Steps to upgrade to latest CyanogenMod

Hi: I've been enjoying using the CyanogenMod for a couple of months now and love it. Thanks to all who created it and continue to improve it.
I simply want to upgrade to the latest stable version. Here's what I "think" I need to do. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could verify the same.
1) put zipped flash onto root of SD Card
2) Backup phone using Titanium Backup
3) Power off phone and choose "recovery" shut-down option
4) Choose zipped flash from sdcard
5) Wait for flash to complete
The other options on the reboot menu include among other things: Wipe, Mounts, Other. I've read in other post that it's a good idea to wipe dalvick-cache. Should I do so - and am I missing anything else?
If there's already a thread out there that walks one through these steps, I was unable to find it - but would appreciate being pointed to the same.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Since you are just upgrading from earlier cm7 rom, you just need to wipe cache and dalvik cache, nothing else

Unless you are updating from a previous version of CM, you should always do a full wipe. Take backups of your sms, contacts, etc.

If you are goin' from froyo or other ROM you have to wipe ALL. It means Data (format system)/Cache/Dalvik Cache/BattStats . If you are goin' from earlier CM7 then wipe Cache/Dalvik cache/battstats.
Thanks dude!

Yep, but have various bugs. The Twitter apps doesn't works, and some Facebook apps have the same problem. Have a some areas lags and the 3G connection not is 100% when we say about velocity. But, I will wait too the final version or the RC version. This version of system is perfect.
How untill the final version?

[Q] Method for CM10 Nightly updates

Hi all,
I've been using a nightly build of CM10 for a while now, one of the ones with the memory leak. I'd like to keep on top of the most recent nightly builds on a regular basis, but I hate the process of having to re install all my apps again, losing app data and adding all the sync accounts etc etc.
I was just wondering what process people used for updating to the most recent nightly, if there are any easy ways of doing a simple backup for everything, then just restoring it after the update.
Any information would be appreciated.
Cheers.

I disagree completely, wipe once, if at all.
Twice is completely unnecessary.
Before or after doesn't matter a sh*t as long as you do it before you boot the ROM.
(I've often not wiped anything and its been fine although I'll give best practice advice here.)
Actually with nightlies I don't wipe anything, ever, unless specifically instructed to do so by the dev (new code base or whatever)

No need in wiping anything. There's a script included in the installation for that.

disappearing sound

hello poeple i have pac rom and its working great except the sound
its disappearing after few hours of booting phone or letting it away
no sound in music , no sound in viber , no sound in vid
i reflashed but nothing happened
please help
edit:: it doesnt work again unless i reboot
Start from the basics back up your apps and reinstall the Rom and kernel.
Maybe it's a app you have installed that's causing the problem, so install them one at a time if the above options fails
Sent from my YP-G70 using xda premium
and if you suggest a full wipe so would you recommend pac rom or what other rom??

Do a full wipe, everything except EMC AND SD
Redownload your rom to make sure, do you have that problem on CM10. 1?
