I see on one of the ROM screenshots that the build date is in 2013 - you mean 2014 surely?
I was wondering, does this ROM have the on/off dark display toggle that can be found in the 'settings' menu of many 4.2.2 ROMS?

not usless at all, cause we don't have a decent kit kat rom yet so, sticking on jelly bean is better for now, and this rom is good from description, maybe it'll be more stable and better than all other roms !
I'm definitely looking forward to this and in my opinion the useless roms are the stock ics and jb based roms which came in the last months. Included my Slim Jelly Beans

Look there are a TON of roms.
let people make them and such
just chill be happy that u have such a open device forum
on my own Acer device we have almost NO roms except MSR CM10 and stock rom.......
and u have like 50 roms.
so chill
this rom i made purely because i wanted something something special , also its bit of project to keep me busy and teaches me Java and such.
so Please "Another Useless rom???" dont use that bad language please
a lot of developers/modders/porters dont like that xD
looking forward try this rom when its on its stable version already

After 24h of using it's smooth and beautiful rom, only bug i found is GPS.. I cannot make it work . The other thing is the gapps you provided... all my contacts and calender is synced with google and there is no such apps in your lite gapps. So I used another version of CM10.2 gapps and got it to work. Still it would be nice to have these two apps added in your version of lite gapps as well because the full version definitely has too many useless stuff in it. Keep up the good work!

Hey Guys,
Welcome to my next project . At last, finally able to boot Android Lollipop in our little device. For now nothing works, but I'm sure we can make it stable at some point. Any help would be appreciated.
Note: Please don't say "This doesn't work or is it stable for daily use". It's just a preview release so that you can try out lollipop.
INSTALLATION
- Extract boot.img from the zip and flash it via fastboot
- Copy the zip to your SDCard
- Boot into recovery
- Wipe System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache
- Go to Mount and uncheck system
- Flash the zip
- Reboot your device
First boot takes some minutes. Wait patiently.
BUGS
- No Wifi (working)
- No Bluetooth (working)
- No RIL (still buggy)
- Audio doesn't work (working)
- SdCard not being recognised (Fixed)
- Camera doesn't work
- OMX not working
- No HW acceleration (working)
- Video playback (working)
- Many things, don't ask

It's too early to talk about this...Let the dev build a working ROM first and then we can care about RAM usage

It's not because it's the same version of the Linux Kernel that this compatible And the ROM is just a port, what is important now is to make things like wifi, etc, working.
Ahahah fantastic man. Great work!

It's not because it's the same version of the Linux Kernel that this compatible And the ROM is just a port, what is important now is to make things like wifi, etc, working.

So it isn't built from source?

Welcome to VanirAOSP.
Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android to as many devices as possible. This is not a kang rom. You will find versions of the features you love that we've rewritten and improved on plus a few we wrote ourselves. we've tried to acheive a more organized and cohesive setup to improve the user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality.
If you're the kind of person that needs options to change the font and color on every letter and expect the ROM to end up looking like kid's cereal box then GTFO. You will not find customizations that are done just because someone figured out how to do them. Everything in here has a purpose and is held to a high standard of coding.
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
minor UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
active notifications (improved active display + lockscreen notifications)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive desktop <- fully configurable immersive mode
low profile mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
many improvements and new features unique to vanir
more to come when i feel like updating the op

Active Display Works ?
Heaven has come to the zultra!!! Thank you very much! Can't wait to use this as my daily driver.
Noticed only two things:
* Double menu item in mobile network.
* swyping doesn't work for other languages (German)

These are not device specific bugs so it will be fixed eventually in the sources
Features stated in OP will roll out slowly after the guys at vanir stabilise most devices and have more time to backport features
BTW guys, there is MultiROM support in my unofficial builds, meaning, you can use it as your 1st ROM
Wait what!
Vanir? Awesome
Themes a bit more flakey than other ROMs. Settings fell over quite a few times. Need to change DPI for landscape nav bar.
Adaptive brightness works well.
Liking the choice for another primary in multirom.

I'm not in any way being negative. Just sharing. I like the choice we have for ROMs at the moment.

I transitioned from LiquidSmooth to this and I'm feeling it... The BT issue i had with Liquid is no more. But I hope you can apply the camera workaround in a future build because its not working yet...also, is there a adblock option hidden in the settings somewhere?, some ads are breaking thru.

I have multirom support in my unofficial builds so you can use it as your 1st ROM.
Any chance you'd be willing to support the GPE ZU?

If your comfortable with it very easy to edit the build prop. Or there's a flashable zip. I check every ROM I flash because I can't stand the echo on speaker phone.
Great!!

Maybe we will consider it in the next version, thank you for your idea. The battery icon is the same size as CyanogenMod version as I see. lol.

I prefer the stability, maybe after trying to use different Android version, I now like something that enough for daily driver. We make this ROM for this reason. We choose the feature for the ROM very strictly and we will try to remove unnecessary things as much as possible. Some options maybe not available because I think many people don't use it too often. But if there are many requests, that's ok we will add them back to the ROM .
a dark mode would be very useful as we are using a perfect amoled display. at least that's my opinion.
Sent from my ONE E1003 using XDA-Developers mobile app
There is no any equalizer or audio fx options found.
The ROM is smooth and fast but the phone heats up too much even in normal
Also the charging is slow compared to other ROMs
