Note: By default, your application will be installed on the internal storage and cannot be installed on the external storage unless the developer defines this attribute to be either "auto" or "preferExternal".
Install ALL apps to SD
However, it is possibly to force everything to be installed on external SD. I think this is the ONLY way you can do it, and then you have to move anything back to internal memory (such as widgets) which need to be there.
Using adb.exe (this is part of the android developer kit, but is also part of r5-desire-root (which you used to root your phone), available here: http://android.modaco.com/content/ht...-1-21-support/
adb will be called adb-windows adb-mac or adb-linux, depending on your os.
1. Install the ROM
2. Reboot the phone
3. Open up a cmd/bash prompt, somewhere you have access to adb
3b. Open terminal app
4. run: adb-<youros> shell pm setInstallLocation 2
4b. type pm setInstallLocation 2
To anyone who types "adb-<youros>"... you shouldn't be here!
This will force all apps to be installed to SD
Other options are:
adb-<youros> shell pm setInstallLocation 0
- This causes apps to be installed to their preferred location. For 99.9% of current apps, this will be internal memory, and it won't be possible to move them.

- This causes ALL apps to be installed to internal memory. For 99.9% of current apps it won't be possible to move them.
MAKE SURE YOU MOVE YOUR WIDGETS TO INTERNAL MEMORY, OR THEY WILL DISAPPEAR
Any chance for dark or grey taskbar , instead of white ? considering all those screen burn in reports.

i loved your desire roms so this should be awesome for my new nexus! but one problem, i just can't stand adw launcher, would much rather use launcher pro. is there an easy way to switch adw for launcher pro and resign the rom?

You'll need to replace the statusbar from framework.res.apk with the one you want, but black is not recommended.

Just download load it from the market and press home, then use the default checkbox and press the launcher you want.
well yeah i know i can just take it from the market but i have always been under the impression that it is better to have the launcher as a system app?
Well, you could download the app then, use Astro or Root explorer to back it up. Copy it to you computer, make it into an update.zip and flash it to your /system partition.

So far all the app devs confirmed their rich notifications do work on 4.1.2 so it's definitely a ROM bug. Can't expand with one finger... or 2. Only gmail rich notifications are working.

I noticed that the default application doesn't stick but for tapatalk only . I installed three different SMS apps and they stick as I want , the browser as well , popup is default and you can tell us about the others apps.

Sorry frate, my bad
I don't care about Tapatalk not sticking, not a deal breaker but rich notifications are a big problem.
If you have running foreground apps or apps with persistent icon you will notice that they appear in your drop down menu. With 4.1.1 they implemented "expansion" of those notifications, if the app supports it. In 4.1.1 it was done with a 2 finger swipe gesture, swiping the notification downwards was expanding it. Gmail app is an example.
With 4.1.2 they changed that behavior to single finger gesture, both for expansion and collapsing. This doesn't work on Codec 9.1 Also it's not working with 2 fingers. So basically I can't expand my notifications. This kind of a deal breaker since I use Lux with its rich notifications to adjust the screen brightness, dropping below normal 0 level. I checked stocks by expanding notification, so on and so forth.
I will take a screen shot from my tab, which runs 4.1.1 so you will have a clear idea.

I am using Siyah kernel.
On a previous rom there was an option to change the dpi settings - I like it on 241.
There was no option in this rom.
So I pulled the build.prop file for /system and changed the SECOND of the 2 density settings to 241, I pushed the file back and rebooted. My phone just couldn't get bast the boot animation. I could only go to recovery, so I did, wiped and flashed again.
I then tried to change the dpi using the toolkit (from XDA), it said it was successful and asked to reboot - I did. Same problem again, can't get passed the bootanimation. Went to recovery, wiped and flashed.
Any idea how I can change the dpi?

Did you have a look to the permissions of the built.prop?rw-r--r--
I did it with the Codec 8.6...i just opened the built prop with text editor,changed the density,safed the changes and reboot.
Thats how i did it.Maybe this is a way to to it for you too

down below there are some pics showing you that DPI has been changed and how to .
i was using solid explorer to navigate to build.prop and toolbox for editing it.
first make a backup of your original build.prop somwhere .
open solid explorer and navigate to it root/system/build.prop . you must grant full acces to both apps when superSU requires.
open bulid.prop file and from the apps`s list offered to do it , choose build properties which is integrated on rom toolbox app , you don`t need to open rom toolbox (some others might work as well , haven`t tried it though)
then scroll down until you find ro.sf.lcd_density (in my pic has been already changed)
choose your desired default value for it , save and reboot .
that`s it ! the pics will help you
reverting to original 320 DPI , same way , same without problems

i`m not sure if it works but what about to push the original file into root/system/framework fix permission -rw-r-r- recte 644 , reboot
make a back up first of the one you`ve got

Actually I'm writing it pretty correct, its called rich notifications.
I'm talking about this part of the code from Android; platform_framework_base/blob/master/core/java/android/app/Notification.java
In this code if you take a look at line 1395 & 1647 Android Code you will see that I'm not mistaken. Its often referred as "multimedia rich notification" as it handles some functions of apps like Lux does, or my IMKB stock app does. Also Android 4.1.2 change log shows that they changed it to 1 finger gesture from 2. AOSP Change Log - Line 256 - 257
Please take it to DSA and see if he has any clue. If he says he didn't mess around with the code than its probably a Samsung version bug for which I will file a report. But before doing that I would like to have DSA's opinion. Don't wanna report a bug which only happens to me (?)

Are You Having Browser "Download Unsuccesful", "Unable To Capture Screenshot", Or Internal Storage Issues? Then Read The Post Below!
This is one problem that has happened to me before and having these types of problems has to do with your Internal Storage being "write-protected" which means that your Internal Storage has been locked to protect the data that's in it so editing or deleting anything from your Internal Storage will not work and anything that you do on your device such as doing screenshots or downloading any type of file onto your device will cause a automatic failure since the main directory is set to the Internal Storage, not your External SD Card.
TO FIX IT...
Make sure you plug your device to a computer and once you do this, back up everything from your Internal Storage onto your Desktop PC/Laptop. Once you do that, now your going to have to delete your whole Internal Storage files using a root explorer such as ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, Or anything that works for you and make sure you have it enabled to r/w [Read/Write Mode]. Now head into the directory that your Internal Storage files are located and then delete every single folder in it. Once your done doing that, now connect your device back to your Desktop PC/Laptop and then add back all of your Internal Storage files that you have saved on your PC back into your device, Reboot your device, and now everything should be working!

No network connection either. Mr Impossible had the same issues with his beta builds. I said "had" because I haven't tried his most recent beta 7 build. So I'm not sure if he fixed it.

Flashing the modem won't change anything. I went through all the troubleshooting I could on another beta port I linked to in order to get network services to connect. It's some other issue. What exactly is beyond me. I'm sure dubbsy would have more insight since he has handled ports.

TIPS:
See Post #2 for the Aroma Add-on Package, so that you can choose which Samsung Apps / functions you want back.
You can use this Aroma add-on package at any time after flashing this rom (So you can first use the rom barebone and look for yourself which app/feature you want to have back)
The ART runtime is still experimental, and I don't recommend to use it. You will also get slightly better performance with the Dalvik runtime.
The aim of this ROM is to keep it as close to the stock firmware as possible. Because this way the ROM is the most stable you can get, and also you don't have any mods that can have influence on the performance and/or battery life of the ROM.
Also you can tweak the interface on your own nowadays with Xposed Framework plugins like: Wanam Xposed, GravityBox & Xposed G-TouchWiz.
With the Xposed G-TouchWiz plugin you can remove/hide the S-Finder & QuickConnect buttons in the notification panel.
And with the 'Galaxy S5 Widgets' Xposed module you can get widgets on your lock-screen.
So please don't ask in this thread if I can add an mod for those functions.
I strongly recommend to install SVoice with the Aroma add-on package, even if you don't use SVoice, just to disable the Home key SVoice launch delay in SVoice. (Svoice -> Menu key -> Settings -> De-select: Open via the home key)
After disabling this option, the home key will react much quicker when you press it.
You can disable the Svoice app if you want after this (Settings -> Application Manager -> All -> S Voice -> Disable), but do not delete the app data of it.
I recommend to set all the 3 Animation settings to 0.5 in the Developer settings menu, for much faster animations (and experience).
How to:
- Enable the Developer Options (Settings -> About Device -> 8x tap the Build number)
- Go to the Developer Options (Settings -> Developer options)
- Scroll down, and set:
'Window animation scale' to 0.5
'Transition animation scale' to 0.5
'Animator duration scale' to 0.5
- Enjoy the faster animations!
All the Google Play Store apps are NOT included in the ROM (or Aroma add-on package), you can download those by yourself in the Play Store.
If you choose to use the ART runtime, then the first reboot after you did choose the ART runtime will take a very long time to boot up. The bootscreen shows up longer than usual (around the 3 minutes), and after that the 'Android is upgrading...' screen will take a few minutes)

Been using the G900F version since I can remember. Rock solid ROM and I love the flash-what-you-want approach. While this is a great ROM, I am one of the few who could careless about the T-Mobile specifics like VoLTE (no LTE or VoLTE here) and no signal issues so no need to pay T-Mobile (I pay each month to use their network, not mine) to use my own WiFi to make calls.
Anyone considering this should know that edgarf28 is very active in his threads, and very friendly. Again his ROMs are also very stable. I know T-Mobile specifics were most often requested and now those folks can have their fun. Thanks for doing this!
I have yet to trip my knox and flash a custom rom but this is very tempting...

Did you flash the "USA T-Mobile Carrier Apps" ?
It works for me on the G900F without T-Mobile Apps so that might not be the issue. I'll flash G900T and try it. I thought that wifi hotspot on G900T required a T-Mobile hotspot app?
edit: Just tested with the base install, this is indeed happening. I think G900T rom needs the T-Mobile Hotspot app. I don't think that is included with the addon package either.

It does require the app. If you remove or do not flash the T-Mobile apps, you will not be able to use the Hotspot. I'll look into pulling the apk when I have time and putting it on here for just the Hotspot app or maybe edgar will do it.
UPDATE!!!! It does not work even after re-flashing the T-Mobile apps in the Aroma package. I was a beta tester and I tested this and it worked on the beta rom before I removed the T-Mobile apps. I think it may break something when you remove them and then it cannot be fixed by just re-flashing. It may need a total rom re-flash. I will shoot edgar a note in case he misses this.

I just went back and flashed the beta rom and it still doesn't work. I am not sure what is happening. We'll have to let edgar dig in and fix.

Edgar will get it fixed I'm sure. He has 3 versions of this rom though so be patient. It's still by far the fastest and lightest rom. I tried Alliance and it was ok but had some lagginess compared to this. I found I could do most of my customization I wanted using Xposed and a different launcher. Battery life is very good too and I've seen some unreal results of other members using this rom and the Blaze kernel.
I will have an look at the Wi-Fi hotspot bug tomorrow people, I don't have much time for it right now.
But the Hotspot shortcut on the app drawer is not an separate app, it's just an shortcut to the function in the Settings app.
Sorry that the bug did slip in guys!
EDIT: Released v.1.2.1b of the ROM, and it should be fixed now, also removed the T-Mobile tethering restrictions.

Update 2018: Not many people are on Z3 anymore and even less using Fragment ROM, but just a heads-up - Mediafire has begun flagging random files as viruses in attempts to get users to purchase Bitdefender from them (I'm assuming they get a commission) so I have taken the liberty of removing all my files so that Mediafire is no longer tempted to flag them up, and so that they don't get any ad revenue from potential users visiting the links. Everything needed is on AFH so this won't affect much anyway. Just an explanation for some missing links.

So after reports that V4.1.5 doesn't work, that V4.1.5 did work, that V5 doesn't work and that V5 actually does work (with custom kernels I mean).....
I'm leaving both versions here for people to download. They should both work. It is down to users to get custom kernels to boot with Fragment ROM now as I can only provide the ROM as is. My argument is that if you are running an unlocked bootloader then you should be at an advanced enough level to work out what needs to be done in order to make the phone boot up with a custom kernel. You are free to edit the Fragment ROM zips to your preference and modify anything for your private use to get things working (in fact I encourage you to do this to get the most out of your device!).
So have a go and let users know in the thread what worked for you on which kernel to get it booted up.

Due to incompatibility with RecRoot (the method of achieving root and recovery on Locked Bootloader) I have had to make a separate version of Fragment for Unlock Bootloader users if you want to use custom kernels.
The only difference is the lack of recroot so be warned you need to flash / fastboot your chosen custom kernel for TWRP access (only tested 78Kernel)
Instructions:
Boot to TWRP (install this however you want if you don't already have it)
Factory Reset
Flash Fragment ROM UB Version (this still includes the stock kernel, just not root or recovery)
Flash Kernel (tested with 78Kernel)
Flash SuperSU Systemless
Flash DRM Patch
Reboot (it will probably show a black screen for a while if flashing SuperSU. Don't touch it. If it hangs there for longer than around 5 mins (was for me) then it might not be booting so have patience / try again)

I just removed Chrome completely from this since you can get it from Play Store anyway. I did the same to V2 of the Deodex.
It looks like you need to go to system/vendor/app and delete the ChromeCustomizations folder. I don't know why since I deodexed it, but it causes an issue for Chrome.
I have just done this and it works fine. This will be sorted in V2
Yeah try it. If you have any issues you can clean install, but I don't see any problems from that. Remember this is heavily debloated compared to the Stock Deodex so if any apps are missing you can download the addons and edit them with an archive tool like 7zip or winrar and delete all the bloat you don't want. Then flash it and you'll have the system apps back that you are missing

Good to hear. Remember for V1 to delete the Chrome Customization folder in system/vendor/app or Chrome won't play nice.
Apart from that I don't think there's any bugs.
I'm already working on changing the SystemUI a little bit, but I'll see what happens. There may be an updated version of the Xperia X one coming soon...

It seems to be an archaic and unnecessary transfer protocol. The device would be partitioned completely differently for true implementation and I think it's best left in the past...

This is mine without BlurredUI.
If it isn't the same as mine. Apply the theme and reboot/ restart systemUI.
If you wanted another colour you need to find a theme this black notification panel. I admit that it isn't actually black but that's Sony for you

Okay well good suggestion.
It won't be a priority but if I get a chance and can manage it I can always add it later.
No time soon though. Taking it slow to make sure it's stable.
Couple things to work out already and I'm working hard on V2
Working on version 2. Won't be released until there is a significant enough change to warrant uploading a whole ROM. So could take a while.
I will make it an OTA patch though to flash over V1, but some manual work will need to be done to clean bugs.

Fixed Chrome issues by deleting chrome customization from vendor/apps (people on V1 can do this themselves. Also delete the ims folder in there)
Cleaned up the systemUI apk to add back some defaults from Xperia X
Fixed org.codeaurora.ims stopped issue on some start-ups (version 1 users delete ims folder from vendor/apps as stated)
Disabled mobile data disabled notification as it is annoying as hell
Fixed the weird sound when taking pics/ screenshot with sound on (changed the shutter sound in system back to default)
