[Q] Question on porting build.prop changes

I am currently playing around with customizing my own rom for personal use based of the plain de-odexed rom. I have added various packages like:
Camera mod
oc4 1.2 jac kernal
mobileAP
some custom themes and fonts
swype with voice icon
GPS files from leak
ect
My question is with all the main roms (eugene and Bionix) released there are always references to "Build.prop mods for better data throughput", how can I take JUST THOSE CHANGES and port them into my rom. Is it as simple as using abd pull and push with certain files? Do I need someone to make me a flashable zip package?
Also I noticed eugene in his latest build used a different camera and would love to try that is that just as simple as adb pull and pushing the camera apk?
Any help provided would be truly appreciated I am still kinda a noob.
Also just to be EXTREMELY clear this is only for my personal use and basic knowledge. I wish to take nothing away form the absolutely stellar work these guys do everyday, I simply have some different preferences then the main roms created and would love to learn to take the advantages of each rom and customize them to my own needs.
No one can help me out?
Should I ask in dev section as no one here seems to have any ideas?
I'm in same boat
I am doing the same.i noticed in bionix build.prop the symlinks. I like that.but he also references a "jit" did they port a jit? that would rock

[Q]Optimizing Stock Optimus Black ROM

I have Optimus Black, but since there are so few dev for this device at this time so I would like to learn and try build my own custom ROM from stock ROM, but I'm really new to this thing...
Is there anyone who can point me where to start from? I tried android kitchen before but it seem it's only add some minor feature to the stock ROM, I think it would be better if I understand how thinks work, so I can estimate what part I can optimized..... I really appreciate any help from you....

[Q] How hard is it to create a custom rom?

Hi,
I have flashed about 30 different ROMs to my SGS2 and I can't seem to find the perfect one. There's loads of different features of different ROMs that I like and I just wanna combine all my favorite features into my perfect ROM. I was just wondering how hard it is to create one and if I need special software and if there is a tutorial out there?
Thanks,
Yogi
If you don't like any of the roms posted grab the base one from the rom kitchen and add onto it a kernel and theme that you prefer.
Doesn't seem to be working

Well mate, if you keep flashing in that rate then after one year the number will be hundred and yet you won't find the one you need. Why not stick with a simple stock ROM? I mean seriously why ultimately we run (not me) for a Custom ROM? For some gimmicks, other than that what we get?
Anyway, if you still wanna flash another then do as the above user said, Kitchen ROM's are more or less good IMO.
You are already getting mad about ROMs, time to enjoy the device.....
Instead of thingking building your own ROM, why not first learn the tricks of modding... have your best Base then mod it with themes, scripts, kernels, moded apks, and etc, its a lot easier IMO...

UOT kitchen for making custom ROM's?

Hi there!
I'm just asking, why are there so few custom ROM's available at the moment? I'm thinking that, since we have this online UOT kitchen service?
Is there a problem making ROM's with UOT kitchen when it comes to this phone?
Because I would like to make ROM with UOT kitchen, but I'm not on unlocked bootloader, therefor no root and need the framework and Ui apk.
So what's up dev people?
you can only tweak so much with the uot. to really tweak out a rom it takes time.
I would think it's more to do with waiting for ics, then you might see the themers come alive.
i might tweak the phone a bit, this is what i did for my xperia play, you can see it here.
I will most likely add my tweaked htc keyboard as well you can see it here. hell it might already work. but i still need to unlock the bootloader and choose a base rom to use with my rogers version of the xperia s.

[Q] Beginner ROM developing/modification questions.

First of all, I have a few years experience of ROM, kernel flashing, rooting, etc. to differrent devices. I began interested in the developing itself, so I looked for guides. Found some very useful guides, but I feel I'm missing something.
I built my first ROM from source today for my G2, which is a CM11 ROM. My question is: Is it possible to combine the CM11 features and the stock LG ROM's features? I mean the stock LG applications like Quick Remote,LG Backup, and some UI elements for example. Is it possible? What would be better/easier, to add the LG features to CM ROM, or add the CM features to LG's ROM? If I'm asking stupid question sorry, but I'm newbie.
