Nope. I was asking for my brother. I'll give it a go though. I was just curious as to if anyone here had any experience with it.

Yes it works.

Patience goes a long way my man.
Yes, you can accept the update and still root your phone. Just follow TeamEpic instructions exactly and you'll be good to go.

First of all, answering would only encourage posting in the wrong section to get answers quickly.
Secondly, your question was already answered. What did you expect me to help with?

Anyone has old version of GoSMS?

What's up guys.
Does anyone have a link, or can send me an old version of GoSms, version 2x, even 1x. I'm looking for the old ones without all the bloat crap that new one has.
Thanks

Did you search yourself and found a version older than the one i found? Or you're just saying that it is how I should search? Of course I tried searching typing version numbers, but no luck. But thanks for your awesome help...mods, please delete this thread.

I know, but I have some fears with rooting and flashing roms. If I mess up my phone, I don't know if I'd have the money to get a new one for a while.

The only way you could hard brick your phone is if your s off and you mess with your hboot or radios.
The rest can always be fixed.

Thanks for the assurance. I'll have to look into rooting a little more to get a better idea of what to do.

Things to search for (xda or Google)
- HTC dev Site for unlocking bootloader
- hasoon2000's All in one toolkit (for unlocking, flashing recovery)
- ICS RUU for updating firmware. If you are on gingerbread firmware, you will need to update

i was scared at first as well with rooting and it took myself a while to convince my brain to do it. but like mentioned above, you cant break your phone unless you s-off, and once you learn how to flash regularly, you wont have any worries of breaking anything
