Hi everyone,
I am having issues with running Plex on my lg g pad 8.3.
The tablet finds my server, but when I try to play a video in plex the screen remains black. The video won't start. This is the case for every video in plex.
Tried several versions. My server is okay because a s3 and tab 8.0 can play the videos.
Can someone help me out here? G pad is on stock rom.
Odd. I run place all the time on my gpad. Try wiping the cache and data for plex on the gpad.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately this was not a solution.
Are you running stock rom as well?
Check the settings to see how you have it configured. I too am running Plex without issue. Also what version of plex are you running?

Did not changed a thing in settings. Compared setting with the ones on the galaxy s3 and they are exactly the same.
I will try a factory reset on my tablet and test again.

Hmm, wouldn't expect root to make a difference. However I do recommend it but for other purposes. In any case it appears I am running a much newer version - 3.2.4.87. Additionally check the following options to make sure they are on: Direct Stream and Direct Play. Also check the video quality that you have set. I have mine to 3 Mbps 720p.

Cool. I am stock but rooted. Wouldn't have expected this to make a difference but maybe it does. In any case glad it's working now.

For me when I try to watch the stream, it says "Getting current location..." for a long time, and then "We are having trouble verifying your current location."
Do I have to spoof the GPS or something?
I had that issue on froyo. CM7 works fine.

hmmm. I am running CM7 and Dalingri's 3/31 kernel. I guess I'll try to flash the latest nightly and kernel and try again. Thanks.
I got nightly 37 i believe, OC kernal 4/4, and latest gapps.
If someone could help, what about this app does and doesn't work? Is it just the streaming or is it everything? I would like to download this app to get radio streaming and live stats. I don't need streaming tv. If these functions are working, I will invest in the app...
So I got my cm7 and kernel up-to-date. It didn't help me. Same error. So I spoofed my location (to my actual location) and then it works fine. Not sure why this is necessary, but it is not a big deal. I'm just happy it works!
@mfdoomesq - the audio and gameday live stats work fine out of the box.
May I ask how you spoffed it?

I use "location spoofer" app from the market.
You of course have to enable "allow mock locations" in settings/applications/development.
would be interesting to see if you could get games in your market with it.

Between you and me, that works.
Someone please help me figure out why streaming TV icon will not show up I'm running MLB at bat 1.1.1 with cm7/tt the app loads and all but no streaming options. I have the same version MLB at bat on my evo and streams show up. I've tried uninstalling clearing cache, moving to SD etc. Still wont pop up with TV option.

Are you still running a nightly instead of Stable? I'm getting the white screen problem on the stable build.
I bought the app from the Market(no TV package, just Gameday Audio), however my problem is the Gameday Audio part only works once after install.
It will play any feed, but if I exit, the feeds no longer play.
I get "uanble to connect" very frustrating.

I installed this copy (taken from my phone). It has worked without issue (I'm not device spoofing) for a few weeks.

The spare parts trick doesn't work for my nook... But it's okay SpeedTest app works and thats what really matters to me..
This one works for me.
For those that didn't see this till recently (like myself) this hulu apk will work on our phone. You will have to uninstall hulu first if you already have it installed.

Freakin awesome
works perfect on my note. Now I don't have to sign up for netflix for my travels
Lets me log in, go to load a vid, Buffers forever, says it appears you are having network issues Please wait or try again later. I'm on my wifi at home, not 2 feet from my router, have full bars on my network, can stream from everything else, but this buffers endlessly.
Running I717 ATT Note Rooted with Saurom Rom, Flashed to Tmobile. Is there something I'm missing?
I didn't realize people were having problems with hulu still.. This is the apk I use and it works with gb and ics.

Very strange. I use that app every day and never have an issue. What rom are you on? I have used it on stock rooted and ics alpha 2 tablet on the note and tons of roms on my old infuse.

Using Saurom Rom, not the 7.1 but the one before it. It's funny, because it worked on my Tmobile HD2, before it broke, dual booting android and windows 6.5.

Ad blocking will generally cause this issue. If you have ad blocking on your phone try disabling it or adding the ad urls to the whitelist of your ad blocking software.
I am on an ICS rom and running AdAway with "ads.hulu.com" and "p.hulu.com" added under "Your Lists", the "WHITE" tab...

As I indicated in my previous post, I'm running the Saurom Rom.
Yes I installed the modded hulu apk.
No it doesn't work on my i717 Note.
Try running the flashex script...using your browser in desktop mode is much better, you won't even get the dumb ass web only on your shows!!!

Google Market says "not compatible with your device"...does someone knowledgeable know why? It successfully downloaded to my Archos G9/80 and so I copied those files over to the Pad and everything runs of course fine there, including the movie...BUT I don't like that So - does someone know a way to perhaps change some lines in build.prop (my Pad is rooted) in order to get the Market's GO ?

Try going into high resolution mode, and then clearing Google Play data, rebooting again.

Explanation: The Play Store uses your DPI as part of its "compatibility" calculation. The DPI it reads depends on which resolution mode the tab is set to, and sometimes you have to clear memory for it to notice.
I updated my l9 to the official Indian jelly bean few days back and since then youtube app fails to play any videos over wifi. Wifi and internet otherwise works perfectly fine on the device. Even in the youtube app I can search, look up videos within my subscriptions fine , just can't play anything over wifi. I get the error - "problem while playing touch to retry". Works fine over 3G though.
I have rebooted the phone and wifi modem/router multiple times which didn't help. I also uninstalled all the updates for the youtube app still no help. Reinstalled the youtube updates still same problem
Has anyone else faced similar problem since updating to jelly bean?

I haven't rooted my phone yet. The only reason I am reluctant to contact lg service center because I think they may not consider this as a phone/device problem. But I will try that eventually.
I feel if I could reinstall the youtube app it might help but then I'm not rooted and this app came pre-installed.
is there a way to remove pre-installed apps without rooting?

As I always say, XDA is not for lion-hearted people. Others should not even come here. :laugh: I am not rough and tough user and take good care of my phone, therefore I dont care about LG's warranty and thats because I am here on XDA.
Even if anything happens to my phone in future, I will take it as bad-luck, but till then my phone will live life to the fullest. :angel:
You can update YT, if it shows Update button. Otherwise No, if not rooted.
Same problem here. Literally tried everything. I'm gonna root the phone tomorrow and try removing with Ti Backup and installing separately. Hope that works...

Anyone found a solution? I have literally tried everything from flashing numerous times to contacting LG 5 times, changing WiFi settings, etc.
However, for me YouTube works on ICS and CM10.1. But ICS is too old for me so I'm forced to be on 20A. Roms from other regions don't work too. So hopefully LG will release an update soon or CM gets stable.

Well if the YouTube app isn't working. I quick fix would be to install Adobe flash player and use naked Brower, dolphin Brower or other non stock Brower. And view the page in desktop mode (YouTube.com)

youtube is working again over wifi on my p765. I have been using the default router+modem(huwaei) provided by my ISP for last 7 years. Since it was an old model (54mbps, only b/g) I was planning to get a new one and finally I bought and configured the d-link 2750U and youtube started working again.
I still can't figure out what exactly made the difference because the old router was working perfectly fine all these years with various devices including my p765 before the jb update.
Anyways, alls well that ends well

So the router doesn't like jelly bean. We bought this router almost a year back. I think there's an old configuration which ICS and Cm are okay with but not stock jb. Thanks for updating.

It doesn't work at all with wifi and when streaming with my mobile connection videos buffer and just stop loading. im rooted and have the tmobile variant if anyone has any ideas were to go from here that would be great

So has it been like this from the beginning or it just happened? Have you tried it through a browser? Download flash player and try it that way. I'll try to upload mine when I get a chance.
You might not what to hear this, but try flashing a freshly download 20d, or flash the v21d

Yes its been like this since i flashed jb, I dont have the same issue in ics. maybe ill try downloading 20d again and reflashing it.
I've literally tried every kdz, nothing seems to work. It's also been this way since I updated to jb. Never had a problem on ics.
