U can unlock by contact your carrier to obtain the unlock code or buy a sim unlock chip to trick your device into thinking the inserted sim is correct sim card. Don't know if there is soft unlock yet.
Ps don't be lazy, create yur own threat for your question

Hello Everyone.
So Im trying to sim unlock my Xperia U for days with no results. I found lots of websites claiming they do the unlock, but are those legit? Can you tell me one that I can trust?
Hope you can help me.
Thank you.

Hello everyone:
Sorry for my noob question. So I recently purchased an Xperia Z2 in Mexico (Sony Store). They said that the handset is unlocked (which is true) but it still has carrier bloatware and logos (Telcel). I really want to remove that (apps, skins and logos), so my question is: Do I have to root the phone or just install another firmware? I'm really noob to this.
Thanks in advance.
*Edit: I can use different SIM cards on it.
no you dont need to root I have just done this myself
its pretty easy but a bit nerve racking for a beginner!
