Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

I boot in recovery and download mode. I did not do factory reset like it said. I pressed the power off button.

[Q] Phone bricked? How do I recover?

I've been using OmniROM and TWRP for quite some time now.
I put the phone on charge and a few minutes later it was stuck on Samsung initial Screen with the usual red triangle. (Showing SAMSUNG Galaxy SIII GT-I9300)
I removed the charger and battery and restarted, it was still stuck on Samsung Boot Screen.
Any ideas how to recover the phone?
I have tried going through some of the other forum threads but most of them can't go to download mode. I can go into TWRP and download mode both. I tried recovering the phone using Kies "Firmware Initialization" but it generates "your phone cannot be upgraded to the latest version" and stops.

Nand write fail usually means dead emmc chip. You can try rescue firmware here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30087735&postcount=6 << but I think you need to send it fto service for repair.

I finally took to a repair shop, they say it is my fault since I rooted it (they can see the red exclamation mark), and will charge extra for "software change".
Any idea how to reset the counter in download mode, revert to stock recovery and remove the red exclamation mark in bootloader?
P. S. I read somewhere in case of dead emmc I shouldn't be able to see the device version in download mode. But I can..

I used the 3.09 still same problem am stuked up really
If the rescue firmware and pit didn't flash then your emmc chip is damaged, either new motherboard or phone.

There must be a way to reset the download count by installing stock recovery. Maybe @Chainfire can help here.

what @boomboomer said is what you should consider.
If you keep on insisting, you will just damage the phone more ( i am talking from experience ) .
change motherboard or in some places, people can replace the emmc Chip for you.

I have not been able to flash anything with odin and I suspect there is something in the phone rolling back and changes odin does. I really would like to get this phone working (current rom works but cant connect to wifi). Ive used guides like this one and I have not had any luck so far.

There is no way how to enable USB debugging mode if is device soft bricked.. Download official FW ,then go to download/bootloader mode and flash it via Odin.

Recently I rooted my phone (sm-g925w8 Rogers) using the modified kernel method. Then I tried installing TWRP using the TWRP manager app however this failed and caused my phone to enter a bootloop. Hello,
I have reported this thread to move to right Q&A so the experts there might be able to assist you.

How about you try to format+downloading the any compatible "Full Rom"
Preferred Stock Rom
NVRAM already back up
............
Ready with your SP Flasht tool best ver 5.xxxxxx
Stock Rom by meant of SP Flashtool
Make sure you have Vcom+USB driver in your PC
Even though it is in a boot loop
Just get your self ready...ie: Rom scatter uploaded into SP Flash
When ever loop cycle end JUSt PLUG IN YOUR EVERREADY unit
Hopefully it will be detected.
---------- Post added at 02:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:07 PM ----------
I did that to my daughter's phone that is Lenovo S850
Using splash tool
Stock rom
Lucky me.....I back up NVram + Imie
Just revive from semi bricked phone

Try smart switch emergency recovery
Also do u have the same firmware as ur bootloader if not this can cause odin to fail
U could also try flashing just the stock recovery img with odin
I just had this problem now i download samsung smart switch.
1. Install smart switch
2. Click more you will find emergency software recovery.
3. Then it click device initialization.
4. Enter your phone model no that starts with sm.
5. Then ur sn no that is in the box.
6. Enter both and it will start searching and show the steps and u will get the official os for your phone.
Pls note data will be erased.

The model number is a GT-i9300, and no stock roms so far have succeeded.
I have used Odin 3.07 and Odin 3.09, my samsung drivers are up to date and Odin still fails to flash the rom.
I've also tried different usb cables, along with trying out different ports, none of them have worked.
On the S3 it's currently running TWRP version 3.0.2-1, it also asks me whether or not I keep it "System Read only" whenever I go in recovery mode. And each time I always choose the option of keeping it read only. I don't know if these has anything to do with Odin failing to flash the rom but might as well mention it. I was also running CyanogenMod13 for roughly a month before the brick happened.
Any help would be appreciated !

Hi, after NAND Write Start!! and this double !! means it start to WRITE on your Device Flash Memory when this fails it means that the cable dont transfer correct data / Cable Connection OK but wrong cable cannot write correctly on your device
I recommend you to use Original cable when flashing or a other cable but look for the compatibility to devices:good:
as far as I know it cant be a other opportunity to fix this because in the Download Mode of the s3 is the only way to Flash Original Firmware when this fails i dont now how to continue and i cannot help you more than that
And sry for my bad as fu** English
