I am having a hard time trying to find replacements for the earbuds I lost.
I traveled to Botswana for the Christmas holidays, and I lost the ear buds that came with my SBH52. I want the very same ones, but no luck with sony store online. They are called MH755 Headset, and they are back ordered. I placed an order anyway (over the phone), and they shipped 2 weeks later. Total cost was $23.95, including shipping. Sony shipped them FedEx ground, which took 7 days to get from Laredo, Texas to Bellefontaine, OH!
Then tracking said "delivered" while I was at work at 10:45am. I got home at 4:15pm, and there was no package! I call Fedex, they swear it was left on the door step!......
Called Sony next Monday so they can initiate a claim, and of course they said it's out of stock, so they refunded my money, which will take 7 to 10 business days! Not happy!
I would be glad if someone would sell me their set if they upgraded to something else.
I think the FedEx driver is lying about my package. Not the first one I lost at this address, also through FedEx ground!
If anybody has upgraded to other headphones, I would be obliged if you let me buy your Sony ones. Or if you know somebody who does, please let me know.
maybe thats helps

Thanks for the response. But although those are Sony, they are a different model. Cable is too long too. But thanks anyway.

If you are looking for new headphones and if you like huge stage, insane bass and Sony build quality the Sony MDR-XB90EX is for you. Dynamic 16 mm driver, 200mW, 4 -27K KHz, 16 ohm, Neodymium. What else you can wish? Low price? It is $100 range so not that bad.
I own this headphones for 2 years now an all I can say... super happy. Huge stage, insane sub bass, excellent fitting. 16 ohm so you phone will do just fine, no need for amp. Sound quality is excellent and after 2 years nothing really happened. I am listening music every day for 3-5 hours. If i say compare to others these headphone worth $400 - $500. Yes, is that good.

I just got the Sony xba-2ip which are very highly recommended http://www.whathifi.com/review/sony-xba-2ip
Initially they don't sound any better than my old £30 sennheisers but apparently you have to warm them up over a week or so and then they sound awesome. Would never usually go near sony headphones but they have been doing some amazing products in the last couple of years.

XBA-2 are not dynamic headphones. There is nothing to worm up. Dynamic headphones like Sony MDR-XB90EX with big 16mm driver always have better bass textures, more natural sound and the highs dues not sound synthetic. You have to try one of this to understand. I use to have Monster Turbine, Hippo VB and some other same price range headphones but nothing can not come close really.

I personally prefer natural sounds, dynamics for me aren't quick enough. Superb bass I'll grant you but I think they miss a lot of detail on the highs and mids.

Dynamic headphones have natural sound and more textured deeps and not synthetic (metallic) high tones. That is the thing of armature driver. If you like more natural sound then XBA-2 is not really good choice. The stage is another story but also on the side of dynamic drivers.

Oh Nooo! My thread has been jacked!
Hahahaha! Thanks everyone for your input and suggested substitutes, but I already spent a hundred dollars buying the SBH52, don't wanna spend another hundred, just so I can use the gadget I've got.
Looking for the original cable and buds.

Hey no worries. I am glad I can help. Shure se215 are excellent. I really like possibility to replace cable. Amazing price to performance ratio.
Hello folks!
My ordeal with replacing the OEM earphones has finally come to a close! To sum it up: there are NO replacement earphones. They cannot be sourced from Sony.
In mid January, I called the accessories department on the 800 number and got a sales rep in India who researched and came up with the part number. Placed the order, and 2 weeks later, Fedex lost my package. Sony refunded me for the $24 bucks, which included 2-day shipping. Part was out of stock again!
I re-ordered, paying in advance. Part comes in, it was the wrong part! It was just a cable with 3.5mm jacks on both ends!
I call Sony, and this time I'm pissed! They try to sell me some other headphones, from the $20 long cable (non-bluetooth) to the $99 MH1C, for a discount! I demand to speak to a supervisor, and I said if this were Apple or Sumsang, I could have walked into a Walmart and gotten replacements, or gone to an Apple or Samsung store! At that point, the supervisor gives me another 800 number to call.
This turns out to be the customer satisfaction center in Texas, and I explain the situation to the representative. He understands I lost the headphones, and I need a replacement. He goes on to generate an RMA and emails it to me (he used my phone number for proof of purchase). I had to return my perfectly working SBH52 and USB cable, so they can send me a new unit. Parts cannot be sold separately.
I sent the unit of by priority mail with signature confirmation, and it was received 2 days later.
Meanwhile the SBH52 is out of stock on Sony's website, so I wasnt expecting I would be getting it any time soon. But out of the blue, the UPS man knocks on my door and hands me a package from Sony! 2 weeks later! I had to sign for this one!
Brand new SBH52! Yaaay! Now I can listen to music again!
Edit:
I recognise the SBH52 from a scratch I had on the clip, next to the NFC logo. Still out of stock @ Sony. So they included another headphone, and repackaged it.
Happy all the same. Jamming to my beats again!

I like Skull Candy Inked as well. With PowerAMP EQ set up like iTunes Electronic set up and Bass and Treble sliders up it sounds great! They're only 15 buck and as long as you ahve the reciept you have unlimited warranty and they send you new ones if they're broken.

I was going to recomment the M6's as well. You can often find them under $15 at places like newegg.com.
They're well reviewed by audiophiles at head-fi.org for their value against price. For my ears, they sound much better than the skullcandy's under $40.
Thanks guys lol feel like I'm making a live decision. I will let you guys know what I got and if was pleased

I swear by the Sennheiser CX line. I have the CX-300s, here is the newer version of those:
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-MK-II-Earbuds-Carrying/dp/B001EZYMF4/
Best sounding headphones I've ever had were "woodys" I believe they were colby and they sounded magnificent got them for 5 bucks at big lots
Shot from my shooter in 3D
injected with cleanrom2.7
the 50/50's are just over 40 bucks but i think they are worth it. the sound is wonderful from the bass to the trebble. ive used just about every skull candy bud around and i def reccommend those. id say they are a close second to the titans just because the bass is amazing on those.
MDR-XB41EX
I have the 40EXs and they sound fantastic. These are just the newer model, so I'm assuming they have the same sound characteristics. Frequency response (4Hz - 24,000Hz), sensitivity (105dB/mW, you will hear things you've never heard in a song), and isolation are great with these headphones. For 50 bucks, they're not the best headphones out there, but they're the best bang for the buck. The bass can be a bit overwhelming if you do not listen to bass-oriented music, but a tweak of the equalizer will fix it.

That's quite an old model, I paid like $50 for mine more than five years ago... They're not bad, and can obviously be found cheaper now, but the MEElectronics M9P (mic version) I bought for $20 not too long ago are far better (way more balanced sound), they're also far better than most overpriced Skullcandies if you ask me. MEElec has some amazingly good bang for your buck models under $50 tbh, some stuff that actually compete well with some $50 models from Senn, Nuforce, Ety, etc. Most
I was actually surprised to see MEElec headphones at CompUSA the other day, and I'm mildly surprised BB sells them online. Most audio gear sold by big electronics stores like BB is usually vastly overpriced, specially at their brick and mortar stores.
Skullcandy started as a budget brand, and still is mostly, but they've never been great for the price regardless. Stuff like Bose and Beats are just a rip off. JVC and Koss are two of the very few brands they have a foothold in general electronics stores like that and aren't usually ripping you off. The JVC HAF34 are solid if you need to buy locally btw.
That's my two cents... Do some research at a forum like HeadFi, they can be snobbish at times but if you know how much you're willing to spend you're always gonna be better off after looking at some of the recommendations there.
Anyone ever tried the Skull Candy Fix earbuds? I had never even seen them before today. A vendor at the Georgia vs Florida game had them for sale in a few different colors. They are suppose to stay in your ear better than any other earbuds due to their design. I don't have any issues with the Skull Candy Titan earbuds staying in, but I've never jogged or exercised while using them either (which the Fix line claims to be able to do). These also have call function with them too, which the Titan line doesn't have, and something that I'm now wanting a pair of earbuds to be capable of. Please let me know if any one has any feedback on these.

Just bought these tonight for my EVO 4G LTE. Got them from Best Buy for 69.99 + tax.
Some specs.
Talk/music time up to 10 hrs.
Standby time up to 15 days.
Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR (A2DP/AVRCP)
Vibrating call alert
Music and phone controls
Noise reduction and echo cancellation
Magnetic on board earbud storage
Auto reconnect
Multi connect (Multi connect mode is like you pair it to a laptop (or whatever) as a music only bt device and then you can pair it to a phone as a call only type of bt device)
Water resistant
Very lightweight as well
It will read your sms to you if you download an app called BT Reader in Play Store.
First few hrs:
So far so good. I had no issues with pairing in fact they were very easy. I only had to turn on them and the Bluetooth on my phone and the first time they automatically go into auto pairing.
In the advanced features in Bluetooth you can select music, and calls I have both right now. I have played a bit of music from my phone and all is very nice. I good tone and bass for me. I like how Beats Audio auto enhances the music. I have been using it with Pandora for a while and surprisingly my battery is holding up well as I am on the full odexed stock rooted rom.
They charged out of the box for about an hour until they were full and ready for use. It uses a 0.2 amp 5.1 volt a/c charger that comes with it via same mini USB our phone uses. Which is nice that a car charger could be used... not sure on that though since it would likely charge at 1 amp then which may be too much.
The length of the earbud is adjustable for you long neckers
I did not like the large rubber ear canal pieces that came with it so I swapped with smaller ones from my last earbud.
Update: used for a phone call and I was able to speak very softly and they could hear me fine and I could hear her well too. Call controls for answering worked great and vibrate was noticeable but not so strong as the rattle my teeth.
I was also able to walk about 30 feet from my phone in the house and not loose BT signal or clarity... will test further tomorrow.
Day 2: tested the distance agIn and found something interesting... seems I was angling my body just right to get the distance last night. I can walk over 75 feet from my phone and get music as long as the receiver in the headphones (left side) faces the phone. If you turn away you lose signal but turn the left side facing the phone and it instantly comes back. Quality did not seem effected over the distance. So far have about 2 hrs play time on them.
Controls work well.. forward button works on Pandora as well.
Bass boost works nicely really bumped it up. I had trouble switching it over to bass boost bit chalking it up to my thumbs lol
So far on approx 7.5 hrs of use and they show a medium charge level when checked so that isn't bad.
End of Day 2: Used them for about 11hrs and still showing medium power level... way impressed considering it said up to 10 hrs I expected 8 or less.
day whatever lol : bringing them back friday...startedhaving issues if I had my phone on my hip.in holster...started to break up signal. Didn't have the issue right away. Also was working on my house and when working in odd positions my neck started to push the buttons. Drove me nuts. So first reason could be my phone but its odd it didn't do that several days ago. I think the main reason I'm brining them back to exchange is the way I use them. The other could be a range of things.
Finaal thoughts...they work good. Great sound from it. Worked great for calls too. Just the style started to bug me and I don't make calls or use that function so I think only headphones are for me. I would give these a solid B dispite the issue I had with my phone attached to my hip. I'm basically ignoring that since it could just be the holster phone hip combo blocking signal. Find a good deal somewhere on these I would suggest picking them up.
Questions? I'll try to answer them.

yeah... they are cheaper online and many other things are as well... I bought them at best but because I was not sure of what style I wanted so buying them online... paying shipping and not liking them would result in a pain in the rear returning them if I even could... now since I bought them locally I can return them within 30 days with no return shipping hassle and exchange for a different set. Sometimes especially when your not sure on something buying online isn't best.

No. Best Buy does not match the prices of Internet-only retailers or the website prices of our local retail competitors' stores.

I have had these for a few weeks bought them at the sprint store for around $55 because he gave me a 20% off coupon. I don't seem to get the same distance that the op is getting. I have had these for a few weeks bought them at the sprint store for around $55 because he gave me a 20% off coupon. I don't seem to get the same distance that the op is getting. If I put my phone in my pocket outside it constantly breaks up and I can barely walk across the room with out losing connection. I might need to take them back and swap them out for a new set.

Are you using a case by any chance? I also picked up this unit awhile ago and even with the silicone sleeve the distance drops a little bit, without anything on the phone though i get about 25-30 while i'm washing my car keeping the phone inside on the dash. If theres nothing in the way then you should probably exchange it.

I've got the Jaybird bluebuds and they are great. I replaced the tips for some foamy ones and they fit great.
The sound is awesome and I've never had a problem with the battery.
I recommend them

They Jaybird Freedom Sprint has Apt-X. I use this one. It has very crappy battery life at 4.5 hours. But then again it is targeted only for working out and so is more than sufficient for a workout session hell even two days off Strictly workout sessions.
I know a LG representative that has the tones and all bias aside he loves them he's a boxer. When he trains he says they do not move even when he sweats. And they also have phenomenal battery life, but for me I would just use the J birds if I was strictly doing workouts.
If you are looking for something that is to replace your headphones and you want to go wireless all around, then I would recommend the Bluedio R+ bluetooth headphones. They are apt X bluetooth 4 NFC and has a slot for microSD card so if your phone is dead and use a micro SD card for your music you can just pop it in the headphones and be good to go! All of this for under $100. Its roughly under a hundred if you order from China or you can get them on Amazon and ebay for about $120 to $140.
I ordered mine from http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1174967490.html
Mine are on the way so I have not tested it personally but if you read all reviews about them everyone has something good to say about it. They are apparently the best in their class for the money if you like to listen to music with alot of bass.

One thing I forgot to mention about the J bird freedom sprint is that it is the second version the one right before the blue but X. The new ones are horrible in terms of sitting in your ears that is the number one thing you read about them. This sounds post to be excellent and so the battery life at about eight and a half hours but what is the point if they can't even fit in your ears comfortably while you're working out.
However the freedom Sprint version which is roughly 80 dollars, is the most comfortable earphones that I have tried. Even the call mic quality is good. They do not fall out if you use the honeycomb shape inserts, which taper off at the end in the same shape as that little groove in your ear right above the ear hole...and it just clicks right in

Not used any BT 4.0 headphones/receivers yet, but been very happy with the Samsung HS3000 for more than a year now. BT 3.0 but with Apt-X, love the versatility of being able to use different headphones with it - IEM for exercise/when portability is of paramount importance, full-sized cans when wanted, or even connecting to stereos etc via 3.5mm-3.5mm cable. Can be had really pretty cheap now too, around the $30USD mark.
FYI, list of Apt-X gears here: http://www.csr.com/technology-solut...wered-by-csr-aptx/bluetooth-stereo-headphones

The problem with the Jaybirds is that they care about sound quality, so the openings where the sound comes out are really large for a pair of ear buds. This in turn makes it hard to find comfortable tips that fit in your ears.
The tips that come with the buds are all too large to sit comfortably and they all feel like they are going to fall out (though they never actually have)
I recently went to target and found some foam tips in the bargain bin. I forced them over the tips of the bluebuds and it solved all the problems. They fit great and I never feel like it is going to fall out.

They can be pricey, but the battery lasts up to 8 hours, comes with a lifetime warranty, and they are really quality built.
Even the packaging is impressive. Sweat proof.
I'm telling you, I'd buy them again, and I'm a cheapskate.
you guys are right about the LG Tones+. They are awesome! I forget I'm even wearing them half the time because they're so lightweight. Also, they sound amazing, I don't need BT 4.0 for them to work great, they have AMAZING battery life (rated for 10, not 8 hours for music) and I used them all day at work 2 days in a row, while still having the battery on 'medium'. That was 2 10 hour shifts too.
I didn't think I'd like the design, because I thought it looked clunky, but like I said I barely can tell I'm wearing them. Maybe once my Fiance sees them she'll think otherwise on the styling, which is when I'll probably pick up the ankers, but for now, these work wonderfully and impressed me.
The only gripe I have (and this isn't specific to this headset, it pertains to all BT headsets) is I can only pair with two deices at once, unless I'm mistaken? I want to use this with my new MBP, my iPad and my Note III. My PS3 would be an added bonus, anyone know how to accomplish this or if I'm just being a newb and doing it wrong?
My Jaybird Bluebuds X work great as well. You can buy the tips from the site below.
http://www.complyfoam.com/
FYI for those interested in the BackBeat Go 2 Tiger Direct has them for $69.99 (instant $10 off) and a $20 mail in rebate for a final price of $49.99.
I know mail-in rebates kinda suck. But it a good deal at $49.99

Those are the exact same tips I got. But for like 3 dollars at Target.
I was prowling the isles in rite aid (yes the pharmacy place) while my mom was getting her meds (she is nuts and while browsing the junk isle I found some cheap bluetooth headphones.
$30. figured ok for $30 they probably suck and they don't "look" amazing by any stretch. hey 25% off.. so $22.50 and I buy them. at the register I get a $6 coupon so I go back and grab another pair in red figure maybe a gift? at $16 who cares!
I get home jack them in and .... well my mind is simply blown. no other way to put it.

I just paid $22.50 for a set of wireless bluetooth headphones that sound better than some $100 wired headphones I have tried. No joke. I can't believe it. I try song after song and just can't get over how freaking good they sound. I think. Fluke. I rip open the other package. SAME.
good solid bass. won't rattle your skull but definitely not "missing" bass. good highs good mids good balance. good volume (won't blow your ear drums but I turned them down a notch) I can't believe it.
I bought them figuring to make them a skype gaming headset and now they are also my primary music cans too. I am already thinking mods to increase battery life (stock is 10 hours) custom paint and larger muffs to fit over my gigantor ears.
NOW they are half off !!! $15 freaking dollars. I bought another pair and have plans to buy at least 2 more if I can for modding hacking and just having extra's. they sound that damned good.
GO to a rite aid right now if you can. pull them out of the pack pair it to your phone and TRY IT. if you HAVE $16 in your pocket (tax) you WILL be buying them. they really are just that good.
from CRAIG of all things. I can't believe they are so good.
Here is a little video review I put online (in 4k!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMvYESOMmAY
go give them a listen. you won't be disappointed. they sound that good especially for $15. they work well for phone calls too. thinking about modding a set with a boom mic. should not be that hard to do. bigger muffs and a boom plus some orange paint equals perfection!
they also have a convertible tower speaker system (with line in 3.5 in BT in and fm radio and remote) half off $30. I grabbed a set. it was broken out of the box (second speaker no joy but 5 minutes later my soldering iron fixed that (wire was not connected)
"shockingly" good. not as "wow" as the headphones (those are simply astonishing) but pretty damned good for the price and they look nice too. I am going to put a set in the camper and get another one to hack up and put some quality speakers inside with a woofer.
they also had a sound bar for $30 but it was a two speaker bar and seemed pretty janky to me.
I bought these www.amazon.com/dp/B0070UKBO8/ for $45 and they are awesome.
For $15 I would give a pair of these a shot myself. Sadly there's no Ride Aid stores in my area and for that matter nobody seems to carry them locally in my area as well. Bummer as I wouldn't mind finding a good replacement for my semi aging Motorola S805.
you can get them around $40 online. they truly "ARE" worth the price. I would never have bought a pair for $40 without having listened to them.
after listening to them. instantly. they really are that good. at least to my ears. so far I am 100 for 100. every single person I have had listen to them has bought a pair. even got a rite aid employee to buy a pair tonight
here is a pair on ebay
111247675824
$40 shipped $30 if you "bid" instead of buy it now and no one outbids you.
very worth it. I am even thinking of nabbing a few to resell (they want $78 on amazon. that's nuts)
Good find, definitely cheap enough! If I didn't have the Motorola S11 Flex HD (which I absolutely love!) then I'd try these out.
SwiftKey'ed from my White Sprint Note 3 via XDA Premium
I went and got these.....for 15dlls they ARE awesome. No they wont blow away any audiophiles outthere but for the price u get way more than what u paid for. Good find and thanks for the tip

Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk
Hmmm. I don't "see" any model numbers. I just did a search for Craig Bluetooth Headset. forget amazon that seller is nuts $78. I bought a few to put on ebay for $40 (worth a shot) No link I think that would be inappropriate for this forum.
Gonna write a letter to craig and let them know how good they are. they really need to keep making these.
I just bought a pair of these and for the price they are awsome. I have owned the Beats Studio, Executives, Wireless, and the Pro's. I don't think those are worth the price but if you have to have that little b on the side of your headphones then go for it. I personally think that they are not worth the price but these are. I was talking to my 15 year old daughter about fixing her $ 180 beats that her mom bought her against my advise and she broke them within 3 months. I told her that I could get a set of cheap head phone and put the speakers from her beats in them so that she could have the better speakers in the cheap headphones. She said "they wouldn't say beats" so when I unboxed these and paired them and she could hear how loud they were she was begging for them and I said but "they are not Beats" and laughed at her.
Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
thats when you get a beats sticker and slap it on the side hehe plus I was simply not impressed with the sound of the beats. I honestly think these sounds better. not as loud no. not as much bass either (but I considered the beats to be over powered)
I tried "souls" too they sounded like crap.
I just pickup one of these.. have not tested it out yet.. but the store i got it from still have several of them.. 1 more blue several whites one and a couple of black ones.. if this is good like the OP says.. i might pick up several more.. BDAY gifts in the future..
Anyone found these cheap anywhere other than rite Aid or whatever? We don't have these around these parts of Oklahoma...
Sent from my SM-N900V
The beats solo's are like 200 bucks and these sound far better than those and they sound just as good as the wireless ones which are 280 I think. The only thing I wish these had would be a wire back up.

Yep they're rechargeable, I ended up buying 3 of these. They're hard to find in my area though. Most Rite Aid stores are out because they're a clearance item now. Went to 5 stores and in two I got my collection. The third store I went to had a red and the fifth had a white and a blue. They sound pretty damn good for what they are. The price is $29.99 but now they're half off at $14.99, so better hurry.

Most of these things use Bluetooth Low Energy so it shuoldn't. However, streaming and playing music is usually a battery hog.

If you do end up doing any mods to them I'd be interested since the ear cups are just way too small for me. If I could mod the ear cups, I'd be quite happy with these.

I know those are too expensive for what you actually said but I got them 2 weeks ago and I'm simply blown away. I bought LG-Tone+ 700. I like them alot but they won't be 20 or 30 bucks US. I assume probably Close to 40 or 50. I got mine from Amazon but since I live in Europe, they cost me 55 euros. Best Investment because I've bought 100 Dollar wired headphones that aren't as good as these.
+1 on the LG tone, on sale you can get them for slightly under 40. Haven't had to buy new headphones for over a year now with these things because there aren't any wires to get messed up with prolonged use. Went through so many pairs of headphones where it broke near the 3mm jack. No more problems

I have owned the Lg hbs700 and the 730. Both are excellent bluetooth headphones for the price. I recently purchased a pair of Arctic p311's because I had a $30 giftcard to Tiger Direct and could not find anything else that I wanted from them. I have to say that I am absolutely blown away from the sound that these produce for under $30.
I have a pretty big head and although they don't look like they would be comfortable, they very much are! They also stay in place if you want to use them in the gym. The Lg models always slip off when laying down to do bench pressing.
Here is a link to them from Amazon if you want to check them out.

People are offering what they can. How about a thanks to everyone who DID suggest something. Next time, instead of the nasty response, maybe saying, "thanks" would be more in order. Perhaps NO response would have been better.

It was your response that led me to respond as I did. If you don't appreciate the help you get, don't ask for help at all. People are doing it because they are trying to be HELPFUL. Ignore what doesn't work for you by $20 or so (and, you get what you pay for), and instead look at the cheaper suggestions. Posting a snarky comment about people not reading your EXACT parameters and posting what they did is honestly, NOT going to engender people from helping next time.

I was notified of this set on slickdeals last week from Newegg.com for 20 bucks, they are fantastic, comfortable and have a great battery life. Right now they are 30 bucks. So I ordered one and lo and behold I open the package yesterday, guess what...Newegg accidentally sent me 2 lmao! Scooore! Seriously though they sound way better than my cheapo pair of insignia before, plus those had the mesh part of the earpiece breakoff and they were just uncomfortable as all hell to wear. These Kinivios have padding instead, very comfortable.
