You can, I've seen it done before.

The TW camera depends on the tw framework. I can't imagine how it would be possible to get it to work

I'm probably guessing it's can be done by porting the app then opening it with eclipse and changing some code :victory:

Yes, it kind of works on the international S3 I believe but definitely not on the S4. It's just too hard, TW camera is dependent on Odexed TW framework.

why? other apps have been taken from Samsung devices. aNote from the Note 8 runs on my HTC One. if TW is the issue then somebody can pull the app from the Google Play version of the S4.
Learn how to then.

It seems you are only going to get flamed here. I would see if you can find the apk in the google play edition rom for the S4 and see if someone can give you a hand porting it over. My guess is if it works on that rom it will likely work on any rom/phone

trying really hard to win the "**** of the week" award? if you don't want to help or cant you can do so without being an asshole.
Nope. You can't pull the apk from the Google okay edition since it needs the framework from tw to function. Unless you can get it ported you're outta luck.

Might as well get used to not using it. The Samsung calendar needs Samsung framework. Its call building brand loyalty. Why do you think so many still use an iphone.

I actually prefer the look of sCalendar as well. It's missing some basic functions (like custom repeating events, etc), but I really like the look and ease of view switching.
As this is getting no where and the info is easily searched for and found.

Yes, it's specific to the Samsung's newer phones running on touchwiz.
I wonder if that could be ported to the DNA. Hmm..

Rom slot not working- SS 3.71

First off, if this is in the wrong area I apologize. Please move it Mods, or tell me where it needs to go.
I am running ss 3.71 on my verizon mk2 s4. For some reason when I create a rom slot and try to boot it up i get passed the splash screen then nothing. No button lights or reaction to any of the buttons, just a black screen. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance fellas

Yes. Tried booting with and without a rom installed. I run the same version of ss on my fire hdx and it worked fine the first time. Also when I go to make the partition I can only change the data size. It won't allow me to change the others.
should I try uninstalling SS and re installing it?

When I did my HDX the rom slot opened and ran on the stock rom then I made changes to it. This should work the same on my GS4 right??
I just tried creating the slot again, same issue.

And its definitely the Eclipse for Safe strap?? If so maybe try and load a different ROM on that slot just to see what you get then. If you can get into SS to do all this I wouldn't think SS is the problem myself.

Well like josh said whatever one you do chose must be a 4.3 TW ROM since you're on a Safestrap S4. The only one I could suggest is Hyperdrive. But there's a few from what I've been seeing.

If you're gonna buy xda premium just buy tapatalk pro just in case you join any other forum. Even if you don't it still has features not included in xda premium. XDA screwed their app when they updated to tapatalk 4

Nope, it needs to be modded in to the incall.apk. easiest way is to just use a rom that already has it.

What I would really like is to keep stock with a few enhancements..
Call record and Remove Tether provisioning.
Is there any way to do that and keep the rest stock. I have no problem with stock other than those two issues.
To be honest. I have had a few issues with custom ROMS. Not knocking the DEVS at all (That group of people are untouchable as far as I'm concerned), I'm just to old and set in my ways to constantly be flashing a ROM.

Just curious. I am working on recompiling and customizing the dialer app to be black like the international one and was wondering if you had any experience in doing that?

I recently had to reinstall everything on my computer due to a crash so I need to get java and everything setup.
Going to try a few other different tools and see if I can get this thing just to recompile correctly first.
Everytime (before the resetup of my computer) that I used either your tool, another one I found online, or the apktool.jar directly without even changing anything I put a recompiled copy back in the phone and it wouldn't work.
Despite not getting any errors when I recompiled the apk.
If I copy in and out the file do I need to remove the odex file too do you think?
Sorry for hijacking your thread sickness.
