Buy sandisk SD, every other brand has small random writes (= very slow to run os on)
Nah, that's not the issue here, I have to do things to kernel
And after that replace virtual partition by real one
Then it should be fast

and seems like all I get is a "WAITING FOR SD CARD" message that takes for ever
and ever
and doesnt do more than that
I already added the "code" to the STARTUP.txt for this
and still the same.... does anyone or is there a way to make this work for god sake!!!>>>

have you took out rel_android or something similar ?
it lets haret search for android bootfiles(sdcard afaik for now) in folder andboot or whatever is listet behind rel_android.
the rel is surely right search for rel_ !
i suppose thats the issue

It's not the rel_path, at all. Either look at F22's kernel discussion thread - there's a fix in the first post. Or, my personal preference - just update to a newer kernel.. AFAIK 1258+ this bug has been squashed (clocks issue).

Which ROM you have installed in Winmo does not matter.
Kernels are stored in the root of your SD card - zImage and the modules-blahblahblah.tar.gz files - I suggest reading the multiple sticky threads in this forum, there is information about kernel updates.
Also, if an updated kernel does not fix your problem, then most likely your SD card is wonky, try another one.
can somebody develop a clean custom rom for samsung galaxy ace .I have tried using villain rom .but it doesn't have any good features of a custom rom.please somebody post a rom that allows to increase the processor speed and nandroid backup

read specification for our processor and you'll see that it already overclocked at the factory.
i've heard from one of my friend that the processor was factory overclocked.but a custom rom will improve the performance.i tried using villain rom .it was having too much of bugs..i shifted back to kp8....its really good.....no bugs nothing.......
Try using KPE, less buggy tnah KP8.

I read somewhere that the processor of sga is the turbo version of the 600mhz variant. Contrary to many assumptions it is not factory overclocked. The post is somewhere in the sga thread.
The processor runs at 800 MHz, 600 is the speed of the non-turbo version.

hey do you have problems like copying file from computer to sd card?
hey guys, im a having serious headache here.
few days ago i changed my sd card from 2GB to 4GB and i flashed my phone to the lastest firmware (S5830XXKPE) and rooted it.
i connected my phone to the computer via usb to copy songs and some files into my sd card. however it hangs and become unresponsive while transfering files into sd card. and so i cant copy files from computer into my sd card! well, i did try by using micro sd card reader, the copy process goes smoothly BUT when i put in the sd card back to my phone, it shows nothing in it!! as if i dint copy anything!!
HELPPPPPPP !! is it the SD card problem or the firmware problem ?? i guess it is not the firmware problem since i have been browsing through so many threads from various forum and couldnt find anything related about this. any ideas about this problem ???

Seriously, after months of desperation SGA is growing ... thanks to devs like you!
Well.. I'm not a full dev. But I'm sure I can pull something very stable out of it. The phone deserves it. Will get to work soon..

I hope you can work with dee000000 who is working on a cyanogenmod port. At first it is not stable but as development goes further until it becomes stable it will be a nice custom rom. Well this is just an idea

Given the limited internal memory, you would be stuck with the SD-card way in either case. Just not enough room to fit two ROMs there. So, similar projects are kinda not useful on this device.

You need to give some more information first
What's your device?
What's your kernel?
What's your sd's filesystem?
Do you have a swap partition on it?
Do you mean GDX v21?

Yesterday my venstar 2050 stuck at android logo. Then i search internet and flashed rom for very same device specification
It works but the touchscreen bluetooth and wifi isn't functioning. Not to mention the display became very weird.
So, does anyone have firmware for this tablet?
I really need it, please.
Or if someone have the tablet fully working. I want the ROM backup

Mine have 4gb, so I guess it will not work in yours. Im at the office right now, when I get to home this night I will searhc the tablet for the file.
Maybe you can edit the file to fit your system?

Finally I have 5,17 GB as my internal. The method is to edit parameter file with RK3XX tool, and it works like charm
