Hi there, So, I have this kindle fire I bought and it was running cyanogenmod, and then kindle app started not to open. Called Amazon, checked online, noo help. So I rebooted from recovery mode, accidently deletd the apparently only os it had on it, now it turns on in recovery mode, shows me it has the new kindle os on it, (thought I might revert back to original os to see if kindle app would work), but it wont boot from it. It starts with the kindle fire screen, but does not progress from there. Also, it won't be recognized by my mac anymore, so I can't get new install programs to it. What can I do? I think If I could get my hands on a windows computer, I might be able to get it going again? I have no knowledge of this except for what I have mentioned. I can probably wing it if I have detailed instructions, but without my computer recognizing the unit, I am stuck. Thanks for any help.
ug.I am visiting serbia now. My kindle is about 20 days old. I rooted it, safestrapped etc. Now I like the Kindle so much that I want to upgrade to the 64gb version. So I decided to unroot it without a pc, did a factory wipe which even deleted my stock backup so no OS available to restore. tried to power up and got as far as language choice then keeps going back to same page. So I tried a power down up and it just stays on same screen after I get thru the twrp screen. I dont have a pc available here. I want to at least rid this device of any rooting/twrp/safestrap stuff before I send back to Amazon
Any advice on this?
Fixed! As a last resort, I held the power key for a whole minute while kindle appeared to be resetting
A number of times with my finger stayed on the power button. It then powered up correctly and now runs like
A charm. So for now I am wondering if I really should pursue getting the 64 Gb version.
Hopefully this simple fix will help others.
as i know you´re hdx is bricked
you show grey kindle logo? you are bricked your device and since know we have not solution
I hope someone can help me.
Tablet down...lol
Ok so I got a KF fire 8.9 HDX a week ago.
It was came with 14.3.5 (trying to remember)
ADB did work and was setup properly, no issues there (Windows 7)
I could not root it with any of the tools posted.
I noticed that all the tools seemed to work with 14.3.10.
I manually updated it to 14.3.10
I was able to root it.
I did install Safestrap
I was trying to flash a 2nd ROM and I guess I did something wrong.
I did do a restore to Rom2 from my backup. I also did that for ROM 1 to make sure I could reboot the unit.
Now the problems:
1. I am stuck on the Kindle Fire screen (the first screen just the white Kindle Fire logo). I can reboot into the stock restore/recovery.
2. I did wipe and picked option 2 to restore
3. Nothing happens on reboot, it just sits back on the white Kindle Fire logo
I suspect that the bootloader on this unit was blocking fastboot therefore I could not finish the proper setup with the tools here to install 2nd boot loader TWRP.
Can someone please assist.
Thanks:good:

You didn't feel as though one thread started was enough to help you or or the 10 other brick threads that have no real answers .. There is no fix for you at least currently besides calling Amazon and having them send you another tab good luck and do your homework
Alright I know I have seen the things that my device might get bricked and I took the risks. So I had 1.3.2.1 Amazon OS and I got safestap and I got a ROM I didnt make a backup though :/ And today I wanted to update my kindle by uninstalling recovery for safe stap on stock os. BUT stock os wouldnt load it keeps staying at the logo. So I tried to reset the kindle by pressing volume button and power button. And now my stock rom still doesnt work but I still have safestrap. (3.70) and my rom slot 1 is gone :/ anyone can help?

If you read all warnings then you know there is no real help. Besides that all your information is misleading your version numbers are incorrect for your tablet your version number is incorrect for your safestrap and the procedure in which you use is this own detail inaccurate and not the way you use safestrap. Obviously not heedingg any of the warnings.. Or not even bothering to read the complete directions and or correlating thread on the correct use for anything. Otherwise you would not be in this predicament. My advice is to call Amazon get a replacement then do not attempt to modify your replacement if you enjoy using your Amazon Kindle.
Ok so I've tried looking through these forums for several months in an attempt to find something that will get my kindle fire HD 7" out of it's boot loop that I put it in while trying to root. Turns out I skipped a step.. Anyways, so far I cant even get it to show up as a drive on my computer. It will show up in the device manager and I bought the factory fastboot cable so it will go to fastboot. However, I've tried using system restore programs such as kindle fire first aide and the SR tool. KFFA has been the most productive in the sense it will attempt to restore my kindle back to factory but fails to download the required files from drop box. It moves past all that saying no error and tells me to reboot my kindle, which then returns to looping at the Kindle icon. I'm seriously stumped here as no help program I've seen has been able to do anything so far. Amazon said the warranty ended a year ago and to buy a new one. Any help would be much appreciated and if you don't mind reply like I'm computer illiterate because this was my first attempt at rooting anything.
Thanks!
