Hello,I searched before but i couldn't find an answer.
I got a problem here,I installed yesterday a modified version of NeatRom 5.6(comming from infected 4.4.2 with gstavo kernel),by me to look like the S4 UI,I modified only framework-res.apk,SystemUI.apk and some system apps like sms, contacts etc.. No modification in init.d folder or build.prop, kernel etc. Yesterday I got into recovery and this were the steps I followed: 1. Flashed ROMNukeScript 2. The modified version of NeatRom aroma installer went great,I rebooted and BOOM the phone was stuck at Samsung Galaxy S2 logo for like 10 minutes,I was like OK maybe something went wrong, rebooted the phone and I couldn't enter recovery mode(VOL. UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON),I tried several times, took the battery out ,waited for several minutes and tried again,nothing...(the phone was soooo hot during this attempts to enter the recovey), I went down and flashed with odin a frimware, rooted the phone again, and flashed again the same modified neatrom(this time with PhilZ rom wipe),this time it worked, the phone booted up,setup everything was OK. I gone ahead and installed V6 supercharger + the patched services.jar, and greenify.
Now the problem is,even if you don't belive me(BUT IS TRUE), this mornig at 11:30 I put the phone at charging and it finished charging at 8 PM,thats like 8 hours of charging...(with the charger not with the usb plugged into the computer, and the 2000 mAh battery from Samsung),and while charging the phone was very very hot(no apps in background ,because of greenify),not to talk about the battery life, its HORRIBLE.
With neatrom 5.5 I did the same thing(greenify + V6 supercharger at 100%,and the stock PhilZ kernel),modified(to look like the S4 UI) the exact way as the 5.6 version and worked like a charm, the phone finished charging in 3 and a half hours,no overheating, the battery was superb,5 hours of screen time with 1 and a half day of standby and I kept that rom(5.5 version) for like 2 months.
The question is what to do?? Do I have to go to a samsung center is a hardware problem,or software? I use the stock kernel that comes with the rom(XWMS2 5.15.9 PhilZ).

I flashed the latest builds from both Coffebeans - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547778 and Pershoot - http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/roms/cm9/p4wifi/ and I'm having the same issue with both of them. The problem is my Tab will randomly reboot then get stuck on the boot animation and just sit there forever. It's already happened twice now where my Tab rebooted sometime at night and sat at the boot animation until the battery was dead. I did do a full wipe before flashing.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thanks.
i've ran both of those without any problems. did you come from another custom rom or from stock firmware?

I came from Task650's version 14, but I've been flashing the CM9 KANGs for a while and haven't had this issue.
i have had some strange reboots...but never gotten stuck on the boot animation like that..thats the bad part about not having a battery to yank unfortunately
Sent from a Gtab 10.1 running Build 30
Well whenever I can't get something to work right, I Odin stock firmware on it and restart the custom rom process from scratch. Having a clean slate is time consuming and might not even be necessary but it's the only full proof way I can get things to work.
I wiped everything and also formatted /system in CWM and then flashed Coffeebeans latest build from 4/8. I haven't had the reboot and stuck boot animation issue, but now I'm having an issue where every time I charge the tab fully it won't wake up. I have to hold the power button to reboot it. It seems like it's the deep sleep issue, but it's been fine leaving it overnight as long as it's not connected to the charger.
I was running CyanogenMod 10.1 on my GT-I9300 for several months and it worked great. But the other day I was using Google Navigation as a sat nav while driving and the battery went to 1% and the phone froze. Tried hard Reset ect but ended up having to remove the battery to turn it off.
When I had charged the phone I was stook at the Samsung Galaxy S logo screen and would not boot. I tried everything and several roms to get my phone back in working order.
For some strange reason I can only install CyanogenMod 9, which the wifi and mobile does not work at all so its of no use. When trying the CM10 builds I get stook at the same screen and if I use a Stock ROM I get stook at the Samsung blue animation logo in a boot loop.
Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Tried a couple of other roms installing through Clockwork Mod, including Phenom but only the CM9 one works.
Also just tried the KIES firmware installation, installed fine but on first boot its back into loop
I recently installed Dirty Unicorns along with JBX 0.8 Hybrid kernel in system 2 using BMM on a GSM XT910. I've installed the kernel before, but I've never had it replace the motorola boot image before getting to recovery with the JBX logo. Can anybody tell me why that boot logo before recovery would have changed and how I'd go about changing it back?
Furthermore, there seems to be a discrepancy between battery stats on DU and the stock rom. For example, today the stock rom says the battery is at 30 % which is consistent to what the battery level was according to BMM (3%). When I booted into DU it said it was at 49%. I've tried wiping the battery stats, but I imagine it'll be a while before I know if this solves the problem. Has anyone else experienced this before?
Lastly, my phone doesn't seem to go into deep sleep. I'm new to trickster mod and don't have much experience with fiddling around with the kernel. My phone seemed to be doing very well, it was at 100% charge for five hours but then it rebooted itself and the cpu was constantly running at 1000 MHz which is the max value I set. At the time I was using Performance Control, and thought that might be the issue. I performed a wipe, reflashed, installed trickster mod and set up battery friend but my phone hasn't gone into deep sleep at all. What might I be doing wrong?
Edit: I probably should have added that the boot image is a problem to the thread title. If any mod wants to do that, I'd be grateful.
Just an update, the battery issues seem to be resolved with the battery friend majigger and wiping the battery stats. Although, I have the orange led for full battery but the level is at 76%. :/
Still don't understand the boot image, if anyone can explain.
I did the same thing and it freaked me out for a bit After searching I found the logo for the new Moto/Google logo and it also included the Original Logo. Downloaded the newer logo and the old logo, and I replaced the new logo with the old/original logo in the setup folder on my computer. Let the program do its thing, and I now have the original Moto logo back.
This is all explained at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340961
Good Luck. I just followed the directions there. The Original logo download is just below the RSD lite screenshot.
I'am having xperia mini pro ( mango ). Several weeks I was using FXP's CM 7.2, later decided to try LegacyXperia's CM 10.1, Installed it perfectly. Later that day noticed my battery drains very fast.. like 1 percent per 2~4 minutes. Thought to go back to CM 7.2, reflashed back succesfuly and the bug apeared.. I charged my phone to 100 percents, disconnected charger and battery drained to 0 per few seconds, phone turned off, tryed to turn on, but only red light keeps blinking. Connected to charger again, turned phone on, it says "charged" and 100 percent, but after disconnecting charger it dies again, can be my battery damaged or something? Tryed to wipe battery stats and clean phone under battery, nothing helps yet, any suggestions?

Try flashing your stock firmware with Flashtool. See if things are okay. If so, flash Rage kernel for CM7 (using command and not flashtool) and then install CM7. Rage kernel gets the best battery life in my opinion. Note that there are two Rage kernels. One for stock firmware and another for CM.

Change your kernel (you can find kernels here)
Hello Devs,
I have problem charging my s3 international version.
My phone is rooted and running custom rom s5 sensation v4.0 kitkat 4.4.2 with boeffla kernel v6.0 and latest CWM touch recovery.
I have flashed many custom roms before and all was working good before. The phone was also charging properly before.
But after some time when 4.3 was released I have flashed s4 revolution.
After flashing that rom my problem started.
1st problem was the phone was not gettin connected to my cell tower. Later after searching soo many hours on google I found out that it changed the efs version from v1 to v2. So I found out a rescue zip file which include only modem of xxemg4. I flashed it and then all was working good.
After some time I faced a problem of reverse charging means the phone is kept on charge but instead of charging the battery decrease. So again I searched on google about my problem and found out an app called galaxy charging current which show the power that is getting the phone while its connected to the charger. when I installed it and saw the current it was only showing max 100 min 999 and avg 100. I saw some where that the default current the phone should get is 1000 in max.
I searched alot on google on how to solve this problem, tried many diffrent rom , tried changing my charger, tried to flash back the previous rom which I was using in which I was not having any problem but after doing all this the result was same.
when I connect to the charger it shows 700 In max n after some time it keeps going down like 500 then 300 then last 100.
So after searching on google I have found out a solution of flashing custom kernel. I flashed googymax kernel in which using sTweak we can configure the battery power and ignore safety measures and unstable power.
After doing that my phone gets max 1000 min 1000 and avg 999.
My problem is that when ever I flash new rom I hav to flash custom kernel to ignore the unstable power and safety measures to properly charge my phone.
is there any way I can get back as before I was charging my phone without flashing custom kernel...???
Any answer will be appreciated.
Note :- I was using the original charger which I got in the box while purchasing.
First replace your battery, charger and lead, then flash full stock firmware with Odin.
What happens when you attempt to charge the phone completely off. Do you see the charging graphic?
If something is wrong with the micro-USB port then a wireless charging solution might be your only option.
You could try reloading the firmware using the Kies software on your PC - here's an overview of what to do:
- if you don't already have the Kies software installed on your PC, download it (just search Google) and install it. The first time it runs it'll update itself to the latest version so make sure you run it once before proceeding.
- put your phone in Download mode: with the phone completely off, press and hold the Volume Down and Home and Power buttons simultaneously, and release them all when you see the Samsung splash screen
- connect the phone to your PC with the USB cable that came with the phone
-- if you've never had the phone connected to your Windows-based computer before, you'll see messages about installing drivers, etc - just wait until this is done (may take 5 or 10 minutes) [I don't know what happens if you have a Mac - it probably just works]
- in the Kies software, select the second item in the Tools menu and just follow the prompts to enter the model number (in CAPS) and IMEI/Serial Number (both found under the battery - it's ok to remove the battery at this point)
- the Kies software should start downloading the correct firmware for your phone from the Internet; once that's done (depending on your Internet connection speed) it'll begin downloading that to the phone (this probably takes 10 minutes or so)
Thnaks for your rply

As u stated to change the battery, Charger, Lead and to full flash stock firmware.
I already did that.
I have tried my friends battery with his charger ( not the 1 which come in box ).
but then also its the same.
Whats the problem in it.
Is it a software fault or hardware fault....???

Thanks for the reply.
When I try to charge my phone when completely off, 1st it was showing me the graphics of battery charging when I was using 4.3 Custom Rom. But since I flashed my phone with 4.4 Custom Rom, I can't see the graphics of charging battery now.
As per your overview above I have tried all the possible ways to get back charging work properly ( your overview was also included in it ) but I dont get any success in it.
Now I have to compulsory flash custom kernel which supports the options of ignoring unstable power and safety measures.
But then also I will try to do what you told me.
Once again thanks.
