Autofocus fix? - AT&T LG Optimus G

I have tried the hybrid modems and it still does not seem to be giving me anything better... Anybody have any suggestions for me? Someone mentioned a script I can run via script manager?

This is the camera app from 4.4 Beanstalk ROM. It would have to be copied to system apps and permissions set to rw-r--r-- then reboot.

Thanks I'll give that a whirl.
Can you help me fix my phones modem firmware? I can't find a flashable zip that contains a modem without all these bugs. The one I'm on right now doesn't let me send MMS and the light sensors are messed up.. And I can't get the mako modems to flash

I haven't flashed a modem in for ever, think I am on one of the hybrids. Which ones have you tried and what ROM are you using?

Someone pm'd me the LTE hybrid modem 33/84 after I posted here and that seems to have fixed those issues. Auto rotate works and so does the camera autofocus. Flash doesn't tho but I guess I'll have to settle. What I want to know is why I couldn't get any of the LTE modems to flash except that one the dude sent me. I tried all of the ones from the hybrid modem collection thread v2 and neither of those two work. I'm on paranoid android beta 3 right now.

Not sure why they wouldn't work. If you mean camera flash try turning off HDR, if it's flashplayer for video you need a browser that works on kitkat.

Are you sure the flash is functional?
Sent from my Optimus G

The autofocus with flash turned on was flashing the light on and off for about a half second and then it loses focus. With flash off it will focus properly. The 33-84 hybrid modem seems to be working properly now, I think

OmniRom

Are there any builds of OmniRom floating around for the E970? I'd love to try out the ROM, I just don't want to convert to a nexus 4 again.
(yes I searched, returned nothing)
Here's one but it is only a test build, I don't think it booted for everyone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2228880
Edit.... New build in the folder.

I'm going to try out the 10/22 build now, I'll post again/edit once I try it out. Thanks for the link. :fingers-crossed:
Edit:
Build 10/22 does not work, the boot animation does not work, and if you wait long enough the screen goes white, and then fades to grey, and finally a watchdog bark is called.
The 10/14 build worked for me. Haven't tried since then. Let me know if you want it and I'll shoot you a link to my copy tonight. Can't upload now, I'm at work.

Radio help, Los Angeles, CA. T-Mobile.

Hey, so I'm on T-Mobile in the LA area and I know that I can get 20Mbps INSIDE MY HOUSE, because when I was running stock ICS freshly rooted and freshly unlocked I got 20Mbps when I did a speed test.
But now with Beanstalk installed I can't seem to get more than 5Mbps data speeds. And that's from the AT&T JB radio.
I don't care about LTE if I can get 20Mbps HSPA+ like I've seen in some screenshots.
Which modems are the best? I can't seem to get anything more then 2Mbps from mako modems, (I've only tried .48 and .98). And the hybrids don't flash except for a few I've been able to find here and there throughout the forums and they only give me 1Mbps
Thanks to anyone that can help.
You had 20mb on this phone or a previous one you were using?

Do you have a copy of the ICS radio? Your problem did begin after you switched radios and ROM, correct?

No I don't. :-\
I noticed it had really slowed after I flashed a hybrid radio to fix the GPS that wasn't working with the previous stock radio/Beanstalk ROM.
Yesterday after you replied to my question I saw that your signature contained a link to hybrid radios and I tried the 27/84 hybrid but GPS wouldn't lock and data was only 3Mbps, so I reflashed the Jelly Bean at&t radio and did a speed test in the exact same spot and got 13Mbps. And GPS locked in 7 seconds.
I think I may just stick with the jelly bean radio after all. 13Mbps is plenty fast. Maybe it depends on when I do the test, IDK.
Thanks for replying. Maybe flashing the hybrid you linked to and then the jelly bean increased my speed. Lol.
Thread can be closed now.

[ROM] AOSP 4.4.4-R2 Geeb [19/08/2014]

Just put this together for myself and decided to share.
Its 100% pure aosp so there isn't much for me to support.
Forgot to mention when I first posted, pre-rooted and busybox pre-installed.
It is set up for Canadian geeb which has green led.
For AT&T you could try xposed and gravity box and set the notification color from there.
Latest build doesn't use touchboost and you should see some battery improvement. Also removed stock aosp recovery from install.
ROM:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712461547
Banks GAPPS I use:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712459521
Thanks! Your AOSP 4.4.2 was my first ROM with the geeb, I thought the old thread got bumped until I realized the date and version. I love all the bells and whistles of CM based ROMs, but AOSP + Gravity Box is a pretty good combo.

This is a boot.img for gee I just built:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23622183712460412
Flash the rom as is, and fastboot flash boot boot.img after should work.
Or just replace it in the rom. Whichever is easier for you.
Let me know if it works, if it does I will start a new thread in International forum for you guys and upload a zip with this boot.img in it.
Just installed, and the ROM is working smoothly. Thank you very much for this!

They are CDMA and not GSM right?
Maybe as simple as a build.prop edit network??

Yes, we are CDMA. One of our first KK ROMs was actually an AOSP geeb port, exactly like this ROM (but older), and it worked. So its definitely possible!

CM 11 and 12 unified builds no gsm data

When CM when unified I lost gsm data. I am using the i545 with a gsm carrier (T-Mobile) I have tried everything I can think of and searched for hours looking for a fix to no avail.
Since nothing I have tried fixes it so I am hoping some one might have a fix, maybe I missed the one thread that would fix it I don't know. Help?

Today is your lucky day. I also own a vzw s4 and am using it on T-Mobile and I know your fix. After flashing your cm12 build, there is a zip that you flash (will be attached) and it will detect the T-Mobile service. Be sure to flash it after the first boot

As for cm11 there is a separate zip to flash.

Non-Sprint Note 3 Touchwiz Lollipop 5.0!!!

First off, sorry if this has already been posted. If it has, moderator please delete. I did a quick look and didn't see it but may have missed it.
On to the good stuff, it seems like a few people have Touchwiz Lollipop 5.0 booting on a couple different Note 3 variants with the Snapdragon. I'm not a dev and don't really have the means to try this right now but here is the thread with all the info. Hopefully a dev or some brave soul can check this out on our Sprint devices and see what's up. I would love to have a nice custom Lollipop ROM before the new year! Good luck to any who try! I hope it works!

I flashed Echoe creation N3 Lollipop v21 (now v22 is released) from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495688
Things that do not work for me are:
1) WiFi does not work initially. A WiFi&Bluetooth fixed it though
2) screen mirroring still does not work with my Samsung smart tv. It was not working on 4.4.4 previously and I was hoping Lollipop can fix it, but no luck.
3) video taking still does not work.
4) Nextradio/fm is not working anymore. It was working on Stock 4.4.4 Rom.
