Hello i just got a used galaxy note 1. i have a problem with the ear speaker and i think its software problem. because the ear speaker is sometimes working and sometimes not working. When i call anyone, the ear speaker works, but when somebody calls me the ear speaker doesnt work. Sometimes it works when somebody calls me but usually it doesnt work. i have tried all resets, installed other roms but it didnt work. The Android Version is 4.2.2 jb and i'm usin the cyanogen mod.

I have a problem with the sound on my Xperia S. It seems that I don't have sound through the ear speaker during calls. When I plug my genuine Sony Xperia S headset I do have sound. When I turn the speakerphone on during calls I do have sound. But when I use my mediaplayer w/o the headset I don't have sound over the speakerphone. Ringtones do not sound when receiving a call or text/IM-messages.
Some issues that might relate to this problem:
- I used my beats by dre Tour headphones, and since I installed KA09 Rom it doesn't give the system notification that the microphone and volume buttons don't work.
- I installed KA09 and today KA10, the problem still continues to exsist.
I never dropped the phone or had any damage, I only have it for 3 months now.
Anybody else facing problems like mine? If so, what was your solution?
Hey guys. I bought an i9100 from ebay and everything works except the Mic. It only works on loudspeaker or earphones with mic. But when I tried to call my mate it has an audio off on the left side. So I tried to use voice recorder and doesnt work unless I speak loud but only produces a buzzing noise. So I tried to flash siyah kernal, changing firmwares. None of that worked. But why does the loudspeaker work and mic doesn't, isn't the mic and the loudspeaker from the same mic and is there any solutions to fix or I have to repace the mic? Thanks.
Hi! First of all, I did research about this, and tried every possible solution posted in this forum, but without success...
The problem is with my s2 main microphone (down one). When making a call sometimes the receiver can't hear me, but if I switch to speaker, then its ok. So I test the mic with voice recorder app, and yes...I've mic problems...I've to scream so the mic barely detect any sound. I tried to open the rubber hole that is over the mic but nothing.... The rare thing is that if I hit the phone, or shake it, suddenly mic works fine...its like random .

So firstly my aux port on the phone was playing up so I bought the replacement part which included the speaker aswel as the new aux port. Took the old one out and put the new one in. The next day my phone rang so i answered it and i could hear the person on the other wnd but they couldnt hear me, when i opened up the voice recorder app there was no sound at all being recorded. I used a needle and checked there was no fluff in the mic which there wasnt but when I tries taking a video there was sound. Ive now found out there is a microphone for calls and voice recording and a separate one at the top for videos.
Is it best to replace the microphone on the main circuit board or would I be able to use the video microphone for calls?
Also when I plug in earphones with a built in mic that works fine for calls.
Any help will be appreciated!
P.s. I'm running CyanogenMod 10.2
after updated to android pie throug ota, i can not record or send voice message through the bluetooth headphone, iam using airpod, i tried with couple of other bluetooth headphone too, all having the same problem,
when iam using whatsapp or calling with thirdparty apps like imo with bluetooth headphone, the phone' internal mic is working instead of headphone's mic , the other end could hear my voice,
but
if i hold and close the phone's internal mic hole with my finger the other end could not hear my voice,
i already factory reset my phone twice, but still having the issue,
Same here with my sony 1000XM2, headphone speakers work.

Yes. Tried updating firmware on headphones but it didn't help.

I have an S9+ running Android 10. I have Beats Ur Beats 3 wired ear buds and the mic doesn't work on those either. It used to when I first got the phone when it had Oreo on it. I miss that feature as I used it all the time. I'm guessing there is no fix in the near future.
