[Q] Battery level and SD card problem - Motorola Droid RAZR

I used to have Cyanognenmod 10.1.3 installed on my phone, then I wanted to install CM 11. I figured out I had to update safestrap first - from v3.11 to v3.65.
After I updated safestrap, I was able to install the CM 11 and the 4.3.0 Gapps, because the KitKat 4.4 Gapps version did not install when I tried it. But ever since I'm using CM 11, I've been having problems with baterry level (it doesn't appear to update unless I reboot my phone) and and SD card (SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem) considering I can still save stuff on it.
Did I do something wrong? What should I do to solve it?

Up
I flashed the last nightly and instead of using the KK 4.4.2 Gapps (it didn't install) I went with 4.4.
I'm calibrating the battery using an application from Play Store, after it's done I'll update about the results.
The SD Card problem persists, my Razr won't recognize it, when I open "storage/sdcard1" file, there is only "/Android" data file on it, but when I open my SD Card on desktop with SD adapter it shows everything (Music, Images, Video, etc.). The SD format is already FAT32.

CWM defaults to wrongs sd card

Using CWM v6.0.4.5 and CM11 on a Nook Tablet 8.
I've been playing with CM 10.1 and 10.2, installing everything manually
with CWM5x. Recently updated CWM and am now running CM11. (no TWRP).
For the first time I am trying to install nightlies using Settings/AboutTablet/CyanogenModUpdates. It downloads then reboots to CWM. CWM then cannot find the update (E:failed to open /storage/sdcard0/cmupdater/cm-11-...) because in the first step of the updater leaves the zip on sdcard1:
(/storage/sdcard1/cmupdater/cm-11-...) I can manually install the zip from sdcard1 but I want to get the automated update to complete as intended.
I tried to begin the process with no SD card installed thinking that sdcard0 is internal but the download just waits until a SD card is inserted. Since I installed CWM6 I have the ability to choose from sdcards 0 and 1. Don't remember having that choice before.
Any ideas how I can get the download destination and the CWM to default to the same drive?

i personally have never been able to download a cm update and let it update automatically. if i do, it turns into a bootloop or something crazy. i jus use the cm update to download. and then instal via cwm. also the previous cwm DID have the "storage 1 or storage 0: choices but it was called instead, "choose sd card" or "choose internal storage" sd card meaning the "1" and internal meaning the "0". i mean from wut i understand the structure of the system in NT doesnt really allow auto update. because it has to work around the stock barnes and noble bootloader. unlike the nook color where its capable of auto update. so basically u always have to manual update unless ive got my hands on a demon tablet.
More detail
Mine worked fine ... even w/ CM11 until I did a factory reset (prior to that I just cleared cache and davlik) ... now I have to install from CMUpdater folder manually ... also - some of the apps that were available prior to the factory reset will not show up in the play store now - TV Guide and Playmaker (buzztime trivia) specifically ... says I have an incompatible device now ... again this worked fine w/ the early nightlies of CM11, but not since the factory reset.

You might want to check (from your PC) Google Play Store -> Settings -> My Devices and see if your NT appears as different models before and after the factory reset.
I had a similar problem in that after the upgrade from 10.2.0 to 11 some apps became unavailable ("incompatible") in the Play Store, include a few already installed apps that still run just fine after the "dirty" flash of 11 on top of 10.2!!!

Interesting ... it shows the nook tablet, but says it was last used in August ... what if anything can be done about this?

Another potential factor at play here is that somewhere between 10.1 and 11 (I can't recall which release) the serial number of the NT no longer gets picked up by CM (and presumably passed onto apps/services that might use it for tracking purpose).

Can I do anything about it? The thing is basically a blank slate at this point because I haven't re-installed most of my apps ... if I'm going to mess with it in a major way now is the time.
Updating again and I find that the reason for it not working is that the drive designations are not consistent.
Running Android:
Internal storage is /storage/sdcard1
External SD card is /storage/sdcard0
Running CWM:
Internal storage is /storage/sdcard0
External SD card is /storage/sdcard1
So when settings/AboutTablet/CyanogenModUpdates passes the file location and reboots into CWM, the zip file can't be found.

[Trouble] Viewing SD Card Contents on Lollipop ROMs

Currently using a DNA with S-Off, TWRP, SU.
Up until a few days ago, I was going back and forth between @santod040's 5.0.1 GPE port (http://forum.xda-developers.com/dro...m-google-play-edition-lollipop-v1-00-t2964089) and 5.0.2 LiquidSmooth (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522989). No SD card issues whatsoever on either ROM.
Recently, when going back and forth once again, I stupidly decided that it would be a good idea to wipe the SD card in between the standard Factory Reset -> reflash cycle to get a completely clean slate to work with. I did this via TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Internal Storage.
Simply put, it did not do what I had expected it would. The SD contents was not wiped out (according to TWRP's file browser), and I was subsequently able to push and flash the 5.0.1 GPE port successfully. However, I first noticed a problem when trying to install Swiftkey - the language file wouldn't save to internal storage. Pulled down Root Explorer from the Play Store quickly and tried to access the SD card and was only able to see "empty" directories (see attached screen shot).
Rebooting back into recovery, I was still able to see the full contents of the SD card, and the "empty" directories were displaying their contents per usual. Rebooted back into the ROM, same "empty" folders once again.
Reboot back into recovery, flash @santod040's 4.4.2 stock/rooted offering (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2560010), and can view the SD card contents in Root Explorer without issue. Since then, I have shuffled around between the previously mentioned GPE port, LiquidSmooth, 5.0.2 NuSenseSIX (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2698088), and the stock KitKat build.
All 3 of these Lollipop selections cannot see the SD card contents, but the stock KitKat ROM can.
What the hell did I screw up, is there a fix for it, and if so, what might it be? Any and all thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated - this is driving me crazy!

SD Card File permissions messed up (brand new flash Viper 4.5.0/full-wipe)

Hey,
I just did a full-wipe/factory reset (delete all data) on both my SD card and my internal storage. I pushed over the viper install, and installed it as I normally would have. Aroma doesn't give me any errors, and the phone boots up w/o any errors either.
Honestly everything works perfectly, aside from non-system apps which are writing to the SD card.
Snapchat videos don't load (says please mount SD card)
Swiftkey doesn't work because it can't download any language packs.
Maps crashes on launch, and Waze crashes after I logged in (I'm assuming it can't download any actual map files).
So far those are the only apps I've noticed, but I'm sure there's more which I haven't loaded up yet.
System apps and File explorers can see the SD card fine (Stock Camera app saves to SD and it works) and ES file explorer can see the card too.
I've tried running Rom Manager and running the fix permissions options, as well as TWRP's fix permissions script too. No luck on either.
Originally the card was FAT32 (vfat on TWRP), and I've tried EXT4, exFAT, and FAT32 again via TWRP and no luck.
Previous rom was Viper 4.3, and my FW is 5.0.x. SCID as well.
Any one know what's going on?

[Q] "no external storage" on Xperia L KitKat ROMs

Hey guys,
I've tried so many things now, but somehow the internal sdcard is not working on Xperia L with CM11.
Problem:
After clean flashing, when I open the camera app is crashes instantly. Other camera apps say they need an external storage. The gallery says "no external storage"
In the file browser I see a lost+found folder but can't open it or do anything (write/read) even with root access .
I tried pac_taoshan-nightly-20141214, and FXP-cm-11-20150301-UNOFFICIAL-taoshan. (all KitKat based)
I'm using TWRP 2.8.7.0.
Before, I was using the latest official cm12.1 nightly for xperia l. Lollipop was getting a bit heavy my phone so I decided to switch back. When on cm12.1 I had formatted the cache and data partitions to f2fs, sdcard0 was ext4. There no major issues.
Before flashing to Kitkat I wiped everything and formatted everything to ext4.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My external sd card is working fine.
After all this i flashed the original xperial L firmware 4.2.2, and on it everything worked fine. the camera worked, the pictures saved and opened in the album app.
Re-rooting and flashing kitkat brought the problem back.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any help would be appreciated.
A solution would be better.

SD Card issue

So here is the process I went through that made me unable to read my SD Card
Before anything happened, I had CM13 on my Redmi Note 3 phone until 2 days ago, (my sd card was still fine) upon updating to CM14 (from Android 6 to 7.1) my google play kept crashing, so I read that I needed the 7.1 GAPPS version (which i forgot to do) so... I downloaded the PICO version of android 7.1 package and flashed it on my phone... than not only did google play error, but calendar and a bunch others....
so what I decided to do, is revert to the backup I made RIGHT BEFORE i updated anything (like any normal person would do) BUT I saw my SD card wouldnt be found in TWRP, so I went inside my phone to see if my phone recognizes my SD card... and nope, its also not in my file manager, so I went back into twrp and a couple menu's that allow you to select a stroage showed my SD card as 0mb.... weird.... so I took out my SD card from "Broken Phone #1" and put it into "OLD Phone #2" and my files on the SD card are there... alright, made a backup of my SD Card to my computer and formatted the SD card on "OLD Phone #2"... and nothing.
Still not showing on "Broken Phone #1".
I'd like to note that I cant mount the SD card in twrp... i think it doesnt recognize it at all.
So what makes me think theres no issue with my phone's pins, is that I hadnt even REMOVED the tray before the problem started to appear.
Currently my phone is OS' less since i tried reverting to my "stock" CM13 (not 14) and that didnt work so i wiped system cache and data.
I can put in an OS again if it will help to fix the issue, but thats where im currently at, I would love some help from anyone with any suggestions.
Thank you for your time.
