i have rooted xperia u . i am using terra rom ics for the past 2 months . its awesome and i didn't find any lag while using.now the problem is all my android frndz are using jelly bean in their phone . i am also willing to update my phone to jelly bean but i want the same performance as terra rom while using jelly bean.if any user using jb rom on xperia u please share your experience with your rom so that i can update my phone.sorry for my bad English

Btw there are a lot of jb roms! It's up to you to choose the one that fits your needs. Now we have even a more or less bugless kk rom!

Hi dude,
I'm using stock jb on my Xperia u, initially its found very cool and fast. After routine use, I noticed some lag while receiving calls. Then i referred few forums and found system/app mover and no bloat apks. After installing those apks, I uninstalled bloatwares and moved system apps to user apps( so I could freeze the unused system in built apps).
Overall jb is must have for all rooted Xperia u users.
Let me know, if detailed explanation required.
Press help, if my input helped you.

Try cm10 le
When kk will be more stable you could switch to it
Inviato dal mio Xperia U utilizzando Tapatalk

I was using cm 10.2 and last version is very fast and doesn't have a lot of bugs. Now i am using cm 11 which is fast too but it has more bugs than cm 10.2.

According to me stock JB runs better than stock Ics on our phone
Try ThundeStrike Rom its one of the best stock JB Rom
You may also try CM10...much snappier than stock roms...but you wont get working illumination bar(only bug) in Cm10

[4.2][YP-GI1CW][DEODEXED][ZIPALIGNED] Light/Stock Rom

Hey everybody! I took the stock Rom from our device and deodexed it, zipaligned and rooted it. Maybe I will add a Holo themed one later. For copyright reasons I deleted AngryBirds, FIFA and NeedForSpeed.
Thanks to Ozelot64 it's now buildnumber XXLF1, Android 2.3.6.
THIS IS MADE FOR THE EUROPEAN VERSION!
BUT it seems to work on US-Players, too!
For a Galaxy S4 themed Version look here.
There's a light Version, too, with useless (at least for me) apps removed and boot sound disabled.
Removed Apps:
Angry Birds
ChatON
Choco Font
Cool Jazz Font
Ebooks
EA Games
Email
FactoryTest
Fifa
FM Radio
ForestLiveWallpaper
Google Plus
Homescreen Tipps
Kies Air
NeedForSpeed
NetMovies
QuickOffice
Rose Font
SamsungApps Widget
SimDetachNotifier
Smart View
Social Hub
SyncParts oft Social Hub (SnsAccount, SnsProvider)
Voice Recorder
WipeReceiver (Part of Samsung Remote Wipe)

How to install:
-Download and flash the CWM-Kernel (Thanks to zaclimon!)
-Copy GP4.2.zip on your SD-Card
-Make a Backup
-Wipe System Partition
-Wipe Data/Cache
-Wipe Dalvik
-Flash it through Recovery!
-Flash zaclimon's WlanFix if Wifi won't work for you
-Enjoy!
I first had problems flashing this rom, but formating system Partition helped. Update Script doesn't seem to work right yet, will try to fix this soon.

[XU][Stock JB] Illumination Bar Fix

Hello Guys,
After lots of trying & failing, I finally succeeded to get the illumination bar working in Stock JB. It now works like ICS and you can use it on all Stock JB ROM without flashing ICS first.
Note 1: I saw that Little Zed had a thread about this but since my method is a bit different than his, I decided to create a new thread. Hope no one's angry
Note 2: After flashing the zip----
SP light effects will be gone.
Illumination Receiver will be gone.
Install Illumination Bar Notification. It will work like ICS.
Initial Boot Led will work
This should solve the "Screen Always On" problem.
Walkman & Album will change color according to selection.
Note 3: If you ever wipe data, you'll need to flash this again.
Instructions
1) Flash via recovery
2) After booting led will be white. Just change theme and led color will work.
ChangeLog
V1:
- fixed bash script
V2:
- fixed end message :silly:
- fixed progressbar glitch.
- added a little sleep time during flashing
- no need to flash if you're using V1
F.A.Q
- if after flashing led doesn't work, then see this post HERE
~~Credits~~

NONE, including first boot.
Even working with Illumination Bar Notifier by @rundgong!
HOW DID YOU DO THIS? No, no, don't tell either me or everyone, I just loved your magic…
I'm using an improved-by-me mixture of @DevSwift1's V3 based in 6.2.A.0.400 and others based in 6.2.A.1.100 (from them I mostly included newer apps, so it's mainly 6.2.A.0.400 yet but so stable as newer one). I won't change this primary ROM even if KitKat is released as stable as Jelly Bean for Xperia™ U.
I'd install KK as secondary ROM only.
By the way, cleverly written line:
Code:
delete("/system/app/SemcIlluminationSetting.apk");
You've thought of everyone who might has installed that mod of Xperia™ SP light effects! You don't deserve that name…
EDIT: Oh, you were telling us about it in OP's note 2… I was as enthusiastic as you that I didn't read it before… LOL!
Ok, I'm piping down now. I just didn't know how to thank you, ouch… O[]ò"

Do i9100 ROMS work with i9100p?

Thinking about replacing my RAZR I with the s2 due to much better ROM support. Want to get one with the NFC (i9100p) but will all i9100 ROMs work with it? Or cant I use them/ I will lose NFC if I do/
Sent from my XT890 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Yes, but no NFC with I9100 roms 'as is'; there may be mods that enable it, not 100% sure on that - do a search & see what you dig up on that score.

Well i'm not sure about this. As i don't have this device.
But you can check by flashing roms on your phone.
No, you will not brick your phone if you flash I9100 roms on an I9100P. It is the same device except for NFC capabilities, which as I've already mentioned, and as the OP already knew, won't work straight off the bat with I9100 roms (and may not work at all).
And I'd expect RC's to know this stuff (if you're guessing, don't post in the first place).
Sorry for that mate. I edited my post. Thanks for this .

Ok thanks a lot! And oh well everyone makes mistakes. Thanks for all your help guys. If i asked a question on razr i forum would take a good 1 or 2 weeks for a reply due to low development.
