mobile device? It seems like they have the same hw

The international one has root and recovery already. I guess htc dev works to. Maybe us at&t users will luck out.
US carriers promised to lock things down tightly after the One came out. I guess we'll see.
Good thing i have a 14 day return period lol. Cant live without root.
do we know if this device has a locked bootloader that will be hard to crack or will they actually design it to be unlocked like sony does.
im trying to decide between m8 and z2, and i know sony has been cool in the past with allowing the phone to be easily rooted and unlocked to allow flashing. i am coming from a galaxy s4 with unlocked mdk bootloader but i am upgrading and i want to be able to mod my phone
did anyone try htc-dev or kingo?

I ordered an m8 to test our cases on, but the z2 is the one I'm really looking forward to. It will have to be amazing though for me to give up my Note 3 screen real estate!
Already. Unlocked bootloader via HTC Dev. AT&T must have forgot lol

Yes the att model can be unlocked through htcdev.com . Let's just hope ATT don't pull a VZW and yank it like they did with the M7!

Confirmed that htc dev unlocking works on att..
I would assume this voids your warranty with at&t and no relocking and going back to virgin status?

I'm just concerned because I may be moving to att next and at the end of my 12 month I can turn the phone in and upgrade to a new one and want to be able to relock it so I don't have an issue when giving it back to AT&T

I have returned quite a few phones that I have relocked and unrooted without one problem through warranty exchange. I'm not concerned with it at all and I am on the Next program as of this phone. Besides that, the warranty is up after the 1st year. This is just my experience and I can't speak for everyone.

He probably got the notification of the update. You will usually still get the notification and download even if you are rooted. But if you are on custom recovery, it won't install.
