Since we're updating frequently, making manual changelogs ain't possible anymore...
And also take note that although I am involved in the development of this ROM, but I do not own the device, so I might not be able to answer your device specific questions...

I'll give this ROM a whirl is good fun to try new ROMs in the early days and see them develop as time go's by, and will look forward to seeing you add PIE control when the time is right....
More than happy to do some testing for you I mite well find something that needs tweaking, as you don't own the device I hope my offer will be helpful to you
Lol...this ROM has been around for quite some time, but without a thread here...
Installed the ROM....looking nice so far :good:
Will give a detailed feedback in a day or two after using it
Seems very good with OTA updates... Downloading....
Yeah it's Tapatalk B****h
Is this ROM Art compatible? Also, are MoKee Gapps ART compatible?
Of course...
Unique Power Saver functions!
Which they are? Could I expect a better battery life as by other Roms?
Anyone a Screenshot of Battery Life?
Yes many many questions about Battery life its very important for me
When I moved from 4.2.2 to 4.3, I noticed extreme lag and stutter while browsing webpages and on apps like FB and Twitter. I was told that was because those ROMs were not built on Samsung's 4.3 core or something like that. Will I face the same problem with this ROM (or any other 4.4.2 ROM?).
I mostly interested in MoKee ROM, however. Looks the most 'sorted' of the lot!
Nice ROM. Will give feedback after 2 days of use

My review of the ROM
I wanted to try out KitKat ROM ever since CM11/Omni debuted on i9300. However when I looked at the threads, so many people were complaining about this or that not working, always had me changed my mind. No offense to hard working chefs of these ROM's obviously, I know there is development curve which aftermarket roms go through and normally also, these things don't bother me, however I've had kind of settled down with Ultima 15.1 sammy 4.1.2 based ROM which provides near AOSP like feel with a mix of samsung features, butter smooth performance and excellent battery life.
Anyway enough of background onto the review now, this is my first KitKat based ROM, which I'm trying out on my phone. I had installed the 01/26 nightly and I must say I'm impressed till now. The surprising lack of responses in this thread, kind of worked for the ROM for me as I didn't read any complaints for this ROM , hehe. The ROM is very fluid and haven't experienced any FCs/camera issues/any other issues so far. Bluetooth also works fine, however I did feel there is little reduction in range of BT headset, however not sure if its just a placebo, as I really had a bad time on CM10 roms.
Also I'm running ART which gives a warning that it is an experimental feature when enabled, but however it works quite well as already stated. Another feature which I really like was auto-brightness implementation and the already loaded profiles for it. They work very well and are quite customizable.
My biggest concern like the some above posters was battery , as I know performance is always great on non TW roms. I'll let the screenshots below do the talking.
I'm not a very heavy user of the phone, kind of medium light. My battery is samsung stock which came with the phone and is quite old now ~ about 1.5 years. Battery life is surely comparable to TW roms, if not better.
This is with I9300DDUGMK1 modem (which is baseband for India in ML4 ROM) and location off all the time (under GPS/network based/google apps). Normally NLP wakelocks are source of the biggest battery drain, so I had turned it off as precaution. Will benchmark with location on also in few days. Also this includes a idle period of around 8-9 hours (night time) when phone was not touched with WIFI off but mobile network/sync on (Whatsapp and Gmail).
Also I haven't restored any apps using titanium backup. I've heard in CM threads this can screw your battery life, especially whens apps restored are coming from Samsung ROM. Antutu scores look good too, although I'm not sure how other KK roms are fairing.
Thank you MoKee OS team and kudos to the Chef, for this nice ROM

One thing which I found missing was native way to take screenshots ? I don't know if its built in and I'm missing a shortcut, or its not there yet.

Well the Chinese apps are targeted at the China users as the ROM was based in China, it's useful to them (think of MIUI, but has vanilla Android looks+open source+maintained by freelancers (MIUI is a company, we are not though, we do this for free))...
Testing this rom, very good one.
Can i use beoffla CM kernel with this rom?
Phone not going into deepsleep, so 3% battery drain per hour during night (idle)
I will look for some solutions

Yes, Boeffla Kernel works fine!
Take this one Boeffla Kernel Stable
Using beoffla kernel from above link
Battery drain normal after reboot
Deepsleep working
Usb tethering not working sometimes, probably a problem with my pc

Does this rom have (or will have) Tiles per row option in quick settings?

20% in an hour, did it improve during the rest of the day? and what did you do with the phone in that hour? as 20% sounds like a lot, it would mean you need to recharge every 5 hours which seems like a bit much if you ask me
Really not bad. I was coming from omnirom 4.4.2, which is very similar to this one.
The only issues I faced:
- google keyboard did not appear while setting up google account (I had to install the apk of another keyboard that was in my sdcard, remove the apk in /system/app and reinstall it and now it works like a charm);
- for some reason I had a wakelock for android system, which was eating my phone's battery like a 10% an hour, but killing it and rebooting did the trick and now the rom is quite battery friendly.
I removed the apps in chinese (or Japanese? ) well, the ones in kanji, because I was unable to understand their goal, and turned the launcher to work in landscape too (via xposed module). I also changed the dpi of the dialer app for it to fit better while in multiwindow and I am very satisfied wuth this rom, which is very smooth.
Does Art work btw? I did not try myself because the xposed framework does not support it atm.
Good work
Ps: just to inform the other users, I see no halo atm, though I don't like it that much afterwards.
Art works

I don't know how significant it can be but, with a quite intense use, i.e. 3g plus wifi and GPS always on, gmail, exchange, cloudmagic and another client (pocketpec) 30 mails with attachments read or more and let's say 20 sent by me, phone calls lasting one hour or even longer, my battery in 14 hours and 35 minutes has so far gone from 100% to 19%.
With the same usage a 4.1.2 stock rom could save something like a 10% more, according to my own experience, so battery life is not that bad.
Regarding 4.3 stock roms, I have always used the deknoxed ones with the devil kernel and battery life is by far worse, unless you tweak the settings a bit.
Adding the Agni kernel significantly increases the battery life . even more so when you go in the kernel settings and adjust the governor . 16 hours of use on the latest nightly and I went down 15 %

I don't see why not. I just flashed it in T-Mobile note 2. Only problem I have is that keyboard fc. Trying to figure out a fix, if I should install the provided gapps.

Certainly, it's own gapps will fix that problem.
The last time i tried this ROM, I couldn't get the full screen (immersive) mode though. Also, I am not sure if headset (with mic) issues with 3rd party apps like Viber or Skype has been fixed. This similar issue is also present with CM.
Hey developers can you add transparency for notification drawer and quick settings tiles too? Also power widgets please port features from cm remix Rom they have a ton of features and still rock solid

VANIR 4.4.4 [UNOFFICIAL]
WARNING
This is a disclaimer: While this has been tested I am not responsible for ANY damage done to your device. I take no responsibility for bootloops, soft bricks, hard bricks, living brick monsters, your phone proving an omnipotent being fallible(thus negating all existence), your great aunt smoking bath salts, flying monkeys, hot pockets, obamacare, dingleberries, carnivorous dingleberries or Sundays. Your warranty is now void and it's your fault!Use at your own risk!!
Secondary disclaimer: If you have carnivorous dingleberries then you have bigger problems to worry about - but for any phone related questions feel free to message me on here either privately or in the thread.
FEATURES
Android KitKat 4.4.4
Fast and Buttery Smooth UI
Vanir Performance Settings
CM11 Themes Engine
CM File Manager
Torch
OmniSwitch
Immersive Mode
Numerous Interface mods for custom statusbar, navigationbar, navring, battery and more!
Power Reboot Menu
Vanir Keyboard
G3 Oversharpening Fix
And MANY MORE, just try it and see for yourself!!
Whats not working?
NFC - I hate you, NFC......
SD Cards bigger than 32gb's have issues - possible fix soon.
Probably wireless charging but have yet to test it.
And that's about it, everything else seems to be working - so you tell me, community. Minor bugs or glitches here and there mostly upon first or second boot but after that they work themselves out and never seem to happen again. For instance....
Welcome screen takes a second and then it MAY attempt to activate the phone - end this call and hit skip. It is pointless, will not work but also won't affect your ability to connect to the network or use your phone number.
Google Apps MAY have some issues on initial boot. If you are unable to connect via hangouts or download via playstore, go to settings->apps-> and delete data for google play services and google framework and then reboot.
Using Launcher3(Vanir's default Launcher), if you choose to get rid of the Google Search Bar it makes the delete and uninstall icons invisible. You can still remove apps from the homescreen but the X is invisible. It's weird and I'm working on a fix.
FULL INSTRUCTIONS
Download ROM and GAPPS to internal memory
Reboot into TWRP Recovery
Make a BACKUP(JUST IN CASE)
Go back to Main Menu and select Wipe->Advanced Wipe and select System, Data, Dalvik and Cache(DO NOT SELECT INTERNAL) and wipe.
Go back to Main Screen and select Install
Find Vanir zip, select it and install
Press back and install GAPPS
Reboot
PROFIT!
Special Note: On first boot, phone activation is pointless, simply end the call and then press skip - you will still be connected to the network, disregard the warnings(I'm working on a fix so you don't have to see that).

LOLLIPOP!!
MAJOR UPDATE!
LOLLIPOP HAS ARRIVED!!!
Using Vanir's Updater in About Phone you can update to Android 5.0 Lollipop! Expect there to still be bugs and a lack of features(FOR NOW). Always a good idea to make a nandroid before doing anything like this just in case. If you have issues please refer to the official Vanir Google+ page found HERE.
Also a good idea to download DHO GAPPS 5.0 found HERE just in case you need to flash it if google apps won't update correctly.
Now a personal word from me, please, if you decide to upgrade at this time and have issues, use the Google+ page posted above. FOR THE TIME BEING I WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD VANIR FOR KIT KAT - so any bugs found in Lollipop will be best discussed there and NOT in this forum. Use the Google+ page, please!
HAVE FUN GUYS AND FLASH SAFELY!

Quick question. Does the voice dialer work?
HPTesla, thanks so much for this. Used to run on my Nexus 5. Dl now & will report.
And thanks big time for giving us a 4.4.4 rom to have while cm12 & cm12 based roms come along.

One of my personal favorites! Thank you!
Awesome, I loved Vanir on my Galaxy Nexus! I am really enjoying seeing the Devs kick out a bunch of new roms! Keep up the good work!
This was one of my most 2 favorite ROMs for the evo lte. Great work..got excited when I saw TroNit's kernel, but now my excitement is far higher. Awesome sauce.

I'm glad to hear it, I've actually had this running for a few days but was trying to squash bugs before release. For instance in the original build, bluetooth wasn't working, the data indicator showed "roaming indicator off" instead of "sprint", turning the phone off and plugging in a charger just booted the phone instead of charging it and sdcard didn't work at all. I fixed all those but NFC still seems to be an issue for all of the AOSP roms. BTW - if you notice higher than average battery drain, check the nfc service and force close it - it shouldn't come back unless you turn it on. Initially I got 6+ hours of sot so battery life is impressive especially considering the smooth performance. Obviously results vary because I had issues with gapps others haven't but just an FYI. Everything else seems to run super smoothly.
Not bad for my first rom build. I had lots of help though lol.
installed before two hours everything is smooth no fc and really fast!!! works perfectly with the gsm cards full signal bars!!!
the only thing i personally want from the next update if possible off course is a bit louder sound for incoming calls!
GREAT JOB CONTINUE LIKE THAT!!!!

I am really Glad to see such Good Rom Brought to us by you guys, Till your team is here we can expect more AOSP Roms here, I would suggest If you could look into geting Mokee and Liquid Smooth and a Kernel for AOSP Roms. Our Device is very powerful but we are lacking behind in development, As I new to G3 I am learning things here.
Is it possible to add a "status bar pull down" button to the Home Touch Buttons on the bottom of the screen in this ROM?
Darn...small hands.

Nah man no way, pretty sure they died along with KitKat :silly:.
Charging current is still low, by a half compares to stock rom. Maximum is 700mah (while in stock is over 1100mah) at range from 1% to 50%, almost time is around 500mah, so it took me over 3hrs (3h40p exactly) to fully charge from 20%.
For locked bootloadee too?

Don't know exactly what I should reply on that. We used the CM Kernel for the Carbon Builds so I guess you get this problem on all CM based ROMs. You might want to try M5 Kernel, it has a option to enable fastcharge. Just watch out that you don't enable it when connection to a smaller charger / Your PCs USB port.

No, it' a CM based Custom ROM and needs a different Kernel than Stock in order to work, so it won't work on LB.

Can't compare for sure, but most likely it's not as good from what I've read - Sony uses closed source camera firmware that makes their camera performance this outstanding. Unlocking the bootloader automatically erases the DRM keys that unlock the high end features of the camera firmware, thus lowering picture quality. But as you have to unlock the BL to boot a non-stock kernel...

The only thing that stops me from moving permanently to this or cm roms is the camera and battery life. The quality is far from what you will have with stock. Performance is excellent though, Nice and fluid and fast with a lot to customise but in my opinion I'd rather stay on stock for the camera and battery life
I am trying to install this from TWRP, and am probably doing something stupid, but the install errors with "E:Error executing updater binary in zip "/External_SD blah blah.zip".
Any thoughts? TIA!
EDIT:
I found that by installing the M5 kernel I could sideload the rom via ADB. Must be something with the DualRecovery and your ROM?.... sorry if this is posted somewhere.

Wow wow wow!! Downloading this SUPER ROM!!!!
Hilarious... I was just going to make a thread about this being officially posted. I've been running exodus for close to a week... very nice and very original features (MORPH FTW). All Hail the exodus train.
Looks neat guys. Downloading now!
Edit: Here's the first impressions. Over all very good start!!
ROM is super snappy even with animations set at 1x.
No camera or music player included. Both can be installed from Play Store though
FM radio does not work which is a deal breaker
Phone gets really hot during the usage
Battery life is average. Like other AOSP ROMs.
Awesome rom!
Lite. Realy lite! Very fast!
Everything else you can find on google play.
Thank You, Exodus team!
Any suggestions for screen on/off? Kernel?

that has not been implemented and i'm pretty sure doesn't work reliably for 5.1. (for the m7 anyway... i've never had much success but i don't use them anymore).
very nice
Wow nice quick ROM... great work! Thanks
Couple of questions:
- Any plans to have a logo2menu type feature? ie: pressing just above the htc logo acts as another button, usually for menu
- How about including configuration for volume steps?
Thanks

-I don't expect that ever to come to exodus.... the mentality of this build (as the leader says) is in the 'true spirit of open source.' So if you want a feature, add it yourself. (by devs for devs). That being said as someone that used to think i couldn't live without this feature... I don't miss it anymore and it helped prevent accidental presses.
-gravitybox has this feature... but again not in stock
in general exodus is looking for speed and battery life...

Thanks for the reply and answering my questions.
Ideally, my preference is to avoid additional modding apps like Trickster (which enables logo2menu) and Gravity Box, etc. Would be nice to have these features built-in.
However, I understand the developer's philosophy here so no worries.

FFS rly? Why U Do This? I just nested comfortably on CM and there is a release of ROM that claims to be superior with people on G+ getting nerdgasms from how good experience is. It also provides new intriguing features like morph and individual approach to community with few devices maintained and wanting my logs . I feel completetly baited now and can't resist flashing... Another one of my flasholic re-lapses is on team EXODUS, anyway FLASHING TIME :3
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
PROS:
Quick and smooth, more responsive than CM
Built in debloating tool for apps
Comes with no AOSP bloat
Apps are installing super fast
Data transfer rate in status bar feature (super useful)
Re-organized settings (easier to navigate)
Morph feature (read more here), you won't use it tho since Exodus is so much better
Quirks:
Having to setup hardware buttons behaviour
One has to setup ring tone from none
Status bar welcome was annoying - until I disabled it
Rom updater marks older builds as "new"
BATTERY LIFE:
Battery life is very good. Heavy usage with:
Some GPS
Always turned on LTE
Constant Spotify music over BT headphones
Half an hour of calls
Over 3h SoT when SoT included approx 1h or more of YouTube on LTE
Many SMS'es and much tapatalk
Got me this: Battery was about 85% after reboot from update. So everything i mentioned got like 65%
BUGS:
Ads blocking doesn't work
Some weird WiFi behavior, to be further investigated, and backed up with logs
VERDICT:
Seems we're here an we're here to stay. On Exodus.
Does this ROM have an option to update just the delta differences from the nightlies? (like CyanDelta).

Ad blocking does work just not 100% effective. Is only as good as the hosts list you provide. Will see if there's an updated list. WiFi reconnecting when coming out of deep sleep AFAIK is a cm-based bug on 5.1.1 as it's been reported on the other ROMs too. Thanks for the thorough review. I'll see if I can find some time to address your quirks list later today. It's been a really long time since I clean flashed and those are only from clean flashing

that's been discussed but the devs just have so much more they want to work on (they're focusing on optimizations then features). That and it apparently involves changing how their server is set up or something (i was talking to main dev the other day)

These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:
Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
Boot to recovery
BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
Flash the ROM
Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
Flash gapps
Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

Sprint Users! ATTENTION!
I have included Sprint diagnostic apps to allow for prl/profile updates, as well as various other CDMA related configuration. However, these apps do not play 100% nicely with AOSP. Follow these simple steps from @plasmastrike to keep winning.
plasmastrike said:
Right before you run sprintdm "settings-mobile networks-carrier settings" clear the data for the app in either settings-apps-all or titanium backup. It will work after that for a bit. just always clear the data before you update. You will keep your prl update when you do that so sprintdm puts that somewhere else and update device config is not as useful. I think prl is proffered roaming list which is why it is nice.
Sprintdm works with a dirty update and clean install as long as you wipe data in the app prior to running. Thanks for putting it in

AOSP Telephony stack flavor
This build fixes the "unknown caller" bug by providing a pure aosp telephony stack. If you don't care about this bug stick with regular builds. If you are currently running the aosp telephony build, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STICKING WITH IT OR YOU WILL LIKELY NEED TO WIPE. IF YOU COME FROM REGULAR BUILDS TO THE AOSP TELEPHONY BUILD, YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO WIPE!

This should fix the rare device lockup
Some users experienced a lockup when updating apps from Play Store. The cause eluded me for some time but I found it. Only have installed a MAXIMUM of 3 themes installed at once
Probably more...
Download AOSP Tele build 9/7
9/7
Fixed duplicate APN Settings on some CDMA variants (nice find from caf @Mazda)
Audio: Update mixer paths from aosp (credit @DirtyUnicorns for a clean aosp tree)
Update sepolicy for pending WiFi calling (credit @DirtyUnicorns for a clean aosp tree)
ActionHandler: tweak key event handling because @remicks reports fail i can't duplicate but this needed to be done anyways because it's stronger code
CM commit to fix a media wakelock
BRD Labs: put ro.nav.debug=true in build.prop to play, comment it out to stop playing
Download AOSP Tele build 8/31
8/31
Fixed APN Settings.
BRD Labs Pre-release: Colorized logo. Go to Fling settings --> Logo color to change color or reset to see the full glory.
Removed V4A sepolicy commit: This was a accident as it hasn't been merged into mainline. V4A is still a wip anyways it looks like. But good news on the visualizer ;D
Download AOSP Tele build 8/30
The 8/30 build is basically the same as the initial AOSP Tele release. I've added modified selinux policy that is supposed to help V4A in some fashion.
Wow I remember you guys!!!!!
Yeah I used your ROMs back in the old days glad to see a return.

Hola!
BRD! Its been a while.. Cool to see you here!
It's about time this thread got started. I've been using EOS N6 builds for the last month or so and they are rock solid and everything you would expect from Team EOS & BRD. I've been a big fan of Team EOS since Galaxy Nexus days, and maybe even Epic days hll. Anyway glad to see the support thank you very much.

Looks interesting, welcome to Shamu part of Xda.
Hey guys ya it was about time I got a thread going lol. The build is my dd and some of you guys already know it's rock solid. Play with Fling. Turn on pulse. Set a theme. Change some colors. If you guys want something let me know. As long as it's half way sane you'll usually get it. Help me keep the noobz in check. I'll drop test builds from time to time with stuff from BRD Labs ;D I've been around a long time, so I know the game. No drama here, just dope builds. Any creative ideas let me know. I can usually write it. Since TeamEOS is actual real development as in like, we are programmers, we can make things happen. Have fun!

He speaks the truth....... Liquid acer ports and Miui on Evo 4g! classics!!
Sup @riassan! Haha ya man we go back to the REAL old school. Seems I've got a little spunk in me still ;D Damn. If I wasn't hitting the hay I'd cook you a birthday build! Instead, get hooked up, turn on Fling, then turn on Pulse and Lava Lamp and let me know what you think. I gotta turn up the frequency amplitude on these high dpi devices a bit but that should get the birthday party jumping ;D

Oh snaps sup dude! I've kinda been in hiding just writing code on the downlow. Over the last few months our project has gotten A LOT of traction so I figured time to get these threads open and hit the scene a bit. If you guys like where eos is going email me and you guys can get in our eos-dev Slack chat.

@BCNice420 was the man! He'd do the weekly miui port on his phone! I'm using the latest minimal banks gapps and it's proper. Not quite sure what you asked but no. I'm the lead guy for Eos. Mostly due to a lack of other hard core java guys. There are guys smarter than me. I just don't let them know it ;p

. Does this have battery and clock mods.
Also I'm on aicp but am not feeling there new anti-piracy code. I'm not starting a debate but what are your thoughts on this in as far as implementing it?. I've read all the posts and you seen like a great team with plenty of experience.
