Guys,
I just bought a phone that doubles as a remote dialler/messenger when paired via BT to another phone. So, in effect, you can make/receive calls as well as messages to this phone. Upon further search, the phone uses BT MAP to remote the messages. I paired it up to my Z Ultra (unrooted, 4.3) but while the remote call works as advertised, the messaging does not. Does the Z Ultra under Android 4.3 support Bluetooth MAP, or is that an Android 4.4 functionality?
Thanks,
Poch

Hi All,
I hope this is the right place to post this.
I was looking at the BlackBerry PlayBook adv. where they talk about the BB Bridge.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an app for HoneyComb and GingerBread where the tablet would act like the LiveView from SE.
Basically if both the devices are on the same WiFi network, or via BlueTooth (BT), the SMS / Call information can be sent over to the Tablet.
We can make it interesting by using the tablet as a BT headset for the phone. or even a host for SMS.
This is all possible through BT, which works when you sync the phone to a GPS or other "Speaker Phone" Devices i.e. car stereos
Hello, I just bought a Xperia S and I did not reach in connection it to my Built-in bluetooth system (a parrot built-in kit in a Citroen). The pjone can see the system but I'm not able to make the system pairing.
I already had difficulties in the past with an X10 but it was linked to Android 1.6 and with my Samsung Galaxy S2 under Cyanogen7. I have no issue to conenct with Nokia E6, iPhone 4 or Android 2.3.X smartphones (Samsung Galaxy S2, Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Desire,...).
I think that it could come from the BT stack used by Sony or from their Android adaptation and I don't think I would be able to pair the system till an update could be released or perhaps with ICS.
Does somebody has the same difficulty or a solution ?
Best regards
Try to reset the bluetooth in your car.
Sent from my Sony Xperia S-LT26i
I had the same issue with my bluetooth IO player.First time when I added it after that it would not connect. Turned bluetooth off and on and automatically connected. Might be worth restarting your phone. If the phone can add it then it should be able to connect to it.
Hello, I do,'t know where to reset my car BT as it is a built-in. One solution could be to remove the fuse....
It is not a question of connexion as I'm not able to pair the BT device and the Xperia.
I have no issue with all the other phones !!!
I have a 2009 Ford Mondeo and my Xperia S paired with the integrated bluetooth unit without any issues. Can browse phone book and call log without any issues and obviously make/receive calls.
Hi Guys,
Im having a real bluetooth issue with my SXS and Merc...I can connect and pair fine, however randomly the phone keeps disconnecting.. ive had this working fine with a Iphone4s and lumia 800 so i dont think its the MB side of things...can anyone shed some light on this?
Hi everyone,
I am an owner of the GSIII I747M and the ASUS Transformer, both running ICS. I recently had this idea (fantasy?) where I mount the Transformer in my car, hook it up to the car speakers and basically use it as my in-car infotainment system instead of the headunit that's in there. Nothing wrong with my in-car headunit (except the fact that I can't get bluetooth to work with my GSIII), but the tablet will give me tons more features. When I enter the car, I want the tablet to automatically tether to my phone via wi-fi and via bluetooth. Wi-fi is for internet access and it works just fine. The bluetooth is for the hands-free profile, so that when I receive a call, the music/navigation/whatever gets interrupted and I can take the call. I also want to be able to dial from the tablet.
When I connect the two devices via bluetooth, I don't have a hands-free profile; indeed I have no useful profiles at all. My question is simple: is there an app for that? Any suggestions? Has anyone done this? Thanks!
hi,
All was well until today ....
At home there are a mobile Galaxy, Nexus 7 Tablet and Xperia Z2 Tablet
My headset was working properly with all these devices and suddenly it no longer works with the Xperia tablet.
When I activate the Bluetooth, the headset is displayed as "connected" . For cons, the sound always comes from the speaker.
Out of curiosity I removed recognized devices from the tablet (Galaxy, Nexus and headset) and launched a search (bluetooth enabled on Nexus and headset).
The xperia found none.
I said that my headset continues to function properly with the two other mobile devices.
Weird right?
Hi fellow android friends,
I have an older car with a big radio slot. I thought about integrating an android tablet there and connect it to the car stereo, but I have some questions if some features would be possible.
Basically I want to pair my phone to the tablet via bluetooth to mainly stream music to it. But I also want navigation (Google Maps) which I could simply use by creating a hotspot from my phone automatically when it's connected via bluetooth to the tablet. Also I want Call integration. So that I can start, answer and end calls I get on my phone from my tablet. I would set up a microphone in the car for better quality.
Is this possible? If so, how? With specific apps? Or flashing Android Auto somehow to the tablet?
