Hi I was wondering if there's a way to disable that magnifying glass pop-up that appears while you drag the cursor around the text area in the EVOs HTC Sense. I think not even disabling the default keyboards it disappears.
It's helpful because of the ppi and small text size of this device but lately it's becoming more a problem because sometimes the magnified area is displayed completely white (random in some apps) and in the Twitter app for example the search field bugs it making it completely black and actually covers what I could be seeing with no problems without it getting in the way!

After upgrade to 2.1 I noticed that some screen controls like buttons in some programs (not all of them) have little lines, normally in the borders.
Some input field text too... Even in the blue scroll control....
Anyone else have this issue?
yeah, I see them too
there are also some seperator lines disappear on scrolling.
not the only graphic bugs.
here some more:
-fat scrollbar is ugly in 3.party apps (maybe also in default apps, can't look atm)
-memory card icon is not correct
I see blur text in SuperUser too...
At least it is not a hardware problem
The Kindle app is cutting off text at the top or bottom depending on where the notification bar is. Do I have to go full screen with this app? Oh, just noticed it doesn't do this in landscape. BTW it doesn't matter which font is selected. Actually, the smaller the font, the more gets cut off.
Thanks,
kev
The only way I have found to keep text from being cut off by the status bar is to go full screen. Depending on the book I'm reading, even in landscape some text will get cut off. The Nook app does not have this problem and seems to be an overall much better experience, but the bulk of my books are from Amazon.
yes, you must go full screen :/ its a known problem (you can find it in the original tablet tweaks thread)
Are there any mods out there (and if not, how hard would it be for someone to write one) that vertically flip the orientation of the Notification Panel?
Right now, the typical panel pulls down with a swipe, showing the Toggles first (if your rom has 'em), then the notifications, stacked in a list, last first. What I'd like is to be able to have the panel swipe up from the bottom of the screen, with the toggles at the bottom of the panel and then the notifications stacked in a list, with the last one at the bottom. In essence a completely vertical mirror of how the panel operates.
The closest I've been able to find is with PA, but it requires cranking the DPI on your device so that fonts are tiny, and the panel doesn't span the screen completely, it's just a little popup window with tiny icons. What I'm looking for is something that's perfectly identical to the standard panel, just upside-down.
Is this possible? Has anyone out there written a mod that does this? It seems like such an obvious hack (especially in light of 4.7" phones), yet I can't seem to find anything.
In Android 10 on the Pixel XL 4, with gesture navigation turned on, there is a thin white hint bar that appears at the bottom center of the screen, presumably to remind users that they can / should swipe up. However, if using the Gboard keyboard in flloating mode (vs. having it docked at the bottom), this causes a very wide black band to appear at the bottom of the screen, which can obscure app functionality. See an example of the text area getting partially hidden in Android's own Messages app, which is attached to this post. Is there anyway to turn off the white bar or prevent the wide black band with native Google gestures turned on?
My workaround has been to use Fluid Natural Gestures (FNG),which doesn't present the problem. If it weren't for this, I'd be fine using the native gestures.
Thanks in advance.
Hi, I'm a bit late to the V60 party and am curious if others have the same two issues I'm having with the lock screen. The first is that my notification pop ups are tiny - like unreadable tiny. This is on the main display (not the front of the dual case). On my V30+ I could read the subject and first few lines of emails as they came in, and read texts & WhatsApp messages no problem. They occupied a third to a half of the screen. Now I get something that's 1/8" (~3mm). I have everything in 'brief notifications' turned on, 'show content' checked, and 'hide sensitive notification content' unchecked. What's the difference between bubble vs non-bubble? Sounds like some Apple i- to me.
My other question is can only put two app shortcuts on my lock screen? IIRC I could put many on my V30+'s screen. Two is limiting. Is it time to install Nova launcher? The fact that I can't add a home screen to the left of the main one bothered me, at least until I grouped the snot out of my app shortcuts
