[Q] Failed to root - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
First of all I want to state that I am a complete noob with this kind of stuff. I have tried to root my galaxy s3 using a method including odin v3 and a file named: CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar.
This completes without any errors. It also installed supersu. When I open that app, it sais I do not have the binaryfile and it connot be updated. It has something to do with me running android 4.3.
Then I tried rooting my device using kingoroot. I noticed it said my device was not rooted at the start. Again this method completed without any errors.
But again the same error. The binary. When I checked the root status with the kingoroot application it said my device was not rooted.
Framaroot did not work either. (The procces did not even start because it could not use the exploit and it returned error #6)
Is there another method available to root my device? Or is there a way to update the binary?
Thanks in advance,
Stabbler

Struggling with root

Hi guys I recently rooted my phone and thought that if I could refresh my tablet a bit with a new rom Id use it more so I decided to root that too.
I have followed a lot of the guides on here but am really having issues. The Superuser app just will not work, I have copying and pasting in the new version and rooting again, I have tried unrooting and doing it again with no superuser.apk file at all or a bin superuser file and still no.
I cant even check if the device is rooted correctly as root checker just will not come up with a result it just loads forever.
I tried installing SuperSU instead but it gets stuck on installing then it says there is another programme that may be conflicting and then it just gives up too.
What to I need to do to root this thing and have a working supersu/user app?!?
Thanks

I had the exact same issue just the other day. Is the rom a 4.3 version. They are apparently a little finicky. First, open developer options, and under the root part allow apps and adb. Then I flashed the supersu from this site here , and finally I simply re flashed the rom I wanted, and it worked.

[Q] Lost Root After OTA Update, I Can't Get It Back. Any Help?

So i rooted my Samsung galaxy ring SPH-M840 with framaroot (the most recent version) and didnt know about the OTA survival option in superuser so when i updated i lost root or partially lost root (im not sure). i cant update the binary with superuser or supersu, i cant unistall superuser either.
Now when i try to root with the Gandalf exploit that worked the first time it throws a #13 error and fails
I tried every method under the sun that i know of to try and root this thing again but nothing has worked.
Any advice would be very helpful.

I don't know if it ever received an OTA update, but I just rooted a M840 after several tries. Only Framaroot 1.7.0 worked, and I ran Gandalf exploit twice before rebooting.
Root after OTA!
There is an App named Towel-Root, and here you must only Download/Installation the Towel-Root-App, start it, and the App Rooting the Device in seconds, and installs a SuperUser-Binary!
That works for me on my last 3-Devices! Just in Google search Towel-Root-App, and you should find the App easy!

BLU Studio 5 HD LTE Y534Q - Root Method

I have seen roots posted for the Y530Q but not the Y534Q. I tried Framaroot (1.9.1). It only gives the Aragon option and fails. Kingroot both offline (APK) and via PC fails. The RootGenius method posted here, also fails.
Kingo Root worked for me:
Uninstall any other methods you have tried.
Install the adb-driver-installer here.
Install and run Kingo.
Check your Superuser app after the root is successful. You may need to allow it to update. If so, choose the normal method.
I hope this helps.
This method Works!
Thanks man nice little tool.:good::good:
Note: Mine didnt read the blu phone till i rebooted my PC.
KINGO IS A FAUX ROOT METHOD (Don't Use)
Use WondershareGO which you can easily find a .torrent for on KAT or TPB and use the "One Click Root" Method w/o any data loss and a TRUE rooted bianary!
Need Help
i tried this method and the PC seems to recognize the phone, also the kingo ROOT program and even it install a APK on the phone, tried 4 times and even reboot the PC but it doesnt seem to work it always fails, do i have to do a special process or someting?

Can't root

I tried Ghetto Root, it claims that it was successful, but SuperSU never gets installed, the only effect is Knox starts force closing at bootup.
I tried ChainFire AutoRoot, I get "FAIL!" After "Nand Write Start".
I'm running stock 4.4.2 on Verizon Note 2. Please help! This is so frustrating. Thank you
UPDATE!*
After working on this all day, I was able to successfully root by using the all in one package posted by NetworkingPro on the 3rd page of the GhettoRoot thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/not...ghettoroot-v0-1-towelroot-port-t2864125/page3 )
SuperSU does NOT show up under installed apps, you have to install it manually and update binaries (through the app).
Hope this helps someone!

How do I root my SGH-T989?

Hi, I've been finding a method on how to root my phone for 3 days but I didn't had any luck. So I followed the odin method and I finished it but when I go to root checker to check if I'm rooted, it says "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device". Please help me with this. I need to root this device in order for me to expand my RAM.
