Hey guys!
I have some problems with Safestrap Recovery on my XT910
Also, i can't install it normally. My phone is running CM10.1.3 with BootMenu Manager recovery
I was twice trying to install SS, but i usually have an unbootible device, that can't boot to system. What i must to do to install this recovery/
I want to install it to flash CM11, cause i don't want to change any files it bulds of CM to install it via BMM
I was trying to install SS3.65_umts_spyder.apk
I'm not positive, but I'm reasonably certain you need to boot back to stock, then make sure you have completely uninstalled BMM (and any versions of SS that may have been previously installed) and then try installing SS from stock ROM. If that still doesn't work then you probably need to do a complete reinstall of stock, unroot, then install SS3.65 (again do this from stock). Good luck.

I'm not an expert, but I think the phone still tries to boot to stock ROM first, but safestrap intercepts the process and forces the phone to then boot to the custom ROM.
Therefore, installing safestrap from any custom ROM like cm11 won't work (even though it may actually install). To get safestrap to work properly it must be installed from stock ROM.

Hello everyone
That's my first message here and i'm a new user of android.
I installed CM9 rom on the stock using BBM and then I uninstalled the recovery, and installed SafeStrap 3.05 recovery in order to install D-Wiz on rom-slot. After installing it I couldnt open the stock. the stock is always stuck in the loading status ( with cat icon of CM9).
I installed SafeStrap and D-Wiz as it is mentioned in this forum but maybe (I dont remember correctly) I wiped cache, dalvik cache and factory reset of the stock.
D-Wiz rom works fine but I have this problem with the stock. If you think I'll have to wipe everything I dont have problem with that. I just want to have my stock working and that's all.
guys, if my english isn't understood so tell me and i'll fix it.
anyway I really need your help here.
AW: RAZR XT910 cant run the stock
When your Stock Rom is an CM9 based Rom you need BMM to boot it with 2nd-init. Your problem is, that you've uninstalled BMM and installed SS.
To boot your Stock System with Safestrap you have to run an Stock Rom or Stock based Custom Rom on it.
So Fastboot back to Stock by using RSD or try to uninstall SS and install BMM 0.3.2 while you're booted into your Rom Slot.
After this you should be able to boot your Stock System (CM9)
Charge your Battery and have your Fastboot Files ready, just in case it doesn't work.

Hi friends,
Here's my situation, would be very happy if any of you can give me some advice on how to solve this.
1. My stock romslot can no longer boot. I also cannot restore Nandroid to it. Looks like /int is gone.
2. My 2nd romslot also won't boot DWiz JBX rom so I'm stuck with BBM
3. What I am trying to do is clean up stock romslot and 2nd romslot, then install retail China version on stock romslot and then maybe install a 2nd custom rom on system2 (2nd romslot). Haven't decided because it's so much trouble.
4. I've been using BMM all along. Didn't touch Fastboot, adb or Safestrap (in fact, I only know how to use BMM...)
Finally, any guide to restoring the whole phone back to the beginning? (unroot, restore kernel, rom etc)
Thanks!

So, I need to get back to pure stock, un-everything, however, I have a problem standing in my way:
I have SafeStrap installed (3.62 if I recall correctly), but I had to recover a bad install and now I can't even boot into SafeStrap anymore but the still boots into the Cyanogenmod ROM I installed. I have ME7 installed on my stock partition. Is there anyway I can force the phone to boot into SafeStrap, or boot into my stock partition, or update through Loki?
Edit: So I installed SafeStrap 3.65 and discovered that I recovered my Cyanogenmod install onto my stock ROM partition. Not sure if this is bad or not... :/
Edit 2: Okay... I found my old SD card with my original ME7 backup on it, so I'm back to that. Now I need to uninstall a bad Clockworkmod install because it's preventing me from updating.

odin you stock full wipe firmware
why did you install cyanogen mod with safestrap? you cannot do that lol.
but anyways. Yes use odin and use stock firmware tar to recover fully to stock.
I have a fresh ME7 recovery installed, rooted, and Safestrap 3.71 recovery installed. I have followed at instructions that I have found in the general forum, and still after creating a ROM slot in Safestrap, and installing both a Custom ROM and the ME7 modules, and even after a "successful" install, once the phone reboots, it goes to the little robot asking if I want to continue or go back to recovery and continues to loop back to the screen. I have been trying to install Jelly 'Beans' - Build 7 which I read in a thread was one of the few custom ROMS safestrap can use. Now I have installed the same Custom ROM this way before, but it has been several months and by trying to get back into the scene and upgrading to a newer ROM, I messed my phone up and cannot get it to load a custom ROM and I am stuck at the normal stock. Please help!!!!1!

I'm not too familiar with Safestrap, but I believe if you want to run a JB 4.3 based rom you'll need to first upgrade to 4.3 stock (odin to MK2), then root/safestrap and install the rom with the matching 4.3 base/modules.

As Bob said, you have the wrong version of safestrap if you want to stay on ME7

Hello All,
I rooted and installed safestrap. Then took a backup, installed open_gapps. I can not access my OS, as it's stuck in language selection screen in Google Wizard.
Is there anyway to roll back and install the stock rom again.
Thank you
Which Safestrap version do you have installed? Can you still access Safestrap recovery? Do you have the backup on the HDX?
If you have a backup of the stock slot, you should be able to restore it. Note that you MUST NOT restore a backup of a secondary slot to the stock slot! Would brick the device.
And don't wipe system in Safestrap, especially if you use Safestrap v3.7x!
