Q: Why not use MyBackup Root for backups instead of Titanium? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I see in most threads Titanium is mentioned for apk backup purposes.
Is there any culprit with MyBackup?

If a product like TB works and is from a respected developer that's good enough for most users .

But anyone used MyBackup successfully?

I would also love to have a way to restore apps and folders the way I arranged them. I
Which launcher you are using?

Titanium does it.
TB does NOT back up layout.
Use Nandroid backup to restore data only .
But you may find some apps fc or do not work.

Titanium was great
Upon restoring you have to choose to install each app during the process but that's fine, a lot faster than installing from Market ^^
Titanium backup, choose backup my apps ,and then "tick" app only from menu and press GO!!

Batch App installer

I would be surprised if this wasn't already created but has anyone thought of a App that would work with google plays application list to install multiple apps at once? I think this would be Genius especially for those that fresh install a ROM every 3-4 updates. I find myself spending about an hour just installing all of my applications again.
I use titanium backup for that

Does it backup the data to the SD card? Because if you wipe everything on the phone, essentilay the app data from titanium would get removed as well and then your screwed again ahhaa

Ok, thanks

It might be a bit late but save your picture mail (if you have any) because the sms backup Danny recommended (that I also use myself ironically enough lol) doesn't backup mms

You should also consider using an alternate SMS app like Go SMS with build in backup function.
