The optimus one roms will not work on the optimus s. However, I think the roms over in the optimus v forum work on the optimus s.

Hello New Optimus G owner here

Hello I swapped out a lumia 920 for an optimus g today! i owned a sprint version but im no longer with spwint
Any recommended roms that's both stock'esh reliable and optimized? Is the development community thriving?
Did you purchase your LGOG from Sprint? If so, you will probably want to switch over to the Sprint LG Optimus G forum. There are distinct differences between the two versions and you could end up bricking your phone if you flash a ROM for the E970 (AT&T version).
If you do have the E970 LGOG I highly recommend houstonn's RootBox ROM.

OP welcome and yes the Development in here is very active, the AT&T LG Optimus G E970 (AT&T version) ensure you have the correct Forum regarding your device...there are different versions.
If you are correct; there are great things happening >> Here & >> Here. All the ROMs are great and have support from the Community.
Again ensure you have the correct version of the LG OG.
Thank You.

LG Optimus Zone roms?

are there any roms for the LG optimus zone? i've done a search on google, xda, and allthingsroot with no success. Can you use any of the LG optimus l series roms? I know the answer to the second question is most likely no because the optimus zone is CDMA and the l series are GSM but I can dream.
I too am looking for roms.

Wish SOMEONE Would make a rom
They have CM9 for the Optimus L3, and it would ba\e AWESOM if someone could port it to our device. It's basically the EXACT same hardware

[Q] So...what does "geeb" mean

I *think* I've figured out that "geeb" refers to the ATT E970*, but sometimes it seems to mean any of the E97x series. How/why/what? Am I mis-understanding something?
*Which I have, and have run a couple version of CM and now SlimKat.

Geeb is the codename for only the LG Optimus G E970

It's the E970's codename, just like Mako is N4, and N5 is Hammerhead.

Thank you! I did search both the forums and google-wide for a definition. I did later in an unrelated thread find someone asking a similar question about other variants, something like "geeah" and such. I wish folks would stick w/ the E970 name.
Trying to track down what's in a release is tricky, when dealing w/ base level OS version, ASOP, a mod-team name, and line or particular model of phone, a kernel version with a fancy pet-named add-on pack...

Is everyone aware about this?

I dont know if anyone is aware, the sprint LG G3 subforum is lacking in kernels and roms. If you want other roms or kernels go to the LG G3 Android Development. not sprint. Almost all of the roms and kernels support LS990. I'm using Xenon HD with the AOSP 777 kernel. Euphoria OS 1.1 also works fine. They are not GSM only and most of them support all variants.

Ive been using cloudyrom g3 2.5 has most g4 port including system ui, also on google + there is a banned member from xda who made lion rom 5.1 and it is amazing for the most part. So weird that the other variants have a lot more custom roms than in the sprint lg g3 subforum. I guest sprint variant is least popular...

Right? I just found this out. I love my LG G3. Like a lot. I haven't enjoyed a nice android device in a long time, and I was just hoping to help everyone out since the subforum for the sprint variant isnt as busy with new stuff.
Me and @engine95 have beening working on kernel so don't count us out
